The Prophets before you were also mocked, and the mockery of those who mocked them encircled them (with punishment).
Tafsir
When the Prophets who came before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) invited people to the One and only Allah, the people of disbelief denied the Prophets. They insulted them. However, the messengers of Allah and the Prophets did not hesitate to tell people the truth at the cost of their lives. Those who persisted in their disbelief and mockery denied the miracles from Allah, and Allah surrounded them with torment and destroyed them in the earth as a result of their disbelief. He destroyed many other tribes, such as the people of Lot, the people of Thamud and the people of Sabaoth, with torment for their denial of the truth, for their disbelief.
To be tormented and perish in this world is salvation through death. But since there is no death in the Hereafter, buying the torment of an eternal life is the torment of torments. May Allah protect the Ummah of Muhammad from the endless and inexhaustible torment of an eternal life. May Allah reform those who deny Allah and the Last Day.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-An'am, verse 10: 'Messengers before you were mocked too, and so those who mocked them were surrounded by the punishment they mocked.' Yes. If Allah Almighty shows people the truth, shows what is right, if He makes known that people's rights and laws are to be respected, how they are to be respected, if He makes known that every person has a separate value in Allah's sight, if Allah Almighty makes known to people every person's responsibility toward Allah, and yet a person deceives another person, does not respect his rights and laws, and leaves people subject to hardships, then of course Allah Almighty, as the Owner of justice, according to the verse 'Spread truth and justice on the earth', surely, what every person does never going unpunished, both in this world and in the hereafter, Allah Almighty will call him to account.
So what does it say? 'Messengers before you were mocked too, and so those who mocked them were surrounded by the punishment they mocked.'
With no person, my advice to you, this, as one, accept me as your elder, the younger ones as a father, the even younger ones as a grandfather, peers, those of the same age, as a friend; if one accepts me as a leader, there is one more issue for you. Never mock the one who explains the truth. Never mock the one who explains Allah. Allah Almighty says in a verse: who is finer in speech than the one who explains Allah? He says. But with (?) on that matter I draw your attention. They tell superstitions. They (?) Allah. If those people explain Allah in the light of the verses, the truth, what is right, the qualities Allah Almighty wants to see in people, explain their Lord's commands to people, and those people mock those people of fine speech who explain Allah, they are slowly surrounded from directions they do not know.
Yes, that is why, if you pay attention, our fathers behaved very carefully toward our teachers. They loved them. Even if they spoke wrongly, they would never oppose them. That is why they knew the verses very well, our fathers. Yes, now because we are unaware of the verses, we give you advice. We say: to those who explain our Lord's verses, who show people the truth and what is right, never turn away from them, and do not speak against them.
All the prophets have said these things to people. Worship no god other than Allah. Those you worship other than Allah are servants of Allah. They neither hear you nor help you.
Plus, do not go against Allah's commands. Spread truth and justice on the earth. Do not violate anyone's rights. Weigh with a true balance. Do not betray a trust. Always Allah's commands, with words by which people find life, with words that bring people to life, they used to explain Allah's verses to people.
Thanks be to Allah.
We too, to you, you are witnesses. Allah is witness too. I always try to explain to you Allah's verses, which are the truth. I too tell you our Lord's verses exactly as they said them. Thanks be to my Lord. I feel so. Surely you feel so too. It does not matter that a person feels something. What matters greatly is how the other person values it. A person puts goods up for sale. It is not the value the man selling the goods sets on them, but the value those around him set on them that counts.
Yes. And Surah Al-An'am, verse 10, says: 'Messengers before you were mocked too, and so those who mocked them were surrounded by the punishment they mocked.' The prophets who came before Muhammad (peace be upon him) too, when they invited people to the one Allah, the people of disbelief belied the prophets. They insulted them. Insulted. But Allah's messengers and the prophets entrusted with the duty, at the cost of their lives, did not shy away from explaining the truth to people. Allah Almighty says in a verse that the prophets would approach their peoples from in front of them and from behind, from their right and from their left.
What does this mean? However much they insulted them, however much they mocked them, the prophets never shied away from explaining the truth to people. The reason: did they not have self-respect? Of course they did. They had. They are people created honorable. Honorable prophets. So why, with people who (?) them, do they still approach them? Because the prophets were kneaded with Allah's knowledge, their characters are very steady.
Being people of knowledge, they see how childish their people are. They do not take the words coming out of their mouths seriously. Just so that they find the truth. They explain. They see them as children. Children. If they had truly seen the truth, when those words of Allah that have no deficiency, those verses, were explained to those people, could those people have opposed him? But what do children who do not understand do? Spoiled ones, some spoiled children attack their father too. What does the father do? He pays no attention. So the prophets too, who were the elders of their people, who were in the position of father, paid no attention to their people's attacks on them.
Noah (peace be upon him) too lives among his people for 960 years and still, hoping they will believe in him, is patient. And finally he says, my Lord, You know, I have been overcome by them. Upon this Allah Almighty tells him to build a ship. He takes on board one pair of every kind, of every animal, and those who came to him, and drowns the others in the water. They say he lived 260 more years after Noah's flood, they say. What does that make? 960, plus 260, what does that make? It makes 1220 years. 60, 60, 120, 1100, 220. Some say he lived 240 more years, they say. 1200, Noah (peace be upon him) lived 1200 years.
And do you know what follows from this? You must be patient toward people (?). If we explain the truth, if we explain what is right, to wipe superstitions from people's heads, Allah Almighty says to you, be gentle with them. Approach them with a good opinion, He says. Approach them (?). Yes.
In the light of these verses, Allah Almighty increases the patience of those who are bound by the verses. Because, loving the truth, in order to explain the truth, to carry out our Lord's command, they pay no attention to those people's attacks. So 'Messengers before you were mocked too. And so those who mocked them were surrounded by the punishment they mocked,' He says.
The prophets who came before Muhammad (peace be upon him) too, when they invited people to the one Allah, the people of disbelief belied the prophets. They insulted them too. But Allah's messengers and the prophets entrusted with the duty, at the cost of their lives, with people, did not shy away from explaining the truth to people. As for those who persisted in their disbelief and mockery, when they also belied the miracles that came from Allah, Allah Almighty, as a result of the disbelief they wanted, surrounded them with punishment and destroyed them on the earth. Like the people of Lot, like the people of Thamud, and like the people of the Sabbath, many more peoples, because of the denial they committed in return for belying the truth, were destroyed by punishment.
Yes, by punishment. Allah Almighty, us, from falling into the condition of those people,
we find no remedy other than taking refuge in our Lord's mercy. Being destroyed while suffering punishment in this world means rescue through death. But since there is no death in the realm of the hereafter, buying the punishment of an eternal life is the punishment of punishments. So buying the punishment of the eternal realm is the punishment of punishments. In this world, even if a person dies between two millstones, even if he does not die at once, even if they kill him making him taste the pain millimeter by millimeter, even if, let's say, he moans under torture for days, for months, in the end, after a certain time, he will die.
He will die. When that person realizes there is no rescue for him, he will find the remedy in death. What will he say? I will die and be rescued. How much torture can they do, how can they do it? But in the realm of the hereafter. As far as Allah Almighty has made known to us, they will cry out there, destruction, where are you? That is, death, where are you? In the eternal abode of punishment where there is no death again, what will these people do? Is the pomp and splendor of this world worth it? Is it worth it, in this world, a person deifying his nafs and making it his passion to be a chief? Is it worth it, in this world, a person valuing that nafs he calls his honorable nafs and living in pride and arrogance?
Is it worth it, in this world, with the goods and property Allah Almighty gives people, boasting as if (?) his own? Is it worth it?
The heavens and the earth, the inheritance of what is between the two, He says, will remain to Allah. Every nafs shall taste death. The heavens and the earth, the inheritance of what is between the two, will remain to Allah. O man, use your mind a little.
How beautifully the man puts it: owner of goods, owner of property, where is its first owner? Goods are a lie, property is a lie too. Go on, amuse yourself a little too, he says. Yes, goods and property, in this outward world, buying and selling, trade, the dealings we make and our conversations are for us to prove what kind of person we are. I say: O man, do not forget that in this world you too make yourself a witness to those around you, to yourself and to Allah, and do not forget that in this world you are a traveler, that just as every nafs tastes death, one day we will give account in our Lord's presence at that Great Court; do not forget it.
Then how will we give account? Try not to do anything you cannot give account for. Yes, we are human. We follow our nafs. Knowingly or unknowingly, in some feelings of the nafs, we may commit sins. That is the human being; and Allah Almighty says so in a verse too. Whoever commits a sin, He says, and repents soon after, let Us accept his repentance, He says. And look what the Prophet says.
The best of you is the one whose anger passes quickly when he gets angry, he says. Whose anger passes quickly when he gets angry. And when you commit an evil, he says, right after it do a good deed, do a good deed. Let that good deed of yours, he says, take away that evil. So that before your Lord: yes, my nafs, (?), my Lord, I did this. But because I fear You, so that my evil may count for nothing in Your divine Essence, for Your (?), I did this good deed. So that you say this, and so that our Lord, for these good deeds of yours to weigh heavy on the scales, covers your evils with His attribute of al-Ghaffar.
Yes.
Being destroyed while suffering punishment in this world means rescue through death. But since there is no death in the realm of the hereafter, it is the punishment of an eternal life. Buying it is the punishment of punishments. May Allah protect the whole community of Muhammad from the endless, unending punishment of an eternal life. And may Allah reform those who deny Allah and the Last Day. Amen.
