Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 70. When he said to his father and his people, what are you worshipping? How beautiful. Although he grew up among idols since childhood, he did not believe in idols, and he sought the Lord who created those worlds. He sought his Lord, he sought our Lord. The sun rises, and when it sets, I do not believe in what sets, he says; at night the moon rises, he says, could this be my Lord? When it too sets and disappears, he says, those that disappear cannot be my Lord. When he said to his father and his people, what are you worshipping? Abraham (peace be upon him), so that his people and his father would not worship the idols they made with their hands, wants to wake them up by leading them to think with their minds, and he asks them a question.
