They were content with sitting with the women who stayed behind and with this action, they have made their hearts sealed (in the covenant of Alastu bi Rabbikum). Because of this, they will not understand.
Tafsir
Those who had betrayed Allah in the first world (Kalubelah) did the same in this world with their own nature and denied Allah and His Messenger. They did not recognize Allah (swt) as Allah (swt) even though they knew that they were created. They ascribed shirk to Allah by deifying His creatures. They could not break the pride and arrogance in their nafs and submit to Allah and His Messenger.
That is why they have consented to be with women who stay at home. With these traits and feelings in them, they have written for themselves what they desire as their destiny, according to their own desires and wishes. Because they had such evil traits, they had their hearts sealed against understanding and comprehension of Allah.
Those who have these characteristics do not listen to Allah, the Prophet, or the Messenger, do not believe in the Hereafter, and are eager for the worldly goods they see and do not want to part with them. In this respect, they do not listen to Allah's command. And because their hearts are sealed with these traits, that is why they do not understand.
The point they do not understand; That Allah is the Creator, that He is also created by this Creator, that every human being has come to the realm of property to fulfill the covenant he has made with his Creator, that this realm is a temporary testing place, that the realm of the Hereafter is the true realm, that every creature has a responsibility towards its Creator, that the orders of the Creator are to be obeyed to the letter, that all created creatures are programmed for the tasks they are to perform, They forget the purpose of their creation by behaving as if they were adrift while all other creatures are doing their duties perfectly; they forget that human beings, who have been given the power of will, were created as the most honorable of all created beings, that they are addressed to the essence of Allah, and that they forget their creator by behaving as if they are the owners of these creatures among all these created beings, and they are disobedient and incomprehensible societies.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 87. This verse has been corrected.
Verses that seem very close to each other —
if the meaning changes, the meaning ceases to be a verse. It becomes human speech. And into human speech many words that contradict each other get mixed. But into Allah's word no human word can mix, and none of His words contradicts another.
Verse 86, verse 87: they were content to be with the women left behind, it says. We are reading the wrong one. A seal was put on their hearts. A seal was put on their hearts. Therefore they do not understand. Those people would say — now, knowledge needs to have some root here, knowledge, which is truly a deep subject; when people could not understand it, we began to grasp; a deep subject must have a root so that people understand it, like a child first being raised in a school. Yes, what does it say? A seal was put on their hearts; those people therefore do not understand, it says; those people could say this: You sealed my heart, You did this, how could I possibly understand? they could say. Whereas there: with the women left behind they were content to be.
In this state, their hearts beforehand — we open "beforehand" here in parentheses anyway — at the address "Elestü bi Rabbiküm", they had sealed. They had their hearts sealed. That is, they had their wishes and desires, their aims, written for themselves as destiny. Here Allah Almighty did not, on His own whim, discriminate among people and seal their hearts. Because many verses were explained this way, He was made human-like. For example, Allah created humans and jinn for hell. He created many of them for hell. Allah will put whom He wills into paradise and whom He wills into hell. Allah sealed people's hearts.
Like this, as if He Himself discriminated among people, they explained the verses. Whereas Allah has His attributes. He left everyone free in their own will. Through what is called partial will, people, by their own will, their wishes and desires, and the deeds they carry out, earn reward and sin. Yes. These need to be explained. A root is needed. When we suddenly explain it at that root, they say, oh, what's in this? What's in this? There is a lot in it, but one has to understand. In this, man makes Allah human-like. Out of your faith, you say, he's an unbeliever anyway — yes, he's an unbeliever anyway, but you perceive it that way; but a person who would become Muslim, a person whose head works: if Allah is like this, then this one of ours, what does it say — it says this.
That is, Christians, idolaters or (?) say it like that too, and why should I change my religion, he says. Yes, Allah's words do not contradict each other. What are we saying? With the women left behind they were content to be. In this state, their hearts, beforehand, at the "Elestü bi Rabbiküm" address, they had sealed. Therefore they do not understand. Those who betrayed Allah at (?), at Kalu Bela, those who betrayed Allah. Yes, when you say he betrayed Allah, it is not in the sense that he opposed Him and made war. When Allah Almighty created our souls and said to them, I am your Lord, against their Creator, not recognizing their Lord and waiting for the Lord in their imagination, rebelling against Allah Almighty, that is not recognizing Him, is a betrayal of Him.
Indeed, to the Prophet (peace be upon him) too Allah Almighty says, do not mind their calling you a liar. In their time they betrayed Me too, He says. They betrayed Me too. Yes, accordingly We too gave them their destinies. And they are not ones who can change those destinies, He says. Therefore you cannot make the deaf hear, He says. How beautifully the verses confirm each other. But if a root (?), a person falls into such an ocean of peace. An ocean of peace. When the verses all fit together with each other like this.
Yes, those who betrayed Allah at (?), at Kalu Bela, with the nature in them, doing the same thing in the world too, denied Allah and His Messenger.
Despite knowing they were created, they simply would not recognize Allah Almighty as Allah. By deifying what Allah Almighty created, they associated partners with Allah. Breaking the grandeur and arrogance in their nafs, they could not surrender to Allah and His Messenger. That grandeur in his nafs, about which Allah Almighty says, We put iron collars on their necks, collars. We explain those collars to you. This also appears in the Quran, in Surah Yasin. Wolf dogs, that is, on the necks of sheepdogs, out of nails they fasten a collar, so that when it fights with wolves, the wolf can't dive in and disable it by the neck.
So if there are such collars on their necks, people cannot bow their necks like this before Allah. Out of their arrogance and pride, they always keep it raised like a scorpion's tail.
Therefore, too, they were content to be with the women sitting at home. With these traits and feelings in them, in the direction of their own wishes and desires, they had what they desired written for themselves as destiny. And because they had such bad traits, their hearts, toward not understanding and not grasping Allah's, they had sealed. Yes, their hearts, toward not understanding Allah Almighty's word and not obeying it, in return for their own wishes and desires, they had sealed.
Why did they do this?
It may occur to someone: would a person ever go against Allah, Hodja, one might think. Well, Allah Almighty created man very honorable, gave from His spirit. That is, people are endowed with the forms of Allah Almighty's essence. A part of the spirit is in man. Therefore, since these people, endowed with those forms of essence, are honored with the spirit that is a part of our Lord, in the universe, in no being other than man is there a spirit.
But many people who don't know themselves, even on Islamic sites, to cats and dogs, to animals, ascribe a spirit and say so. Allah forbid. Yes.
In that case, since these people saw Allah Almighty as like themselves, they waited for the Lord of their own imagination. That is, with a grandeur hanging down from the (?), and they too would prostrate to Him. Then what need was there for Allah Almighty to leave us free in our own will? If He was going to come before us frightening us, saying, well, I am your Lord, there are many beings He programmed without frightening them. He programmed the animals as He wished, the angels. He programmed them as He wished. Whichever attribute of His is to be invoked, the angels invoke it. Well, the animals complement one another in the way He programmed.
The wheel of life turns. Why should people do it that way too? But since He left man free in his own will and wanted them, by their own will, to know, people were created honorable. That is why people are honorable above the worlds. Because there is spirit. Yes.
So in that case too, because people waited for the Lord of their imagination, the One before them who said I created you, who said with certainty I created — well, they could not recognize their Lord. They could not recognize their Lord. When I say their Lord, I mean people. Those people could not recognize their Lord. When I say "their Lord", I don't mean it in the sense of many lords. I say "their Lord" referring to the people. We say our Lord. Our Lord. But when we say "their Lord" about a community before us, the Lord of these. That is, the Lord of those people. Otherwise, when we say "their Lord", we of course don't mean many great gods or deities.
Yes. They could not recognize their Lord. That is, those people, each could not recognize his Lord.
When we say "his Lord", it becomes singular. It refers to individuals singly. Perhaps, as I understand it, there may be a shortcoming in the Turkish wording, but if there is a shortcoming in my speaking this way, we explain that too. Whether a community, that is all created beings other than Allah, know their Lord or not. Whether they know their Lord or not. That is, whether those people know their Lord or not.
So in that case, those who did not recognize Allah, out of their own pride and grandeur, Allah Almighty, whom they saw as like themselves — against Allah Almighty they rebelled. You are not our Lord, you cannot be, they said. Allah Almighty then: come to Me, is that what you say? So. Then I give you traits accordingly, He says. So, if We do not will, you cannot will. That is, a word has gone forth from Us. Paradise and hell. These traits, these traits, destinies, only I can change, He says. And from Us a word has gone forth, paradise and hell; now We will not interfere with these, He says. He will of course separate those who know from those who don't.
So those who have these traits do not listen to Allah, Prophet, Messenger, do not believe in the Hereafter, desire the worldly goods they see and do not want to part from them. Therefore they do not listen to Allah's command. With these traits, since their hearts are sealed, they therefore do not understand. Because their hearts are sealed. Whatever you say. Those ears are veiled. Yes.
The point they do not understand. What is it? Allah being the Creator. That they too were created by this Creator, that to the great realm every person, the covenant he gave toward his Creator, came to (?), that this world is a temporary place of testing, that the true realm is the Hereafter, that every created being has responsibility toward its Creator, that the commands of that Creator are to be obeyed to the letter, that all created beings are programmed for the duties they will carry out, that they continue their duties; while all creatures do their duty flawlessly, people, into whose hands the divine part was given, were created as the most (?) of created beings, that they are addressed by Allah's essence, that among so many created beings, behaving as if they were the owners of these created things, and by forgetting their Creator, these are communities that do not listen and do not understand. Yes, although they themselves, for what purpose and aim to this world they came, do grasp — for there is reason — these, with the desires of their nafs, with the rosy look of the world, with the temptation the devil gave them, they turn their backs on Allah and reach the point of not listening to Allah's word.
