Translation
(Oh My Messenger!) Recite to them the news about Abraham.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) made the Prophet (pbuh) narrate what happened to the past tribes with His Verses, in order to stop people from saying that the Prophet (pbuh) is a poet or that he tells people what others have dictated by memorizing it morning and evening, and to prove that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the true Prophet. In order to prove that our Prophet (s.a.w.) is the true Prophet, he confirms the Prophethood of our Prophet (s.a.w.) by telling what happened to the past tribes and the same Books in the hands of the tribes who believed in their Prophets.
This verse and the following verses convey to us the conversations of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) with his father and his people. (My Messenger!) He will tell them to convey the news of Ibrahim (Abraham) to the people by informing the Prophet (PBUH) of the time of Hazrat Ibrahim.
What is said in the video
To verse 69 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara we have come. My Messenger, tell them the news of Abraham too, He says. Tell the news of Abraham too. Abraham (peace be upon him) has many stories worthy of taking a lesson from. When his father Azar, who worshipped idols, wanted him to worship idols, Abraham's not worshipping the idols, his being a hanif, that is, from his birth he never worshipped an idol, despite growing up among idols. And his breaking the idols and putting the axe on the neck of the big idol, and his entering among those whom Allah Almighty loves. Khalilullah, Abraham whom He called Khalil, well, his story Allah Almighty now tells.
My Messenger, relate to them the news of Abraham too. Allah Almighty, through His verses, tells the Prophet (peace be upon him) what befell the past peoples. To stop them saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he is a poet, or he memorises morning and evening what others have dictated and tells it to people, and to prove that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a true prophet, by telling what befell the past peoples exactly as it is in the books in the hands of the peoples who believed in their prophets, He confirms the prophethood of the Prophet (peace be upon him). With this verse and the verses following it, the conversations of Abraham (peace be upon him) with his father and his people are related to us.
His saying, My Messenger, relate to them the news of Abraham too, will make the time of Abraham known to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and have him relate it to people.
