At-Tawbah 28: Oh you believers! Idolaters are nothing but filth. Thus, after these years of theirs, they shall not approach Masjid al-Haram. If you fear poverty, (know that) Allah will make rich by Allah’s grace. Verily, Allah is Aleem (All-knowing) and Hakeem (Ultimately-Wise).

Surah At-Tawbah, verse 28: we are coming to this verse. O you who believe! The polytheists are nothing but filth. Of course, they are filth itself. Filth itself. A person may get smeared with impurity. He has become dirty. When he washes, it goes away. The smell of that impurity also goes away when he washes. But if these people have intercourse and do not take the full ablution, then since the filth that would be washed off does not leave him, he is filth itself. Filth. Moreover, in his way of thinking he is filth itself. Because he does not recognize Allah, who created him, as God. He recognizes the Lord in his imagination as god, and toward the Lord who created him he is ungrateful.

Of course, in thought too he is filth itself. That is why it says: they are nothing but filth. After this year of theirs, let them not approach the Masjid al-Haram. Let the clean come there. If you fear poverty, know that Allah, if He wills, will out of His bounty make you rich. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Allah Almighty, addressing those who believe, says: the polytheists are nothing but filth, He declares. Their filth: considering lawful the things Allah Almighty has made forbidden and eating them. Considering lawful what He has forbidden and eating it. These forbidden animals they eat affect the human body adversely and, on human bodies, lead to the breeding of various germs. This is another aspect of theirs, with its scientific aspects. Yes. The bodies of these polytheists, by eating the things Allah has deemed forbidden, become filthy. The meaning of becoming filthy here: in the face of the forbidden foods the body has taken, within these things, the bacteria that do not suit the human body weaken the human body and turn it into a producer of every kind of disease.

And Allah Almighty makes this verse of His manifest upon us. For the way you used the bodies I gave you, I will call you to account, He says. As I see it, look, a human is two. A soul and a body. Bodies will taste death. There is no death for souls. You know, it says every soul will taste death. So what does it say? For the way you used the bodies I gave you, I will call you to account, He says. So these bodies are entrusted to us. If we betray the trust, surely one day we will give account in the divine presence.

Yes.

For this reason the source of all diseases spreads into the world through the germs these people produce. For this reason they are filth. Also, when they have intercourse, because of excessive electrification in the human body, the human body is affected and the cells become unable to function. Just as, let's say, when 10 amperes of electricity pass through an electric cable, if the cable can bear it, it performs its normal function. If a current above 10 amperes passes through the same cable, the cable heats up, oxidizes in a short time and can no longer function fully. Just like this, in the human body too, after intercourse a stress and ignition occur. When people wash, through contact with water, the static electricity in the human body is discharged into the ground, and it finds relief.

The body's cells return to their normal function. Even if these people wash, with intention; their intentions; deeds depend on intention; since they do not intend it, their janabah does not leave them, and they remain filthy. They remain filth together with their filth. In fact, many of them even go about without washing. That is also why they smell foul. To mask their smell they produce perfume. And by palming that perfume off on poor Muslims, they also obtain a source of income from them. Whereas a Muslim has no need of perfume. A Muslim smells sweet when he washes. He smells sweet. Because after intercourse he does not go about in janabah.

He washes. He is spotless.

Yes. Only people who do not wash and who swim in their filth, such people smell like filth. Also, people, once a week, as Allah Almighty's right over a person, will wash. Once a week. So however much he sweats, however much that person smells, if he washes once a week, their smell goes away, it seems. He becomes fresh. So that the body He created can serve you, at least once a week you will wash. You are single. Or you are away from home. You live alone like this. Or you are a runner, an athlete, this or that. If you wash at least once a week, you smell clean. But if you have intercourse and, without washing, go about, you smell like carrion.

So they (?) perfumes to get rid of these smells. And people buy them, saying how nice, that perfume smells good. They both provide the disbeliever with income and harm the world. Along with tearing the ozone layer: "you will destroy it with your own hands", Allah Almighty says of this Doomsday. And it helps bring about the Day of Judgment. And by backing, by turning their backs on Allah's command, they earn the greatest sin.

Yes, so Allah, for every kind of peace and comfort of people, has laid down His laws. But people, out of their pride and grandeur, have turned their backs on Allah's laws. Allah, warning the believers about such people who turn their backs on Allah's laws, saying "keep away from them, do not let them approach the Masjid al-Haram": so that, during the hajj season or during umrah, to the clean people coming from every part of the world these people do not transmit diseases, and these diseases do not spread across the world, He decrees. Yes, they transmit diseases to them. For the source of all diseases comes from them.

Moreover, Allah loves cleanliness, cleansings, those who are clean. Only the clean, those who obey Allah, who submit to Him, approach the house of Allah.

If you fear poverty and, for the commerce of such polytheists, the trade they would do and the worldly blessings you would earn, you feel greed, know that Allah will make you rich from His bounty. That is: we are poor, we have no source of income; if these people do not come here and trade, if we cannot sell our (?) goods, we cannot earn money, we will go hungry; if (?) appears in you, Allah is the guarantor of the provision of what He created; we support you from places you do not know, He says. Today, because of hajj and umrah, millions of people go in and out of Mecca and Medina, and by trading they provide income to this, to the people of this place.

This is Allah's generosity to them from His own bounty. Because the people who come here come for Allah and His Messenger. The people who come here to visit for them, the income they provide to Mecca and Medina, is a favour of Allah to these people. What does it say? When you come for hajj, the trading you do there is permissible. That is, it is halal. You may trade, it says. So our Lord leaving this trade free means He provides those people a (?) source. So according to this verse too, non-Muslims cannot enter Mecca and Medina. Because Allah is All-Wise. He knows best what He says and why He says it.
