And some of them took an oath, saying “if Allah gives us from Allah’s grace, we will surely give alms and we will be among the good ones (salih people).”
Tafsir
When people who are hypocrites and disbelievers made a covenant with Allah in the early days (in Kalubala), those who rebel against Allah, who betray their Creator, who deny Allah, are liars at the root, and all those who are outside of Islam are liars.
Therefore, when they say that if Allah gives to me, I will give to people in charity, they are deceiving their own souls. They cannot deceive Allah. Because Allah, who writes the fate of people who do not know Allah and who write their own will as their destiny, knows very well their traits and what they will do. But Allah does not take the lives of any human being without revealing what is in his nature and without making him a witness to himself and to those around him. Each soul, according to its own nature, will bear witness to itself and its surroundings. No human being will have any questions to ask Allah.
We will surely give charity to Allah if He gives it to us and we will be among the righteous. In other words, they said that we will surely realize that Islam is the truth and we will become Muslims. Allah (swt) declares them to be liars in the following verse.
What is said in the video
Surah At-Tawbah, verse 75, the noble verse. Among them are some who: if Allah, of His grace and generosity, gives to us, we will surely give charity, and we will surely be among the righteous — swore by Allah, it says. Among them — whom? Some of the hypocrites, some of the polytheists. People outside the religion of Islam, in various ideologies.
People who are hypocrites and disbelievers, when in the first barzakh, at Kalu Bela, they made a covenant with Allah — as Allah Almighty says in His verse, so it says. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
We made a covenant with those who would come forth from the offspring of the children of Adam. And We said: We are your Lord, for certain. Where did He make the covenant?
In the realm of Lahut. When He created our spirits. Ve kuntum ezvâcen selâseh. Ve kuntum — all the pairs, three generations descended from one another. Fe eshâbü'l-meymeneti mâ eshâbü'l-meymeneh. O people of the right, glad tidings to you. Ve eshâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ eshâbü'l-meş'emeh. O people of the left, woe to you, I will say. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, ülâike'l-mukarrabûn, fî cennâti'n-naîm. A third group, the group of the foremost (sabikun). And there they were divided into three classes when your Lord spoke. With those divided into these three classes Allah Almighty made a covenant one by one.
He showed them the worlds with a project. Whichever world one desired, feelings, desires and wishes arose in man according to that world. Since our Lord knew those feelings, desires and wishes, He placed those characters in them. With those characters, their wish was written for them as destiny. That is, scripts were written there. And man comes to the world as an actor to play the script he had written. Allah Almighty — what did we say? So that people would not say: our Lord, here You created us like Your Self, we could not know You; had You sent us to a hidden world, a world where Your Self is not seen, see how we would have worshipped You — for this He created these worlds, and seeing His Self with these eyes is not possible either.
Because it is a hidden world. Grasping Him is not possible either, because it is a hidden world. But people, misunderstanding these points, end up attributing qualities to Allah Almighty. Supposedly they will exalt Him. Yet rather than exalting Him, by their own minds they have entered kufr, and they are not aware of it. In the verse: No eye can encompass and grasp Him. He encompasses and grasps all eyes, it says. The meaning here: no eye can say of Him: this is my Lord, this is Allah. It cannot encompass and grasp. It both knows and cannot grasp. But He encompasses, grasps and knows all beings.
That is why this is a hidden world. If we go into depth, we prove this. With a verse. That in our Lord's great world, it is seen by people with outward eyes yet not grasped by people — this we (?) with a verse. In which verse? That Night of Qadr.
Yes. İnnâ enzelnâhü fî leyleti'l-kadr. It was sent down, it says. On that Night of Qadr. About the Quran. And that night, it says, everything is safe until morning, it says. Safe. The Spirit and the angels descend for every matter, it says. Those poor people who take the Spirit to be Gabriel. The word of Allah Almighty rests upon the letters. He calls Gabriel Gabriel, and Michael Michael. Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel and Michael, it says, they are also enemies of Allah, it says. This too they have interpreted wrongly. Who? If one is an enemy to Gabriel and Michael, it says, Allah is their enemy, it says.
Allah is no one's enemy. Allah is no one's enemy.
You cannot ascribe attributes to Allah. They have interpreted the verses wrongly like this. In this case the Spirit is not Gabriel. The universal Spirit is Allah Almighty.
At Sidrat al-Muntaha, it says. That which covered it was covering it. Gabriel (peace be upon him) said: if I went one ant's length further I would burn — that Sidrat al-Muntaha (?). He revealed to His servant what He revealed, it says. Did Gabriel step outside time and space and, to the Prophet (peace be upon him), to his heart, reveal a verse?
Poor people. Debating on television what he says: this is true, but how can it be, he says. This is not a knowledge we know, he says.
You're aware of it, aren't you, Hodja? This man speaks the truth, but, he says, it is not a knowledge we know, he says. Yes. So a root is needed, a root — these must be raised anew. A new generation must be raised in Islam. The majesty of Allah and His Messenger, the zeal for Him, that He is to be feared — they have done away with it. That's why people walk around like this with their heads bare and their backsides bare. They say, praise be to Allah, I am Muslim, and walk around knowing nothing of being Muslim. They walk around knowing nothing of the verses. I tell a man the verses. How do I know you're quoting a verse, he says.
Unaware of the verse. And he follows a hodja at that. How do I know, I don't believe it, he says. Even though I tell him the verses. You may not believe — after all, he doesn't know the verse. Maybe if he reads it in the Quran he'll believe, of course.
People coming to this state is truly a heartbreaking thing. Yes.
I think we should return to our subject. Let's return to the verse. The verses open one another anyway. As our son Erdem asked earlier, whether the verses always confirm one another, or only — that is, within themselves — or whether one is related to the one before and after — when he asks that: the verses are all related to one another. Yes, among them some — if Allah gives us of His grace and generosity, we will surely give charity and we will surely be among the righteous — swore by Allah, it says. People who are hypocrites and disbelievers, when in the first barzakh, at Kalu Bela, they made a covenant with Allah, those who rebelled against Allah, who betrayed their Creator... That is: My Beloved, don't mind their calling you a liar, it says.
In their time they betrayed Me too. That is, although I created them, although I said I am your Lord, they waited for the Lord of their imaginings. Out of haughtiness, pride and arrogance they did not recognize Me as Lord. They betrayed Me too. But because We are not to be ascribed attributes, it says. As it's said, Allah (?) deficient attributes — so that they would in no way attribute qualities to Him, so that you would not say: here I saw You like us, I could not know You as my Lord; had You sent me to a hidden world, how I would have worshipped You there — for this He created these worlds and sent us to this world, a hidden world.
When we say this hidden world, people who with wordplay presumably think us as poor as themselves say: this verse says the manifest world and the hidden. Although we explain the meaning of the ghayb: is this the manifest world or the ghayb, do we call this ghayb? In the sense of: if it's ghayb, look, we're living here in this world. Supposedly he tries to trick us with wordplay, with that tiny mind. With his tiny mind. Yes. People who are hypocrites and disbelievers, when in the first barzakh, at Kalu Bela, they made a covenant with Allah, those who rebelled against Allah, who betrayed their Creator — since by denying Allah they lied at the root, all who are outside Islam are liars.
All people outside Islam are liars.
Hodja, none of them tells the truth. None of them tells the truth. I don't believe your words unless there is a verse. I'll show you a verse now. The disbelievers — they are the lying disbelievers, it says. Allah Almighty in His verse says those outside the religion of Islam are lying disbelievers, it says. Now when Allah Almighty says lying disbelievers, says lying disbelievers, I was saying, none of them tells the truth. If Allah Almighty says lying disbelievers, they are lying disbelievers, but, I was saying, what could its meaning be in this life, I wondered. Anyway, at that address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, when Allah Almighty said: I am your Lord, they denied it and lied there; that is why they are lying disbelievers. Their hearts are scattered and restless, says Allah Almighty.
Their hearts are scattered and restless. They are lying disbelievers. Why? Because they deny the One who created them. So all people outside the religion of Islam are liars. If there is no character of being Muslim in their nature... but if the character of being Muslim is in their nature and they live kufr for the moment, I have nothing to say about them. In the end they — according to the proverb (?) — if they are on the nature of Islam and living in disbelief, in the end they will return to Islam. I have nothing against that. But I say it of those who will go to the hereafter as disbelievers: they are all lying disbelievers.
Because I'm not the one saying it, Allah Almighty is saying it. And I'm saying the verse that Allah Almighty said. Yes. For this reason, their saying: if Allah gives to me, I too will give it to people as charity — is deceiving their own selves. They cannot deceive Allah. Why? Not a single atom to come until the Day of Judgment (?), that We would not know what it will not do. So Allah Almighty, who programs these worlds from the atom to the globe, the Creator — since He created what He created within His own power, He, of whom it is said He has power over all things, created everything from the atom to the globe within His own will and decree, and has power over all who will come until the Day of Judgment.
Yes. Because the traits of people who do not know Allah, who have had their own wish written as their destiny, and what they will do — Allah, who writes their destinies, knows it very well. But Allah does not take their lives without bringing out what is in each person's nature and making him witness to those around and to himself. That is, according to the verse "Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are?", He makes these people witnesses against themselves, those around them and Allah Almighty through the deeds they do; when the time of Allah's decree arrives, people have reached the end of the script they had written.
And they have proven what kind of people they are. At that very moment Allah's decree comes to pass. And they begin the journey to the hereafter. They continue on that journey of no return.
A phone isn't ringing.
Every soul, according to its own nature, will be made witness to itself and to those around. No person will have any question left to ask against Allah. To Allah Almighty: if Allah gives us, we will surely give charity and we will be among the righteous, that is, we too will surely grasp that Islam is the truth and become Muslims, they said. And that they are liars, Allah Almighty makes known in the next verse, we say. That they are liars.
