Go to fight, with light and heavy loads. Fight on the path of Allah with your belongings and your lives. If you know, this is better for you.
Tafsir
(When he says, "Go out to war, both lightly and heavily," he means the old and the young who can take up arms, those who participate in the war with their property and their lives, and those who fight with heavy weapons, on horseback or on foot.
Those who qualify and are able to fight are obliged to fight when their people are attacked by non-Muslims.
(This is better for you if you know.) If people believe in Allah and the Last Day, and if such an opportunity arises in front of them, and they prefer this world to the Hereafter, and if they fight in the way of Allah with their lives and property and become martyrs, they will have won the eternal and everlasting treasures of the Hereafter. One knows that all souls will taste death in their turn. His wealth and property, his children and well-being will be left behind. One day, those who are left behind will also taste death, suffering the same fate as him. He will have as little hope as a spider's web to cling to for eternity in this world. In this case, why should man not trust and rely on Allah, the eternal and everlasting One who created him, and not take precautions even though he is foretold of the calamities that will befall him in the future? (This is better for you if you know.) This is how he thinks. And if you believe in Allah and the Last Day and judge by the Verses of Allah, that is better for a soul that understands.
What is said in the video
We have come to the forty-first verse. Surah At-Tawbah, verse forty-one.
Go out to fight, whether light or heavy. Strive in Allah's way with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you, if you know. It is Allah who gives wealth, Allah who gives life, and Allah who created us. If we offer our wealth and our lives as a gift to our Lord, if we give them, our Lord too will grant us the hereafter's endless abode of bliss as a gift. Now, in a verse too, what does Allah Almighty say? Those who strive with their lives and their wealth. With their lives and their wealth. In this verse, the support of that verse. Whether light, whether light or heavy, go out to fight; with your wealth and your lives strive in Allah's way.
That is better for you, if you know.
The intent in saying "go out to fight, whether light or heavy" is the old and young who can hold a weapon, those who take part in the war with their wealth and lives, those who fight with heavy weapons, mounted or on foot; these are meant. Yes, for those who have these qualities and those who can fight, when their people are attacked by non-Muslims, for such people war becomes obligatory. The meaning in the verse where He says "if you know, this is better for you" is this: people believe in Allah and the Last Day. Such an opportunity comes before them and they prefer the hereafter to this world.
If they become martyrs fighting in Allah's way with their wealth and lives, they will have gained the eternal and endless treasures of the hereafter. So, if you know, that is, if you know the ranks in the hereafter I will give you, if you do not prefer the world for Me, but for My sake prefer the hereafter to the world and, to come to Me, sacrifice your lives and your wealth, in exchange for the world I created I will present to you, in the eternal abode of bliss, the highest Paradise, says Allah Almighty. Yes, a person knows that all souls, when their turn comes, will taste death. That is, when Allah's decree comes, they will taste death.
His wealth and property, his children and family will be left behind. One day those left behind too, like him, will meet the same end and taste death. To stay in the world forever, he will have not even a spider's web of hope left to hold on to.
In this situation, Allah, the pre-eternal and everlasting, who created him: why should a person not trust and rely on Him? If we take these sentences once more from the start, let us go through these parts, explaining them to you.
If they become martyrs fighting in Allah's way with their wealth and lives, they will have gained the eternal and endless treasures of the hereafter.
Muslims know in this world that a Muslim, as I said a moment ago, will die anyway. Property and possessions are Allah's. There is a proverb, you know: owner of property, owner of possessions, where is its first owner? Property is a lie, possessions are a lie. Here, have a little lie yourself, it says. Yes. In this situation everyone knows that to the hereafter, where they were first created, they will migrate and give account for what they did in the world. In this situation, yes.
Yes. In this situation they will have gained the eternal and endless treasure of the hereafter, we say. A person knows that all souls, when their turn comes, will taste death. What is their turn? The end of their life. Allah's decree will come to pass. That is, when their lives are complete, all people, all souls will taste death, and finally the verse "your return is to Me" will apply to them. Yes.
His wealth and property, the wealth and property he loves so much, his children and family will be left behind. Because we cannot take a single atom from this world to the hereafter. According to the verse where He says the inheritance of all the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah, the inheritance of the heavens, the earth and what is between them belongs to Allah. All souls will taste death. The inheritance of the heavens and the earth and what is between them will remain to Allah. Why? Because Allah created them. They are Allah's. Yes. We are only trustees over them. Having proven with the (?) deeds we have done what kind of person we are, at the end of our life our journey to the hereafter will begin.
And finally the wealth we earned in the world, and of course (?), all of it will stay in the world.
One day those left behind too, those left behind too, those left behind too; what are we saying? His wealth and property, his children and nephew will be left behind. One day those left behind too, meeting the same end as him, will taste death. That is, the person will die, right, and those behind too, like that person who died, like him, will meet the same end. Yes, to stay in the world forever, not even a spider's web's worth of hope to hold on to will remain for people. There is no one, you know, who has stayed forever in this world. If someone had stayed, we would say: we will stay too; we would say we'd stay, I mean.
So, as far as our Lord has informed us in this world with a verse, of houses, He says, the frailest is the spider's web, He says. So not even as much hope as this spider's web to hold on to in the world will remain for us.
In this situation, Allah, the pre-eternal and everlasting, who created him: why should a person not trust and rely on Him? So if all of this is temporary; if, to our Lord in the hereafter, in return for the covenant we gave, to prove what kind of person we are we came here, in this situation, while living in the world, while living our lives, why should we turn our backs on our Lord who created us, why should we not trust and rely on Him, why not put our reliance in Him, why not believe that Allah's word is true and prostrate and worship before Him? Our Lord who gives us so much sustenance: why should we fall short in thanking Him?
Although he has been told of the calamities that will befall him in the future, should he not take precautions, should a person not take precautions? That is, what are the calamities that will be given to him in the future? In his lifetime, in this world too, unannounced; what will happen is uncertain.
Granted, in this world they are temporary,
but in the hereafter, eternal. May Allah protect us. In this situation, from the terrible events that will befall him there, why should a person not hold back and turn to his Lord? Every person of reason must grasp this, and every person of reason, although knowing he has a creator: if, against that creator of his, a person resists and turns his back, if he shows (?) toward Him, that person does not use his reason, and truly, staying inside a circle of ignorance, with a spirit of denial, in his helplessness he wages war against Allah Almighty, and indeed against his own self he commits a great wrong; that person needs to know this.
Yes.
Although he has been told of the calamities that will befall him in the future, should he not take precautions? So: that is better for you, if you know. If you know these events. If you think in this way, believe in Allah and the Last Day, and take Allah's verses as your rule, this, for a soul that understands, is better.
