We have now come to Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 36. They said: Detain him and his brother, and send officials to the cities to gather. To the cities, to the cities, send officials to gather. What will they gather? They will gather the sorcerers. The sorcerers in the cities. When Pharaoh, left (?) before the miracles brought by Moses (peace be upon him), in his helplessness, said to those close around him: What do you command now?, those around him in turn: You detain Moses and his brother, do not let them go anywhere; meanwhile send word to all the cities: however many learned sorcerers there are, have them gathered and brought to us, let us match them up, they say.

People need entertainment anyway. In this way, instead of understanding and knowing the truth, they lived for the day, imagining amusement, and in this way they wanted to have a contest prepared. A contest. The unbeliever's whole business is amusing himself. Holding contests. Chirping away like the grasshopper, and then being in need of the ant. Yes.
