Translation

When you return to them (from the campaign), they will offer excuses. Say; “Do not offer excuses (in vain). We will not believe you because Allah has given us your news. Allah will see your deeds and so will Allah’s Messenger. Then, you will be returned to the One who knows the seen and the unseen and Allah will inform you about what you have been doing.”

Tafsir

Our Lord informs our Prophet (s.a.w.) that those who sit with those who sit at home, hypocrites and disbelievers will come to our Prophet (s.a.w.) on his return from the expedition and make excuses and apologize. Say to those who apologize: Do not apologize in vain. For our Lord has informed us what kind of people you are. We will never believe in you. If you repent and reform in your future lives, you will be saved for your own souls. But if you continue to be hypocrites in the same way, you will be one of those who waste your own souls.

Allah will see your next deed and so will we. Then you will be returned to Allah, Who sees all that is seen and unseen, in Whose sight nothing is hidden or concealed, Who is sovereign and omnipotent over all His creatures, according to the Verse (all souls will taste death). Then you will be informed of what you have done in this world on the Day of Reckoning in the eternal realm from which you will never return.

What is said in the video

In Surah At-Tawbah, verse 94, it says: when you return to them from the campaign, they will make excuses to you. Who are they? Those who sat with the women. Out of shame they will make excuses. Say: do not make excuses in vain. That is, you are going to lie. A lie — do not lie in vain. We will never believe you, because Allah has informed us of your news. Where did He inform us? In the address "Alastu bi-Rabbikum", as a result of the covenant given there, Allah, who wrote each person's wish for him as destiny and placed those destinies in people as characters, says: until the Day of Judgment there is no (?) living being to come of which We do not know what it will not do.

Yes. In this case, in this case Allah Almighty, since He knows what people will do until the Day of Judgment, informs the Prophet of the state of those who sat with those staying at home and says: do not make excuses in vain. We are never going to believe you. Because Allah is informing us of your state. Yes. Your deeds from now on, to Allah — Allah too will see them. Your deeds from now on. And His Messenger; then you will be returned to the Knower of the seen and the unseen. He will inform you of what you used to do. From now on, if you repent and turn to Allah, you too, I too, and Allah too will see what you do.

And finally, at the end of this worldly life, when we all are gathered in Allah's presence, at the Supreme Court, there it will be declared to us by our Lord what state we are in — so it is declared. No one will be able to present his rightful side to Allah Almighty and escape punishment. Because Allah is free of all deficiencies. No human will be able to question Allah Almighty. This is Allah's attribute of being Allah. Allah Almighty will have made known all the questions He will ask. When a person sees his own deficiency, he will then be silenced. Yes. Those who sat with those staying at home, the hypocrites and disbelievers, will come to the Prophet (peace be upon him) returning from the campaign and, inventing pretexts, apologize — our Lord announces this.

To the Prophet. Say to those who apologize: do not make excuses in vain at all. Because our Lord has informed us what kind of people you are. We will never believe you. That is, (?). Why and for what purpose you sat, our Lord who created the worlds has, to us — people's characters, and within these characters their destinies, our Lord who (?) — to us made it known. If the Owner of the worlds, without discriminating among His servants, informs us of His servants' states, shall we believe not our Lord's word but your word? he says. Yes, because what kind of people you are, our Lord has informed us.

We will never believe you. If in your lives from now on you repent and reform, for your own selves you will attain salvation. Otherwise, if you continue in hypocrisy in the same way, you will bring loss upon your own selves and be among those who ruin themselves.

Allah will see your deeds from now on, and so will we. Then every soul will taste death. According to the verse: to Allah, who sees all the seen and the unseen, that is, who created the worlds, Allah,

from whom nothing is hidden or concealed, who is Ruler and All-Powerful over all His creation — to Allah you will be returned. Then, in the eternal world from which there is no return, what you did in the world will be told to you on that Day of Reckoning. There is no return again. Nor does the spirit enter that body again. Yes. Now, our people — you know, in the text written by Radd al-Muhtar, saying "this man denies the hadiths", and misunderstanding the verses, they bring a person into paradise with the body, you know — how do they bring him in? You will be cleansed, it says. You came here completely clean.

Apparently there is a lake at the gate of paradise. He will apparently enter the lake and wash. Then he will apparently go in from there completely clean. This is how superstition begins. Superstition. If they knew that the spirit, nafs and life of living beings are one, and the bodies separate, — if they only knew — like what? Allah Almighty created our spirits beforehand. In the first barzakh, still in the world of spirits, He created them. Then He made a covenant with them, then He raised them to the barzakh. How much time passed — (?) world, while creating the world of dominion, He created many beings.

The angels and jinn unaware of these beings — that the spirit of the human created earlier was raised to the barzakh, they are unaware of this. The angels and spirits are unaware of these, the jinn are unaware of these. What they are unaware of: the creation of these worlds from the light of the Prophet, the creation of the jinn too from his light; and that humans, the noblest of creatures, — through our Lord giving the spirit to the light of the light He gave the Prophet, and from that spirit the spirits of the prophets, and from the spirits of the prophets creating the spirits of the nations — were created noble above the worlds: this comes to light. And that the angels and jinn are unaware that man was created earlier — why do we understand that?

The angels say: will You create a human on earth who will shed blood? So they were unaware of the earlier creation of humans; humans had been created in the world of spirits. Then the jinn — up to teacher of the angels, the devil — when he rose to be the teacher of the angels, Allah Almighty creates the body of our father Adam from clay. From clay. Then, when breathing the spirit into him, He says: when I give him My spirit — My spirit, He says — when I give My spirit, you will prostrate, He says. And the devil does not prostrate. Yet, he says, You created him from clay and me from fire. Fire cleans clay, clay (?) fire, he says.

So He created human spirits earlier, and so they could be seen in the garb of a body He created the body from clay, then by giving it the spirit brought about its outward appearance. The reason I explain this so much: if people know that spirit, nafs and life are one, that paradise and hell will not be entered with bodies — according to the verse "We revive you twice and twice cause you to die", our first life is in the earthly world, our first death also in the earthly world, our second life upon the body in the hereafter; at the second death, when you come into My presence with a driver, when it bears witness against the spirit — after the body's testimony ends, saying "you are being returned to the One who first created", saying to our spirit "you are being returned to the One who first created, to the One who first created", the body's second death — when He says "We cause you to die twice", the verses will become manifest.

That spirit, nafs and life are one and the body separate, that we will enter paradise and hell with our spirits, not with bodies; and our entering paradise cleansed expresses that, cleansed of the burden of kufr, of the burden of sin, we enter paradise. Allah Almighty — when one goes on hajj, to the House of Allah, when the hajj circumambulation is done, that is, when one circles the House and becomes a pilgrim, and at the Station of Abraham two rak'ahs of prayer are performed, you are as pure as if newly born of your mother, He says. Completely pure. That is, sinless. But look, people believe they will enter paradise with the body.

Yet with the body one will enter neither paradise nor hell. After the body dies a second time, created from earth it will become earth, and man will remain as spirit, nafs and life.

If we know these things this way, we will slowly be freed from superstitions.

May Allah grant us good understanding. Good knowledge to understand the verses, may He grant us. When He says "to whom We give knowledge, We give wisdom", in the verses may He grant a good mind to sense the subtleties and the wisdoms in them. Yes.

So: when you return to them from the campaign, they will make excuses to you. Well, do not make excuses in vain. We will never believe you, because Allah has informed us of your news. Allah will see your deeds from now on, and His Messenger too. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the seen and the unseen, and what you used to do He will tell you, it says.

Those who sat with those staying at home, the hypocrites and disbelievers, will come to the Prophet (peace be upon him) returning from the campaign and, inventing pretexts, will apologize.

Your Lord informs the Prophet that they will apologize. Say to those who apologize: do not make excuses in vain at all, because what kind of people you are, our Lord has informed us. Then every soul will taste death. According to the verse: to Allah, who sees all the seen and the unseen, from whom nothing is hidden or concealed, who is Ruler and All-Powerful over all His creation, you will be returned.
