Translation

If you don’t help him (the Messenger), (it is not relevant since) Allah has helped him. When the infidels drove him away (from Makkah) as one of two people (with Abu Bakr), and when they were in the cave, he said to his friend “do not be saddened, for Allah is with us.” Upon this, Allah sent down Allah’s assurance (giving him tranquility). Allah supported him with an unseen army and humiliated the word of the infidels. Indeed, Allah’s Word is exalted. And Allah is Azeez (Exalted) and Hakeem (Ultimately-Wise).

Tafsir

If the believers do not help the Messenger of Allah, it is not important. Why does Allah say here that it is not important if you do not help the Messenger of Allah? Allah says that He is not incapable of protecting His Messenger and that those who help him are helping their own interests. Allah has already helped His Messenger. The polytheists of Makkah were worried about the spread of Islam, and those who turned away from the idols they worshipped in Islam turned away from falsehood because they understood the truth. As more and more people pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, these polytheists wanted to remove the Prophet (SAW) and return people to their false idols. In this regard, they tried to kill the Prophet (pbuh). Allah informed His Messenger of this situation and ordered him to migrate. So the Prophet (PBUH) put Hazrat Ali radiyallahu anh on his bed and he and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq went towards Taif to confuse the polytheists and took refuge in the cave of Sevr. Although the polytheists, who were following their trail, reached the cave of Sevr, the fact that a dove immediately made a nest in the cave of Sevr and a spider immediately covered the entrance of the cave made the polytheists think that there was no trace of a human being here, and the polytheists went back. In this situation, Hazrat Abu Bakr was worried that they would be caught in the cave without thinking of themselves, fearing that they would do some harm to the Prophet, so the Prophet (PBUH) calmed Hazrat Abu Bakr and said, "Do not worry because Allah is with us".

Thereupon Allah sent down upon Abu Bakr Siddiq His safety, which gave him peace, and Allah supported them with armies that we have not seen.

In this case, the words of those who disbelieve have become low. Indeed, the words of the disbelievers are low compared to the truth because they are falsehood.

Allah's word is already Exalted. Because Allah is exempt from imperfect attributes. If there had been a mistake in Allah (swt) who programmed all these worlds, they would have disappeared long ago. Allah has created everything completely and His every word is full of wisdom. In this respect, the word of Allah, who created all these worlds, who knows what will happen in every particle of the worlds, who programs His creations accordingly, and who informs people of these programs chapter by chapter with verses, is very sublime. In this respect, with the verse (Who is as faithful to His word as Allah), Allah declares that Allah does not speak incompletely in any way, but the fact that humans do not know the unseen due to their incomplete creation, and that humans can only speak in estimation, cannot be compared to the word of Allah, by saying that Allah's word is already very great.

(For Allah is superior, the Wise.) Yes, Allah is superior. Because Allah, besides Himself there is no other God, created all these created beings and worlds. And He has brought His creations under His sovereignty. In His omnipotence over them, no being in the created worlds can be equated with Allah, nor can they be compared to Allah. In this respect, Allah is superior to everything.

Allah is the owner of wisdom, and Allah knows the reasons for the creation of beings that we do not know and cannot understand, and what wisdom there is in the good and evil that occurs over time. And as much as He has revealed, people know.

What is said in the video

Of Surah At-Tawbah, we have come to verse 40.

If you do not help him, this is not important. Allah has helped him. Who is this "him"? The Messenger of Allah, the master of the two worlds; if you do not help him. Allah has helped him. That is, He Himself raised him. He Himself created him. He Himself brought him up. He Himself sent him as a mercy to the worlds. He forgave him even his future sins. In Allah's sight, he is a person helped by Allah. So whoever helps such a person, such a Messenger, such a prophet, Allah helps him too. Yes. Remember when the unbelievers, as one of two, that is with Abu Bakr, from Mecca had driven him out. One of the two being Abu Bakr at his side; when he emigrated to Medina, his hiding in the cave of Thawr.

The unbelievers, those idolaters, coming as far as the cave of Thawr. The Prophet moves in the opposite direction of Medina. He was a military man, you know. Yes. He knows he will fall into (?). He goes the opposite way. Towards Taif. But that tracker, who could find the trace of a flying bird, follows their tracks. They say to the tracker: Medina is not that way, which way are you going? The tracker answers: I am not the one leaving the tracks, they are, he says. They come right up to the mouth of the cave. Right up to the mouth of the cave. But our Lord had the cave woven over with a spider's web.

And a dove had made a nest at the entrance of the cave. It is sitting on the egg.

The polytheist shouts from outside: O Muhammad, come out! But on the other hand, on the other hand, it is not possible that he is here, he says. If they had gone inside, he says, this spider could not have made this web in such a short time, they say. And the dove would not stay here, he says. And while they are there, having come right up close to them, they turn back. So Allah has helped him. Allah has helped in every respect. If you do not help him, this is not important, He says. Allah has helped him. Remember when the unbelievers had driven him out of Mecca as one of two, with Abu Bakr. When they were in the cave, he was saying to his companion: do not grieve, for Allah is with us.

Why was he saying it? Abu Bakr grows anxious. O Messenger of Allah, for myself, he says; I am afraid they will do you some harm, he says.

The Prophet answers. Do not grieve at all. O Abu Bakr, our Lord is with us, he says. And in one narration, in one narration, look, he says, do you see this? In the cave he looks and sees a boat beside a stream. If something happens to us, he says, that is, if they come in here, we will go along this stream with this boat, he says. A river is flowing, the (?) stream is ready there. Allah Almighty will of course make a place for them. Within time, within (?) time, He creates (?). Yes.

Thereupon Allah sent down upon him His security that brings tranquility.

He supported him with an army you did not see.

And He brought low the word of those who disbelieved.

The word of Allah, though, is supreme anyway.

For Allah is Mighty, Possessor of wisdom. Yes. For a person not to be moved by these events is impossible.

If the believers do not help the Messenger of Allah, this is not important. Why? Here Allah says: if you do not help Allah's Messenger, this is not important. He declares that He is not incapable of protecting His Messenger, and that those who help him are helping their own interest. Also, in one situation, He reminds of this, Allah Almighty: We made a covenant with you at the address "Elestü bi-Rabbiküm".

To everyone We gave their wish and desire, their intent, as destiny. We know what you will do. Whether you help or do not help. We have already programmed these worlds according to people's wishes and desires and the events they create, says Allah Almighty. Whether you help or not is of no importance at all for My Beloved. But if you help, you help your own selves.

And in a verse, what does Allah Almighty say? Help Allah's religion, He says.

Helping Allah's religion is also helping the Prophet. Because by keeping alive this religion that the Prophet entrusted to us, as his legacy to us, and by remembering the Prophet, mentioning him, sending salawat upon him, and also by remembering Allah Almighty, we are helping Allah's religion. Yes.

Allah declares that He is not incapable of protecting His messenger, and that those who help him are helping their own interest. Allah has helped His Messenger already. The polytheists of Mecca grew worried at the spread of Islam. Those who, becoming Muslims, moved away from the idols they worshipped, when they understood the truth, turned away from falsehood. As those pledging allegiance to the Messenger of Allah increased, these polytheists, by doing away with the Prophet (peace be upon him), to turn people back again to their false idols is what they wanted. That is why, to kill the Prophet (peace be upon him), they set out.

Allah, however, informed His Beloved of this situation and commanded him to emigrate. So the Prophet (peace be upon him), having Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) lie in his bed, he himself, with Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, going towards Taif to mislead the polytheists, in the cave of Thawr took refuge. Although the polytheists following their tracks came as far as the cave of Thawr, a dove at once making a nest in the cave of Thawr and a spider instantly covering the cave's entrance gave the polytheists the impression that there was no trace of a person here, and the polytheists went back.

So in this situation, since Abu Bakr, about being caught in the cave, not thinking of himself but for fear they would do some evil to the Prophet, was anxious, the Prophet (peace be upon him), calming Abu Bakr, said: do not be anxious. For Allah is with us, he said. Yes. Thereupon Allah Almighty sent down upon (?) His security that brings tranquility and Allah supported them with armies we did not see.

In this situation the words of the unbelievers were brought low; that is, saying "we will kill him," preparing an army and setting out, a mounted group, a cavalry group; the words of the enemy leaders, (?) of the foremost of the polytheists, He brought low. They could not kill a single person. Isn't this bringing their word low?

In this situation the words of the unbelievers were brought low. The words of the unbelievers are low anyway, since beside the truth they are falsehood. Yes.

And the word of Allah is supreme anyway. Because there is no deficiency in it. Allah is complete and perfect. Because Allah is free from deficient attributes. If there had been an error in Allah Almighty, who programs all these worlds, these worlds would long ago have become (?). They would have perished. Allah created everything without deficiency, and His every word is full of wisdom. Therefore the word of Allah, who created all these worlds, who knows what will happen in every atom of the worlds, who programmed His creatures accordingly, who with verses informs people of these programs section by section, is very supreme.

His informing people, without deficiency, of everything that will happen until the Day of Judgment is surely due to Allah Almighty's supremacy, to the supremacy of His word. Yes.

For Allah is Mighty, Possessor of wisdom. Yes, Allah is supreme, because all these created beings and worlds were created by Allah, besides whose Self there is no other god. Yes, and He has taken His creatures under His rule. Being powerful over them, among the created worlds no being is either equal to Allah or can be compared with Allah. Therefore Allah is above everything.

Allah Almighty is Possessor of wisdom. In the creation of beings we do not know or understand, and in the good and evil that occur over time, what wisdoms are there? Allah also knows their reasons. Only Allah knows. And people know as much as He has made known. Yes.

When we look at our site like this, in so much time, even though people hear it, no one wants to hear Allah's verses. Let's not say no one, but many people. We, if we had told superstitions on our site, if superstitions, in words read from people's nafs, we had offered, if false events back and forth we had lodged in your heads, in people's heads, if we had given room to dream interpretations, if we had told people lies and falsehoods about dreams, this site would fill up and overflow. One could not manage to gather in this site's people.

What does this show? It shows that in every era, around those who tell the truth, there are very few people.

In the Prophet's time too, a handful of people believed in him. Around all who told the truth too, there was a handful of people. Then, with their passing to the hereafter, those who understood that they, those people, told the truth as truth began to value them. They began to value their words. In this situation, people's nafs cannot bear to hear the word of truth. Except the lovers.

Except the friends of Allah. They listen with reverence where Allah's verses are mentioned.

And we are trying to complete our duty. We are trying to tell the truth. We will explain the verses. Not superstition. Even if no one listens to us, no one, every person: to show what kind of person one is in this world, we came to make ourselves, those around us and Allah Almighty witnesses to it. In this situation, even if no one listens to us, we will, in Allah's sight, under our Lord's witness, continue to explain. Yes.
