Translation

With those who were given a Book but don’t believe in Allah and the hereafter, who do not take as forbidden that which Allah and Allah’s Messenger have forbidden, and who do not take as religion the true religion, fight until they pay Jizyah with their own hands in humility.

Tafsir

Allah, who sent Prophets and Books to people before the Islamic religion, gathered all religions in the Islamic religion. By uniting the three Books, the Psalms, the Torah and the Gospel, with the Qur'an and by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who was the Khatemen Prophet, He united all the Books and religions under one religion and one Book. Fight those who oppose the commands of Allah, who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, who do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and who do not adopt the religion of truth as their religion, until they become small, that is, until their pride and greatness and egoism are broken. And if they still do not become Muslims, take from them the jizya, that is, bind them to a tax. This is the punishment of those who are not Muslims, who oppose Allah and His Messenger, who take advantage of Allah's creation, who eat and drink and enjoy themselves, who do not recognize Allah.

Today, Islam has replaced the light of faith in the heart of Islam with the desires of the nafs, has turned away from the command of Allah, and lives in pleasure and enjoyment. The Kuffar, on the other hand, have reached the highest level of technology and weaponry. They have reversed the justice and righteousness that Islam would enforce on the kuffar, and with the force of arms in their hands, they have become oppressors of people, which is outside the command of Allah. Whoever follows the path shown by the Ayat of Allah, even if he does not believe in Allah and the Last Day, will be rewarded for his deeds in this world, but if they still do not believe in Allah and His Messenger in the face of such clear miracles, all their good deeds in this world will be in vain. The kuffar worked and rose, and today they are either committing genocide or massacres, or they are forcing them to live in primitive life or using them as colonies by giving economic crisis to that country through embargo.

O you who believe! Heed the Verses of Allah, do not turn away from Allah, do not abandon pleasure, do not be deceived by the temporal blessings of this world and do not betray a future generation entrusted to you. Work and rise and rule with Allah's justice on earth, so that you will prevent oppression and torture. Spread Allah's justice in the world so that the human world will come to life with Allah's justice, even if people do not want it. For Allah's mercy is for everyone in the universe. In the Hereafter, only the believer.

If you want to attain Allah's mercy in this world and the hereafter, listen to the word of Allah, follow Islam as the true religion, the Qur'an as the Book and the Prophet Muhammad as the guide.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah At-Tawbah, verse 29. Praise be to Allah. Those among the people given the Book who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, for example those given the Book in the Torah, in the Psalms, in the Gospel, who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, who do not consider it forbidden, and the true religion who do not take as their religion: fight them until, humbled, they pay the jizya with their own hands, He says, when they come against you. That true religion: in the Torah the true religion, in the Psalms the true religion, in the Gospel the true religion, then the religion that came last, that is what He says.

Those who do not consider forbidden what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden and who do not take the true religion as their religion. Give it to me.

The verse is very deep; let us come to this part opening it up a little. When He says true religion, as I said, the Torah is also a true religion. But the right of validity. The Psalms are also a true religion. It too has its right of validity. Well, the Gospel is also a true religion. It too has its right of validity. But not the verses within it. Not its true verses. Then, too, those who follow that true religion and its messenger. Then, too, those who follow that true religion and its messenger. Those who know as forbidden what He forbade, and those who do not believe what He forbade and do not consider the forbidden forbidden for themselves, well, they are separated anyway.

Then, when the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel were gathered in the Holy Quran, what happened? All are the true religion, all are prophets of the true religion, and all of them are prophets of that Torah, Psalms and Gospel too; well, all those who convey the truth, and those who turn their backs on those who convey it. Here. Finally, when the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), came, when he came, since past time was left behind, yet those past times are now included too. The verse. Those who obey them, those who believe. For Allah Almighty addresses the past, the future and time.

In this case, the validity of time: since the religion of Islam, the Holy Quran, will keep its validity until the Day of Judgment, we will now speak not about those of the past but about those of the present. Because the past is gone now. They: those who believe, those who do not. Allah's religion is clear anyway. Now, though it is clear until the Day of Judgment, our Lord, through those of the past too, addresses our time and the future. He shows them as an example as well. those who obey the true religion, yes; from those given the Book, He says. It includes them all. Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, who do not consider forbidden what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and who do not take the true religion as their religion: fight them until, humbled, they pay the jizya with their hands, He says.

Until they pay the jizya with their hands.

Allah, who before the religion of Islam sent people prophets and books, gathering all religions in the religion of Islam, uniting the three books, the Psalms, the Torah and the Gospel, with the Quran, and in the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), gathering all books and religions under one book and one religion, made His command known to people; those who oppose Allah's commands, thus those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, who do not consider forbidden what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and who do not take the true religion as their religion: fight them until these people are humbled, that is, until they know their own helplessness, or until they realize their wrongdoing, that is, until their pride and arrogance, their egos, are broken: fight.

If even then they do not become Muslims, take jizya from them, that is, bind them to a tax. Those who are not Muslim and oppose Allah and His Messenger, who from what Allah has created benefit, eat, drink and live in pleasure but do not acknowledge Allah: this is their punishment. Allah Almighty offers you every blessing, and toward what Allah has given you are ungrateful. And what our Lord has granted us, against so many of His blessings, you eat and drink in pleasure and turn your back on Allah. And while you are in the world, Allah Almighty, through those believers, though He wants to strike you on the head like a sledgehammer and make you hear the truth, if you still, with your nafs, deifying your nafs, the path of Satan, the path of the taghut (?) for yourself, if you continue on that path, then spread truth and justice on earth.

according to the verse, you deserve this beating. It means you deserve to pay this ransom, to pay tax. Yes. Today Islam has drifted from Allah's command, fallen into its pleasures, and put the desires of the nafs in its heart in place of the light of faith. The unbelievers, however, have worked and reached the peak in technology and weapons. The justice and truth that Islam was to apply over the unbelievers, the unbelievers have turned around, and with the power of their weapons, outside Allah's command, they have come to inflict oppression on people. Yes.

You, on the earth, develop the earth. Work hard, says Allah Almighty. In His verse. Develop the earth, work hard. So that, He says, your enemies may fear you, and you may prosper. Or, He says, they may envy you and become Muslims. So according to this verse the unbeliever worked hard, made his weapons, superior (?), they put the Muslims to sleep.

They put the Muslims to sleep. Among them false hodjas they placed. They were non-Muslims, and they acted as hodjas among the Muslims. And with superstitions they made people live an age of ignorance. There are still people of the same mentality. Yes.

There are still people of the same mentality.

If he saw an alif, he would take it for a beam. There are those who, seeing themselves very high up with those superstitions, against the truth defend falsehood. Shame on them. People still inside games, swallowing those games. And the non-Muslim has turned Allah Almighty's command upside down. Instead of the Muslim establishing dominion over the non-Muslim, the non-Muslim has established dominion over Islam. Yes.

Whoever goes on the path shown by Allah's verses, even if he does not believe in Allah and the Last Day, gets the reward for what he does. He gets the reward for what he did. Allah is just. As Onur said above, what does he say? Christians, so who are they? Hodja, there are people who are Christian and live better than Muslims, he says. Yes. Allah Almighty is just. On earth He will give everyone the reward for what they did. But when they go as non-Muslims, as I said just now, all the good deeds they have done are wasted.

However, if in the face of such clear miracles he still does not believe in Allah and His Messenger, all the good deeds they did in the world, even if good, are all wasted. Here we are also saying what Umud said, the question Umud wrote, anyway. So the unbelievers worked and rose. Today they either commit genocide or massacres, or with embargoes cause an economic crisis in that country and force them to (?), or use them like a colony. Colony.

We call them colonies; and to Allah, until they pay the jizya, He says. They are thus judged by Allah's verses, but if one does not acknowledge Allah, Allah Almighty gives them the reward for what they did on earth. Because He is just, but in the end all good deeds are wasted.

O you who believe! Listen to Allah's verses. Do not drift from Allah, give up pleasure-seeking, do not be deceived by the passing blessing of the world and betray a future generation entrusted to you, that is, do not betray your children, and do not betray that religion, Islam; do not squander it and hand a superstition to the next generation; hand over the truth. Work and rise, rule on earth with Allah's justice so that you prevent oppression and torture. Spread Allah's justice on earth so that, even if people do not want it, the world of humanity may live by Allah's justice. Because Allah's mercy in the universe is for everyone.

In the hereafter it is for the believer only. If you want to attain Allah's mercy in this world and the hereafter, listen to Allah's word. Take Islam as religion, the Quran as book, and as prophet the master of both worlds, Muhammad, as your guide. Yes.

Some words are hard-to-understand words of truth. Hard-to-understand words of truth.

These, truly, for people to understand, such words, for people to understand, are hard.

A person must speak in a way the person opposite him will understand. The Prophet also says so: speak in a way people will understand. But in some places, some words, when they need to be spoken, words whose meaning is truly hard and that are spoken as if they lead a person to kufr, if only they knew that they are actually the main foundational rule of Islam. Like what, you will say, Hodja? Like what? Look now. We are all Muslims. No one compromises on Islam. Allah forbid.

While living in this world, only worshipping, only being a Muslim is not enough.

Now this is a hard-to-understand word. It seems to push a person out of Islam.

Yes. Only saying the testimony of faith and only dealing with religion, worshipping, is not enough for a person. This goes against the rule of this life. Besides this, a person will work for the world. Besides this, he will develop his world. For Allah Almighty says so in His verse. Develop your world, He says. Develop.

Since someone has come to the verses, I am saying this. He sends us a message on Facebook or on the site. A child of ours called Mehmet Akif. Him, everyone, we see as our children. Until death; after death, how it goes, Allah knows. He says, hey you, he says, do you want to become famous by commemorating Atatürk? he says. Like (?), like a hypocrite, he says. To us.

As for Atatürk, he said this, he preached irreligion, he says. There, to so-and-so.

They could not grasp the words he spoke. He actually said the very word I am saying.

Worship alone is not enough. With worship alone you cannot get anywhere. Others will establish despotism over you. They won't even let you do your worship. If we were to reach Allah through worship alone, Allah Almighty would (?) us from eating and drinking, would remove our working. Come on, you will worship only Me, He would say. (?) would be clear. Then worship would be done. Through worship we would find the truth. But we will work, eat, sustain our bodies; when taking, reward and sin we will watch; we will teach our children the truth. In this case, look, there are many matters; although Allah Almighty says you will worship only Me, He does not say you will worship all your life; develop your world, He says, approach as is due, He says, approach the world too as is due. Now in this case, and if what Atatürk said, worship alone is not enough for you, if he said that, then the people who will understand that word, who will grasp that word, are truly very few. That is, if you give yourself to worship and abandon worldly work, other states around you work, just like the verse we just mentioned, they make their weapons and exploit you like a colony.

Whereas in the verse you take jizya, you pay them jizya, you pay ransom. And you end up with genocide, and you compromise your religion too. Atatürk saw these things, he laid these out. But since there was not the capacity and the people to understand those words of his, they turned them toward error. I am not saying this to defend Atatürk. I live the same words too. Yes, I say the same words too.

Worship alone will not save us. Although we will worship Allah, while fulfilling our duty, our duty of servanthood, on the other hand we also have responsibilities. Looking after our children entrusted to us, raising them in the best way; how will we do this? How will we do this? To leave our children a fine (?) homeland, to leave it standing on firm feet, how will we do this?

Will we do it only by worshipping? Yes. If we could succeed at this with worship alone, Allah Almighty would, from eating and drinking, (?) the world, any of our needs, well, not show us, would remove them all and say you will worship only Me, and then we would only worship. But there are various duties. Various matters. We have duties toward various people. We have duties toward our state, our nation, our homeland.

How will we do this? Yes. That is why, as I said, there are such hard words that people cannot possibly understand them. And it pushes people out of Islam. With those small minds of theirs. These people who do not even know the main rule of Islam, blindly, utterly ignorant, their people who are scholars within a certain capacity, their enlightened people, they thus exclude. Yes.

Our hearts burn, but our nation, at its root, was raised on falsehoods. They laid that foundation. They established a law in theology. If you step outside this status, you cannot become a professor. Yes. Now those statuses must be torn down. Because the non-Muslim had taken over everywhere.

Within democracy we were the puppet of democracy. Within democracy. The state's parliament was a parliament for show. You are all seeing this right now.

Yes, there is a need for new laws. There is a need to keep up with the age. There is a need to protect our state, our nation and our homeland. Allah Almighty, in His Holy Quran, here, in this Holy Quran, here, has written and laid it all out. He does not say worship only Me. We have duties. We will grasp our duties. We will not go outside our duties. And those duties are the root of Islam. So, for us to be strong, so that we do not become prey to those around us, so that we can keep the religion of Islam alive until the Day of Judgment, there is a need for enlightened classes, for enlightened people; people who can walk into the future with sure steps and make good preparation for the future are needed.

Otherwise, say Allah, lie down and get up, then become the captive of the other. Yes, we will say Allah, of course, Allah created us. Our Lord created us. But Allah Almighty gave you a body. And showed you the unbelievers, the non-Muslims. He showed you the ways so you would not incur his wrath. Then we will work. Like Fatih. Like the venerable Fatih. A non-Muslim comes. He wants to see the sultan. Where is your sultan? he says. They point to the one working with his hands. How can this be a sultan? he says. Our sultans are on the throne, he says. They sit on the throne. Yet he is working among his soldiers.

Yes. We were the grandchildren of such a nation. But we were deceived.

They placed false hodjas, slipped them in among us.

Don't do that, it's haram; don't do this, it's haram. Don't do that, it's a sin; don't do this, it's a sin. Our people were raised this way. So there are some words, very hard-to-understand words. These hard-to-understand words are actually the truth of the matter. But how does this mentality disappear, and how do we entrust the truth to people again? How do we entrust it? It is within the responsibility of those at the top. They will see the truth. They will see that the laws made are deficient. They will break the games played on the religion of Islam and the Christian domination built over the religion of Islam. They will do this on condition of fearing no one but Allah.

They will do it by fearing no one but Allah. Not by what this one or that one says. Not by the way, well, this one or that one shows. They will set the main rules and foundations of the religion of Islam into theology. And they will raise a new generation. A new generation. Yes. They will not shy away from anything in this. They will do it for Allah alone. These laws will change. As long as these do not change, these words that are very hard to say will seem to people as if they push them out of the religion of Islam. But people living with these will, when the time comes, say this man was right.

Yes.

That is why we, so that we see the truth, for new generations, people whose minds work, people who can make comparisons, capable people, impartial people, people who only with their conscience hold themselves accountable between Allah and themselves and can grasp the truth, who can (?): such people we need. So that we can make Islam live again. Otherwise we cannot save from falsehoods, we cannot save from superstitions.
