“Because we are the first believers, we hope that Our Lord will forgive our mistakes.”

Tafsir

Surely Allah is the Owner of great mercy. If people regret their mistakes and repent, they will find Allah (swt) to be very forgiving and merciful. The magicians realized that their magic was not good and when they saw the Truth, they sought refuge in the great mercy of Allah (swt) and said, "We hope that our Lord will forgive us because we were the first to believe.

The magicians were the first to believe in the Prophethood of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and Hazrat Harun 'alaihis-salâm' in front of Pharaoh and the people, with the strength of faith, and they recklessly said to Pharaoh, "We are the first to believe in the Lord of the Worlds".

Those who seek refuge in Allah, who turn back from the marshy, dark and perverse paths, who are on repentance, who promise that they will not deviate from the path that Allah has shown them and fill their lives with repentance, Allah will forgive the sins of such people by converting their sins into rewards.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 51 Because we are the first to believe, we hope that our Lord will forgive our faults, it says. How beautifully it is put. The first to believe. In Aaron, in Moses, and among the people of that time, the first to believe. In Allah Almighty. With the Prophet, among the first to believe, for us, is Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He was raised by the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself, with his own hands. Then the noble Companions after him, and Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali. Of course, even before Umar believed, many Muslims believed in the Prophet and pledged allegiance to him.

They affirmed that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. And what do the sorcerers say? Because we are the first to believe, we hope our Lord will forgive our faults. Yes.

Surely Allah Almighty is the Possessor of vast mercy. If people regret the faults they have committed and repent, they will find Allah Almighty most forgiving and merciful. The sorcerers too understood that the sorcery they practised was not a good thing, and when they saw the truth, taking refuge in the vast mercy of Allah Almighty, they said: Because we are the first to believe, we hope our Lord will forgive us. Now, in fact, these are people who believed at the address "Elest-i bi Rabbiküm". Just like Moses in Pharaoh's palace, Pharaoh feeding his own enemy with his own hand, these too, having them do sorcery, (?) their things, doing sorcery according to their characters, and in the end, when they met Moses, seeing the truth, their having believed in Allah Almighty earlier, in the hereafter: it becomes the proof of their return to that origin.

There, through the sorcerers, He made all the people there affirm the truth. Yes. This is the divine manifestation of Allah Almighty. How beautiful. When they drove the Prophet (peace be upon him) out of blessed Mecca too, they had written notices on the walls: no daughters to be taken in marriage, no trading, no daughters to be given, and so on; there were (?) orders. After it had gone on like this for a while, two among them who had become Muslim and were seen as one of them. I don't remember their names right now. They say to each other: You stand on one side, and I'll stand on the other side.

When it comes to talking, in the matter let us support each other. If there is someone to support, let us take his side. The two of them are not together. Meanwhile, part of the writings had been erased. Because they had been erased, when one, addressing the people there in the assembly, said that this was an injustice, that those people were their own, that the writings had been erased anyway, and that in this case, for the sake of beliefs, we are wronging our own relatives and people from among us, so let us give this up, the other one says yes, he says, you're right. from this side, in this case, a supporter.

The sorcerers too, like this, are supporters of Aaron and Moses. yes the sorcerers: in the prophethood of Moses and Aaron, in front of Pharaoh and the nation, with the strength of faith, fearlessly defying Pharaoh, in the Lord of the worlds — since the first to believe were these sorcerers, they said it this way: "we are the first to believe", they said. The first to believe in this world. In fact, the first to believe in the hereafter are the prophets. Allah Almighty also says: I too am among the witnesses with you. Yes. That is why the prophets say: We are the (?) of Islam.

Allah Almighty: those who take refuge in Him, those who turn back from swampy, dark, deviant ways, those who persist in repentance, who, promising never again to leave the path Allah has shown, spend their lives in repentance, Allah Almighty turns the sins of such people into good deeds and grants them pardon and forgiveness. This last sentence I said corresponds to this hadith. Even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, when you, with an intense heart, repent, Allah Almighty changes your sins into good deeds, it says.
