Translation

Everything that exists in the night and the day, belongs to Allah. Allah is Samee (All-Hearing) and Aleem (All-Knowing).

Tafsir

We have explained in the previous Verses that day and night come into being as the earth rotates around its axis, and that Allah (swt) has created this whole universe with knowledge. In this verse, Allah (swt) declares that just as He created the creatures that provide sustenance for those who live during the day, He also created the creatures that come into existence at night and provides sustenance for them, and since He says that the world and the rotation of the world, the night and the day, and what is in the night and the day, are Allah's, if the night and the day represent the world as a whole, there is not a speck in the world that Allah has not created it and that it is not Allah's.

Therefore, despite the fact that Allah has made His verses so clear and explicit and has revealed His existence to mankind with proofs, and because every mind is created to know its Lord, man's stubborn refusal to turn to Allah and turning away from Him will drag him to the place he deserves in the face of the One who judges with truth and justice.

Allah is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing. There is no being that He has created His creatures apart from Himself, unseen and unaware of His Essence. All creation is programmed to Allah. They are under the appearance of Allah. Therefore, their movements, motions, desires and wishes, and what is in their hearts are a declaration to Allah. Had it not been so, had He been ignorant of the condition of His creatures, the creatures would have spent their lives in misery and suffering.

What is said in the video

We come to Surah Al-An'am, verse 13.

Whatever dwells in the night and the day is His. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, it says. In the night and the day. That is, as the earth turns on its own axis, the sun — the side that comes to face the sun is lit, the side that does not is dark, night; as it turns on its own axis, when the dark side comes to face the sun, it is lit, that is day, while on the other side it is night, that is, 24 hours. The earth's turning on its own axis, and the earth as a whole, it says. As a whole. Whatever dwells in the night and the day. That is, whatever dwells within that dominion, whatever there is, everything that dwells there.

Is His, it says. Is Allah's. He created it. One meaning of dwelling in the night and the day is: Allah Almighty created the earth. He raised the atmosphere 82-83 kilometres above the earth.

That the air pressure at sea level is one atmosphere, and that the human heart too keeps the balance with one atmosphere of pressure through blood pressure, just as this shows our Lord's knowledge and power, so does the fact that meteor stones, those rock fragments some of which we call stars, when they enter through that layer, before reaching the ground, burn to ash from the friction. So the earth was sheltered. The earth was sheltered. What does it say? Whatever dwells in the night and the day is His. Who dwells in the night and the day? The earth dwells in the night and the day. How does it dwell? With this atmosphere.

Allah Almighty lets us live upon it. He set up that order, our Lord, Possessor of knowledge and power.

He is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing. There is not a single atom that He would create apart from Himself and be unaware of. This is not possible. That night and day come about through the earth turning on its own axis, that Allah Almighty created this whole universe with knowledge, we explained in the previous verses. Yes, by giving people examples in this way that there is no god but Allah, that He is the Possessor of might and power, that all created beings are in need of Allah Almighty, that with the attribute Hu, with His essence Hu, they subsist, that with the attribute Hayy He gives life to the worlds — this He tells us. In this case, if He is the Owner of all these worlds, if men and jinn together could do Allah no harm, though Allah Almighty makes known that He is absolute power and absolute ruler, He wills that people submit to Him and that He be known, and to us, in all kinds of ways every person can understand, through His verses, examples He gives.

Examples. Yes.

That night and day come about through the earth turning on its own axis, that Allah Almighty created this whole universe with knowledge, we explained in the previous verses. In this verse Allah Almighty — just as He provides the sustenance of those who live by day, just as He created His creatures — declares that He also created the creatures that come out at night, and that He provides their sustenance too; and since He says that the earth and, with the earth's turning, night and day and what is within this night and day are Allah's, if night and day as a whole represent the earth, there is not an atom on earth that Allah did not create and that is not Allah's.

Yes. As in: everything that dwells on earth is His. He has creatures that come out at night and creatures that come out by day, and Allah Almighty, who creates these creatures and provides their sustenance — whatever we see in this universe did not come from human hands — our Lord who created all beings says: I am the Owner of what I created. From this, as we always say, comes tawhid, tawhid. La ilahe illallah.

So, although Allah explains His verses to people this clearly and openly and declares His existence to people with proofs, since every mind is created as knowing its Lord, a person's stubbornly not turning to Allah and turning away from Allah drags him, before the One who judges with truth and justice, to the place he deserves. Yes.

So, in the light of so many proofs, if a person still does not turn to his Lord, this person does not use his mind, is rebellious toward Allah Almighty from the start, and, deifying his nafs, expects a god other than Allah; he falls into the state of such a person — these are the ones who have brought loss upon their own selves, says Allah Almighty. Yes.

In this case, before the One who judges with truth and justice, that is before Allah Almighty, it drags the person to the place he deserves. Where? To Hell, Allah protect us. Allah is the One who truly hears and knows everything. Knows. There is no being that He would create apart from Himself in such a way that He does not see and know it and is unaware of it. Impossible. Even we, we, the (?) flying in the air, the microbes we cannot see with our eyes — and microbes are my Lord's soldiers, it says. Yes. Of all of them, of all of them Allah Almighty is aware.

What do we say? Allah is the One who truly hears and knows everything. There is no being that He would create in such a way that He does not see and know it, unaware of it, apart from Himself. All created beings are programmed to Allah. They are under Allah's view. They are manifest to Allah.

Therefore their stirrings, movements, wishes and desires, what passes through their hearts, are manifest to Allah. Indeed, were it not so, were He unaware of the state of His creatures, created beings, enduring hardship and torment, would spend their lives in anguish.

The molecules and atoms of matter, the nuclei within them, the cores, positive and negative cores, as they spin around their axes, give off a signal. These signals are programmed to Allah Almighty. Every person has a signal of his own. A signal. Those signals are programmed to Allah Almighty. Through this programme, Allah Almighty — with the stirring of those signals, their wishes and desires, like Morse code, their wishes and desires appear with our Lord. And Allah Almighty, in the universe, every moment, everywhere, that all-encompassing switchboard within His creatures, such an expression, such a being, sir, who is instantly aware of all atoms, who sets right their states and movements and keeps them alive and protects them until a set time — Allah Almighty is beyond our minds. Yes.

Allah Almighty, with these verses, keeps proving Himself. Proving Himself. That there is no god besides Him, to us He proves.
