When the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh, “There is surely a reward for us if we are victorious, right?”
Tafsir
When Allah (swt) repeatedly narrates these events from different aspects and recites His Verses with different meanings and tells us what these people were talking about, He shows people only one thing: that there is nothing hidden or concealed for Allah (swt), that there is nothing hidden or concealed for Allah (swt), that there is no God other than Allah (swt), that His Essence is Hay (alive, eternal and everlasting, not in need of any creature). Or people's minds do not understand one kind of event, but when it is explained in different ways, people's minds understand what is explained in another way. In this respect, since Allahu ta'âlâ is also free from imperfect attributes, even if the events seem to be repeated, since the conversations and the setting are described in separate scenes, when the events are summed up, it is better understood what these people went through from beginning to end.
Also, if he were to tell the events at once and explain them from the beginning to the end, maybe people would get bored or forget about them. They may not be able to fully immerse themselves in these subjects because they know these places. In this respect, he has spread the events in the Holy Qur'an, and when the time comes, he explains them in parts, giving examples for people to better understand other matters.
Here, too, the magicians come to Pharaoh and ask for worldly wealth if they prevail. Pharaoh, too, seeks to strengthen his claim to godhood by seeking help from these magicians. How ridiculous Pharaoh or people like him were when they proclaimed themselves to be gods. Allah (swt) reveals the Truth to the people by bringing various examples in His Verses.
What is said in the video
In verse 41 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara too, when the sorcerers came, to Pharaoh: "If we prevail, there is surely a reward for us, isn't there?" they said. That Allah Almighty tells these events many times from different angles, and mentions His verses with different meanings, by relating to us what these people said, shows people one single thing. That is, that His essence is Hayy, living, eternal without beginning and end, everlasting, needing no created being; that for Allah there is nothing hidden or concealed, that there is no god besides Him; by treating events from their various angles and telling them, it may be that people at some point wake up.
Or people's minds do not grasp one kind of event, but when it is told from different angles, people's minds (?) grasp what is told from another angle. Therefore, since Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes, although the events seem to be repeated, when the conversations and the setting are told as separate topics and the events are gathered, what these people went through from start to finish is better understood.
Also, if He told the events in one surah and told the subject from start to finish, perhaps people would get bored or could forget those subjects. Thinking "we know these", they might not fully devote themselves to these subjects. Therefore He has spread the events throughout the Holy Quran, and when the time comes, so that other subjects are better understood by people through parables, they are told part by part, with examples given.
Here, in something our son Ömer sent us, the man puts it so nicely; well, let's see what he says here now, what the person says.
This book, the Quran, has an interesting style, he says. The Quran. A professor is writing this now. It has an interesting style. First it makes you ask questions and then it gives answers. And after that it makes you ask more questions. It virtually draws a person into a dialogue. I was asking questions and 2-3 verses later I would come across the answers, he says. Well, in this case, the mathematics professor who became Muslim, Jeffrey Lang, when he reads the Quran and in this way meets questions and gets their answers too, becomes Muslim.
Surah Ash-Shu'ara isn't finished, I suppose. Here too, the sorcerers come to Pharaoh and want to squeeze out worldly gain if they prevail. And Pharaoh, hoping for help from these sorcerers, wants to strengthen his claim to divinity. By Pharaoh or people like him declaring themselves god, how ridiculous a position they fall into is plain to see. So Allah Almighty, bringing various examples in His verses, sets out the truth to people.
