Ask them; “To whom do the things in the heavens and the earth belong?” and say; “Allah”. Allah has made it an obligation upon Allah’s Self to have mercy. Allah will summon you on the Day of Judgment, about whose existence there is no doubt. Those who put themselves in loss, they are the non-believers.
Tafsir
To those who rebelled against Allah, to those who denied the Prophets (ask them who owns what is in the heavens and the earth, and then say, "It is Allah's.") The Prophets who called people to guidance and salvation were accused of lying by the people, and to those who opposed Allah's commands and revelation, Allah (swt) wanted to bring these people to their senses and make them use their reason; O Habibim! Say to them, "Whose are the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then say, 'To Allah, the only One, the Wise in His judgment. In this way declare to the people that Allah is the Creator and has no partner or partner in His property, and that those whom the people worship with their hands have no power over anything.
Since Allah (swt) created human beings incomplete and faulty, Allah (swt) has taken it upon Himself to forgive them when they turn to Allah (swt) with their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. In this way, by recognizing his helplessness and turning to his Lord, man obeys the existence of Allah (swt). Allah (swt) has made it obligatory upon Himself to have mercy on those who turn to Him. Otherwise, when people rebel against Allah, Allah does not include those who rebel against Him in His mercy by showing mercy to them. However, while living in the realm of property, He treats people with mercy and provides for them until the end of their lives within a certain lifespan. In this respect, Allah (swt), with His Merciful attribute, has mercy on everyone in the universe, and they find life by benefiting from Allah's merciful attribute. His mercy is only for the believer in the Hereafter.
(He will gather people on the Day of Resurrection, the existence of which is not in doubt.) (All souls will taste death.) According to the verse, after death, people will be gathered in the presence of Allah and will be held to account for what they have done during their lives on earth.
However, according to the verse (those who make themselves waste, those are the ones who do not believe), those who rebelled against Allah by not believing in Him (at Kalu Bela), those who were destined to disbelieve and rebel against Allah, to defy Allah, whatever you tell these people will not help. Because they cannot depart from what they know and their destiny. Therefore, these people can never believe in the unity of Allah because they are wasteful to their souls.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-An'am, verse 12. 'Ask them: to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and on the earth?' Allah Almighty says to the Prophet (peace be upon him): ask the polytheists, the disbelievers, those who hold different ideologies: to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and on the earth? He says. Again, answer it yourself, He says. It is said: it belongs to Allah. Say: it belongs to Allah. 'He has prescribed mercy upon Himself.' Mercy. How can He make His creatures (?) to hell? What kind of mercy, what kind of obligation is this, you may say.
Allah Almighty has the attribute of justice. Mercy is mercy, but justice is above mercy. Justice is above mercy. How can justice be above mercy? If there is injustice, your mercy is of no use at all, and everything drowns in corruption, together with your mercy. So if Allah Almighty, who is Alaysallahu bi-ahkami'l-hakimin, is the Owner of justice, the Owner of justice, if He is the Judge of judges, (?) He will give everyone their punishment with justice; because of His mercy He will wrong no one. Because of His mercy He will not wrong anyone. Even His mercy (?) goes so far that His mercy, they, He says, after spending many thousands of years there, will no longer feel or taste, those eternal people of hell.
What will He do? Again out of His mercy, when their punishments are complete, their punishments, but there is no getting out. There is no getting out of there. He will remove their (?) senses, and they, not feeling and not tasting, will be eternal logs of hell. Yes. In this case, Allah Almighty has prescribed mercy upon Himself. Because of that mercy, to the one who prays his prayer, who keeps his fast, who has money and goes on Hajj, who gives his zakat, to those who try to live by the religion of Islam, in the realm of the hereafter, in return for the good deeds they did, plus from Himself, from His bounty, from His grace, from His mercy, giving people more, He will please them in the realm of the hereafter.
Yes. Is this not mercy? Is this not grace?
'He has prescribed mercy upon Himself. He will surely gather you on the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt,' He says. Surely. How you came to exist, where you came from, sir, how you came to exist, do you ever think about it?
Nothing comes into being from nothing. Nor does what exists become nothing. So if something comes into being from nothing, there is one who creates it. And that Creator, if He is the Creator, is our Owner. Well then, your Owner, on the earth, knowing Him; let Him feed you, give you drink, and you be ungrateful to Him. Let Him show you the right path, and you carry on along crooked paths. Let Him tell you: do not do this, this and this. And you, contrary to Him, lead the way in drink, gambling and adultery. Be in states that will drown the world in corruption. Do not observe truth and justice.
Wage war against Allah and His Messenger. By consuming interest. Then let Him receive you in the other world with praise. (?) you. (?) you. Where is it then? Alaysallahu bi-ahkami'l-hakimin. Well, with such thoughts of yours toward Allah Almighty, toward the One who created you, can you never wrap yourself in a feeling of shame toward your Owner, toward your Lord? Can you not understand that you are acting shamelessly? Are you not ashamed at all?
If you had a mind, you would be ashamed. They are wretches who do not use their minds anyway.
Surely Allah Almighty will gather us on that Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. 'Those who have brought loss upon themselves, they are the ones who do not believe,' He says. Those who have brought loss upon themselves. Who are these who bring loss upon themselves? Those who defy Allah Almighty. Those who do not carry out His command. Waiting for the Lord of their imagination who will save them, who will save them according to their own minds, that Lord of theirs,
those gods of theirs, with their wealth, (?), will flatter them, will do what they say. They are waiting for such a god. Poor things. But how beautifully our Lord puts it. They will not be able to see their Lord. Because there is no god other than Allah, after all, that they
should wait for the Lord of their imagination. Yes.
Ask those who are rebels against Allah, those who belie the prophets: to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens or the earths, on the earth? And then say: it belongs to Allah. The prophets who call people to guidance and salvation being accused of lying by people; to those who oppose Allah's commands and His oneness, Allah Almighty, in order to bring these people to their senses and make them use their minds, says to Muhammad (peace be upon him): O My beloved, say to them: to whom belong the heavens and the earth and what is between the two? And then say: they belong to Allah, the One, the Wise in His judgment.
They belong to Allah, besides whom there is no god, who is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and what is between the two, who subsists by Himself, who is not (?) with a child, who brought these worlds into being from nothing, who provides every kind of sustenance to meet the needs of His creatures, but who shows no need for His creatures. This world, this belongs to such a Creator, our Lord.
In this way, declare to people that Allah has no equal or partner as Creator and in His dominion, and that what people worship with their hands has no power over anything, He says. Yes. We can only invent things with what Allah created. Because He created us capable, gave us a mind. This does not mean bringing into being from nothing. But some say: this person created this. He is saying it wrongly. To create means to bring into being from nothing. But within what Allah Almighty created, people find some sciences among the sciences that people had not found. These are inventions. They invent. Invention.
That does not mean creating. Creating belongs to Allah alone.
Since Allah Almighty created people incomplete and fallible, with the mistakes people will make, when they turn to Allah Almighty and ask for pardon and forgiveness, Allah Almighty has made it His principle, has seen it as a duty, to let these pass.
Why? Making it His principle, He makes it a duty. The mistakes people have made: when people turn to their Lord and ask for pardon and forgiveness, it is not possible that Allah Almighty (?) let it pass. Why? Out of His mercy. Out of His mercy. According to what is His mercy here? Since He created people incomplete and fallible, since He created them close to His Essence, seeing these shortcomings of theirs: O my Allah, O my Lord who created me, my Allah, besides whom I have no owner, I have made a mistake. I have made a mistake. I have understood that I sinned. There is no one but You who will let this sin of mine pass.
For this reason I have repented. I have sworn never to do it again.
And I came to Your door, I rejoiced. When he says, forgive me, it is impossible that Allah does not forgive His servant. If He did not forgive, then this time Allah Almighty would be (?). Yes, from those deficient attributes and (?); why would He be (?)? Remember, He had created them incomplete; remember, having created them incomplete, because of people's mistakes there was their knowing their helplessness and taking refuge in their Lord; there was His pardon and forgiveness; remember, Allah Almighty was much forgiving of repentance; remember, had you made mistakes, had you not made mistakes, We would have destroyed you on the earth, drowned you, and created in your place servants who make mistakes; it is not worthy of our Lord's glory to say otherwise, when a person (?) because of the mistake he made (?), and repents to his Lord, and takes refuge at His door. With the blackness of his hands, the blackness of his face, if he rubs his face at his Lord's door, at His threshold, it is impossible that his Lord does not purify him.
That is impossible. So, Allah Almighty's, with their asking Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness, Allah Almighty has made it His principle, made it a duty, to forgive them.
In this way, by knowing his helplessness and turning to his Lord, a person has obeyed the existence of Allah Almighty. Why did Allah create us? He created us so that His Essence would be known. So that His Essence would be known. And since we were created incomplete, we made mistakes, we knew our helplessness, we broke our nafs. What did we say? My Allah, with this incomplete mind of ours we thought we were doing right, but we made a mistake. I have understood that I am a sinner. When you say, forgive me, it is impossible that Allah Almighty does not forgive.
Otherwise, when people are rebels against Allah, Allah does not, out of mercy toward them, include in His mercy those who rebel against Him. (?) He has the attribute of justice. Allah Almighty's attribute of justice. Yes.
But while living in the realm of Mulk, within people's set lifespan, until the end of their lives, He deals with these people with mercy and gives them their sustenance. He gives them their sustenance. Even those who are rebels against Allah, those who defy Him, whatever the case, Allah Almighty will give them their sustenance. What is the reason, Hodja? He gives sustenance to such bad people. Well, why did He send us to this world?
Faith in the unseen. Why faith in the unseen? You saw Me, He says, in the realm of the hereafter, at that address 'Am I not your Lord?', and you did not believe in Me. You did not believe that I am your Lord. Because I gave you of My spirit and (?) you with My attributes of essence, like My Essence, you denied Me. Lest you say: had You sent us to a (?) realm and made Your Essence known, we would have worshipped You there. That is why We sent you to this world, and within your lifetime, to have you prove yourselves to yourselves, to have those around you as witnesses, and to make yourselves witnesses to yourselves, a life that will bring out your qualities until the end of your life, that will prove what kind of person you are; within it, when you have completed that life of yours, your return is to Me, He said, (?) He said; according to the verse, you will pass from this world to the hereafter, He says.
In this case Allah Almighty, within His mercy, deals with all people with His mercy, feeds them, gives them drink. But after that person has proven himself within that lifetime, within the time of this short world, within the living of his life, he has proven himself and has now stepped into the city of that eternal realm. That is, with his death he has gone to the realm of barzakh. The trumpet will be blown, the Day of Judgment will come, and finally with a second trumpet, Israfil's trumpet, people will be raised, bodies will be raised, and together with the spirits the account will be settled in our Lord's presence.
After the account, with the second death of the bodies, spirit, nafs and soul remain as one form, and in this way they will enter paradise or hell. In this case, as long as they live, people are in need of Allah Almighty's mercy. And in this case Allah Almighty says: My mercy in the universe is for everyone, but in the hereafter only for the believer. Why for the believer? Because they knew their Lord, obeyed Him, carried out what He said, feared Allah, trusted, relied on Allah. Surely, to those who carry out Allah Almighty's command, Allah Almighty too will deal with them with His mercy. For the other, His mercy will be removed.
To those whom His mercy has cut off, no one will be able to give either help or intercession. Yes.
But while living in the realm of Mulk, within people's set lifespan, until the end of their lives, He deals with these people with mercy and gives them their sustenance. For this reason, since Allah Almighty's mercy, with the attribute ar-Rahman, is for everyone in the universe, they find life by benefiting from Allah's attribute ar-Rahman. But in the hereafter His mercy is only for the believer. People He will gather on the Day of Judgment, about whose reality there is no doubt.
What are we saying? I am not saying it. Allah Almighty is saying it. What does He say?
About whose reality there is no doubt; you, on the Day of Judgment, about whose reality there is no doubt, He will surely gather.
About whose reality there is no doubt; why about whose reality there is no doubt?
You were raised, you were raised by Israfil's trumpet; spirits and bodies met each other. Then: woe to us, who has woken us, who has raised us? The prophets told the truth, he will say; he will see there with his own eyes that Allah Almighty's promise is true; that is why He says He will gather you on that Day of Judgment, about whose reality there is no doubt; about whose reality there is no doubt; again, it is that day on which there is no doubt about Allah Almighty's existence. For whom? Here our Lord does not mean His Essence, but for us believers, for the Muslims, for those who go with faith, who, even if he has entered hell because of his sin, will still enter paradise.
For these, they do not doubt Allah Almighty's existence. As for those who will enter hell, with Allah Almighty saying, if only they had known Me, although they address Allah Almighty as Allah, as my Lord, they say it because they see the punishment, in order to escape it. If their characters had changed, Allah Almighty is not an owner of oppression, an oppressor, to oppress. He is not one to wrong people. He is the Owner of mercy; so their thoughts are exactly like this. Because their characters are so. He waits for the Lord of his imagination. That Lord will come. They will take revenge on Allah.
Since this feeling of theirs does not change either, because their characters are so, within these feelings they will stay there as eternal logs of hell. There is no getting out of there. They are there forever.
Yes. So they doubt His existence; they were in doubt about Allah's existence and in rebellion, and the believers are those who are not in doubt. But there is a place where all people meet at a single point: that day about whose reality there is no doubt, with Israfil's trumpet people being raised, in the realm of the hereafter the Great Court being set up, and their seeing that the day the prophets promised is true. All people will no longer doubt its reality. Yes.
According to the verse 'Every nafs shall taste death', after people die, they will be gathered in the divine presence and will be called to account for what they did within the life they lived in the life of this world.
In this case, all that has been explained, all the verses show us this: Allah Almighty's address to people: O people! You were sent to this realm of Mulk to prove what kind of people you are in the course of a mortal world. O people!
Submit to the commands of Allah, who created you.
Do not depart from the Truth. Do not associate partners with Allah. Do not deify your nafs.
Respect people's rights and laws. Keep away from backbiting, lying, adultery and interest. Keep away from vices like drink and gambling. Do not follow the footsteps of Satan.
This is what our Lord wants from people. If you carry these out, you will enter among your Lord's (?) people. You will enter among the friends of Allah, the saints, His righteous servants. It is not a hard thing. Master your nafs. It is not a hard thing. As long as you know how to master your nafs. Increase your love and affection for Allah Almighty. Fear Allah. If you fear Allah, you do what He says. If you love your own nafs, your nafs, in this world and in the hereafter you will suffer wrong. But if you think of yourself, that is, if you think of your being, and if you want to do good to your own being, that is, your spirit,
your soul, sir,
including your nafs, if you want to do good to your own being, you will love Allah. If you love Allah, you carry out what Allah says. What does the man say in the song? Even poison, if from the beloved's hand, is drunk, he says. Look, if he drinks even poison from the hand of a person he loves, where do you leave your love and affection for the Lord who created you? What He says; He does not give you poison, He gives you life, yet why do you not do what He says and want to attain your Lord's mercy?
Yes.
So if you love Allah, you do what Allah says, and in this world, having carried out your Lord's command, proving yourself as a servant, when you go into your Lord's presence, Allah Almighty too receives you with a smiling face. He makes you safe from the severity and majesty of that day. That day, He says, paradise is brought near to the God-fearing. Paradise is brought near. And to the sinners, He says, hell is shown openly. And to them, He says, the fire of hell is brought near. Yes. Do you love yourself? If you love yourself, you carry out your Lord's, your Lord's command. True love is loving the essence in your own being, for your reaching salvation later in the hereafter.
To reach salvation you are obliged to carry out Allah's verses. So that you reach salvation. So that you bring yourself to freedom. To freedom. Otherwise, behind prison bars in a dungeon, you either rot or suffer a great deal of punishment. 'But those who have brought loss upon themselves, they are the ones who do not believe,' He says. Those who bring loss upon themselves; who are they? These are those who turn their backs on Allah's verses, who deny them, those who look to what is other than Allah, who shoulder the worldly realm, porters, those who (?) the hereafter; Allah Almighty does not say: you, do not work for your world. Work. Work hard, in fact.
Build up your world, He says. And stand on your own feet. Earn the world, but do not let love of it into your heart. There cannot be, he says, house upon house. One of the poets says so. There cannot be, he says, house upon house. So there cannot be two loves in one heart either.
These blessings that Allah has (?) for you, has created, for a temporary time, for you to prove what kind of person you are, you must know that they are (?) from your Lord to you. These goods and property are not yours. You did not create them either. They are our Lord's trusts to us. It is so that He has us witness to ourselves how we will deal with them.
In this case, the heavens and the earth, the inheritance of what is between the two, belongs to Allah, He says. So one day a person will taste death, and those goods and properties that I called your goods and property will remain to Him, since they are what your Lord created. With the deeds you invented, with your good deeds and sins, stark naked, you will go into Allah Almighty's presence. If your load of good deeds is greater, then there you have become an owner of property. You live in the most beautiful way in the highest paradise. You live in the palaces, mansions, (?) your Lord gives you.
No. You say 'mine' of what your Lord created. You burden yourself with it. You load the world on your back. You become a porter of the world. If you (?) your hereafter, then you load the burden of fire on your back. May Allah protect us from such feelings.
'But those who have brought loss upon themselves, they are the ones who do not believe.' According to the verse, in fact, those who rebelled by not believing in Allah at Qalu Bala, since in them there is not believing in Allah, being a rebel, defying Allah, whatever you explain to these people is of no use. When they hear the word of truth, He says, the word of truth, they become like clouds in the sky about to burst. And they go through distress. They stop their ears and leave that place, He says, that gathering. Yes. Because they cannot depart from what they know and from their destiny. From their destiny.
For this reason, since these people are harmful to their own nafs, they can never believe in Allah's oneness. Yes.
