“If you turn away, verily, I have proclaimed to you what was sent to me. My Lord (if desires) can bring another nation to your place, and you cannot harm Allah in any way. (This is) because My Lord is the Watcher over everything.”

Tafsir

If you turn away from Allah, know well that I have conveyed to you what Allah has sent to you with me, i.e. I am a Messenger of Allah, a Prophet. My duty is to invite you to Allah. To inform you that the fabricated gods you worship are not Allah. And to show you a straight path.

I have fulfilled my duty, I have informed you of these things, and I have not asked for any remuneration for my advice to you. My remuneration and reward belong to Allah, the Creator of the universe, who created me and you, and who holds everything under His sovereignty.

Allah is He Who, if He wills, will bring in your place another people, and you can do them no harm. For my Lord is All-knowing and All-watchful. He knows what is to come until the Day of Resurrection and He holds all things under His sovereignty.

Allah is the One who feeds and sustains His creatures and watches over them and is merciful and gracious. Allah is the bestower. And those whom you worship are servants in need of Him. No one can resist His command.

O my people! He warns his people that if you turn away from Allah, I fear a painful punishment that will come upon you.

What is said in the video

Peace be upon you, good evening.

Surah Hud, Surah Hud That thing, I am (?). (?)

Surah Hud, Surah Hud Turn that off. We had stopped at this surah's verse 57. We have no questions. If we had questions, we would have answered our questions.

Well, they will ask, inshallah.

If you turn away, surely I have conveyed to you what was sent to you. So says Hud (peace be upon him) to his people. What was sent with him? Allah's commands. Of course, in the time of Hud (peace be upon him) there was no written book. But since he was a prophet, there was Allah Almighty informing (?) through revelation. He conveys those communications, Allah Almighty's command, to people. What does he say? If you turn away, surely what was sent to you with me — that is, the command given to me by Allah, the verses, for me to convey to you — I have conveyed to you. My Lord, if He wills, brings another people in your place, and you cannot do Him any harm.

Yes. Allah Almighty, if He wills, in place of people, of (?) people, is able to bring a new people. Because Allah Almighty in history — that is, the past in the Holy Quran He made known to us, His telling it to us, is a history.

He tells of the peoples He destroyed. The peoples He destroyed. So Allah Almighty brought new peoples in their place. If He wills, He brings another people in your place, and you cannot do Him any harm. For my Lord watches over all things.

Allah Almighty, just as He watches over everything, is the one who knows everything, who programs the worlds until the Day of Judgment, who knows what will happen every second and holds it under His rule — Allah Almighty.

Yes. If you turn away from Allah, know this well: what Allah Almighty sent to you with me I have conveyed to you. That is, I am a prophet, Allah's messenger. My duty is to invite you to Allah. Yes, indeed, what is the duty of prophets? To invite people to Allah. So do those people not know Allah, then? Allah Almighty sends to those people, from among the people, an inviting prophet. Those people were divided into three groups at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm. Within these three groups: (?), those of the left, and the class of those brought near. So when they come to the earth, into a hidden world, people move away from Allah, they worship idols.

Who are they? Those of the left, and Sab'ül Meşremet-i Mâ — the people he calls Sab'ül Meşreme — those who to Allah Almighty, at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, gave their covenant as deniers. In the material world — since Allah Almighty brought people into an unseen world, a world where His Essence is not seen — according to the verse: did you think you would (?) without proving what kind of person you became, He makes people take themselves, those around them and Allah Almighty as witnesses, and in the hereafter, with people having no question left to ask Allah Almighty, people, for the actual deeds they did themselves, as the return of what their two hands earned, are called to account and sent to the places they deserve.

Yes. So, he says, I am a prophet; I was sent as a prophet, my duty is to invite you to Allah. Because you have gone astray, you worship idols, you deny Allah. Whereas there is a Lord who created the worlds, there is one Allah, there is a Creator. Those you worship, which benefit neither themselves nor those around, Allah created them too; the owner of the universe is Allah — saying this, they invite them to the truth, the prophets. My duty is to invite you to Allah. To make known that the invented gods you worship are not Allah. And to show you a straight path.

What is the straight path? Sırat-ı müstakim is, within the sharia rulings Allah has made known to people, a path by which one comes under His Essence and His mercy. The straight path on which people return to Allah Almighty's Essence and, walking that path under His mercy, by Allah Almighty's mercy reach their Lord — what do we call it? Sırat-ı müstakim, a straight path. People ruled by Allah's command walking on a straight path.

So I have completed my duty. I have made these things known to you. When I fulfilled my duty, for these counsels of mine to you I did not even ask for a fee. My fee and reward belong to Allah, who created me and you, the owner of the universe, who holds everything under His rule. Yes.

We too call out to people from here. We call out to people. That there is no god but Allah, that all souls will taste death and our return is to Allah — after Allah Almighty has made this known to us with His verse, people who are Muslim, who say the kalima shahada, saying I am a Muslim, saying I am a Muslim, are ruled by superstitions, and who show people the way within their own superstitions, claiming to be people of the tariqa — the fake sheikhs at the head of the tariqa, the fake sheikhs, unaware of themselves — fearing that when people hear the truth, their disciples, their students, when they hear the truth, will move away from them, blocking these people's way, and with all sorts of tricks keeping them from listening to the truth — these people, who have nothing to do with Islam, who divide Islamic unity, who want to abolish unity and togetherness, who practice a kind of enmity toward Islam — saying I am a Muslim, I will supposedly lead to the Truth, they have been ruled by these (?).

For their own interests, to block the way of the truth for those who hear the truth, for the sake of their own (?), these who do not give up dragging them along after them — these people. People who are responsible before Allah. Look, Surah Ar-Rum, Surah Ar-Rum, probably verse 32 it will be. Let's look now. Surah Ar-Rum. Yes. Thirty-two. The thirty-second verse. Do not be among those who split up their religion and became sects. To whom does it say this? It says it to Muslims. Who split up their religion? Christians. Protestants. Well, what else is there?

There are Protestants. Catholic. Catholic. Orthodox, there are Catholics, there are Catholics, there are, I mean, there are. They split their religion and became sects. So what difference is there between us and them? Claiming to be people of the tariqa, one does not send a person to the other, the other does not send to another, another says: no, you cannot come to me unless you join us. These are in an even worse state than them, splitting Islam, these people who supposedly will make people hear the truth. Just look at you! Just look at you! Who are they? So-called sheikhs inherited from their fathers.

Inherited from his father. If his tongue can manage a word or two, he has made people follow him. Even though they hear the truth — when people hear the truth and tell them about it, they are the people who block their way.

People who do not send to one another.

Why don't they send? Because what one has heard, the other will not be able to answer — that's why. Then his smallness will come out, his lowliness will come out — that's why. What will happen then? Claiming to be Muslims, they will tear Islam apart like this. They will split Islamic unity apart. Haven't they split it? Haven't we split apart?

I am calling out to those at the head of the tariqas. Not to all of them. I call to those who are unaware of themselves.

You need education. Education. Do not drive people away from each other. Muslims are brothers. A brother visiting a brother is always obligatory. Obligatory, obligatory. Not even sunnah — obligatory. Why? Because they are brothers in Islam. There is sıla-i rahim. Visit one another; that is, if you have no one left alive, visit your dead, visit your graves. So how is it that to the Nurcu about the Süleymancı, to the Süleymancı about the Fetullahçı, to the Fetullahçı about the Kaplancı — don't go to them, have nothing to do with them — you say? And you see one another as enemies. Even if you don't, you create division in religion.

What difference is there between you and Surah Ar-Rum, verse 32?

Turn to Allah. Bind people firmly to one another. Proclaim Islam as brotherhood.

Tomorrow, tomorrow at the Day of Judgment you will give account in Allah's presence.

Do not separate people. Do not split your religion into sects and divide it. Tariqa means a path that leads to Allah. On that path, splitting up that path, you cannot say: I'll go this way, he'll go that way, he cannot come onto my path, this one cannot come there. If you say so, tomorrow you will be in trouble in Allah's presence. Does tariqa mean separating from one another? If you had said this, you too would have united.

You would have united your children. You would have strengthened Islam. You would have kept up your unity and togetherness. Because this is Allah's command. Islam will maintain its unity and togetherness. Allah's command. You — this command — either (?) me, or me: I'm a Muslim, I will lead to Allah — and turn your back on Allah's command, then with an ocean of shirk, at their head, steer children with superstitions. What a fine state of affairs. What a fine state of affairs. yes, may Allah reform you; if I am wrong, may Allah reform me.

people unaware of themselves, people unaware of the verses. Allah — if He wills, He brings another people in your place, and you cannot do those peoples any harm. For my Lord knows and watches over all things. He knows those who will come until the Day of Judgment and holds everything under His rule. Yes.

Allah is the one who feeds His creations, gives them drink, watches over them, merciful and abundant in forgiveness. Allah is the Generous. And those you worship are servants in need of Him. Here He addresses the idolaters. What about the sheikhs at the head of the tariqas who are unaware of themselves, who split Islam apart and make it into sects — which class do they fall into?

And those you worship, too, are servants in need of Him. No one can oppose His command. O my people! If you turn your faces away from Allah, I fear from the heart a painful punishment that will come upon you, he says, and warns his people. Yes.
