Tafsir
O people! Obey Allah and His Messenger and beware of evil deeds. (What everyone earns is the recompense of his two hands) According to the verse, the one who obeys or disobeys is responsible for his own soul in the eyes of Allah (swt). A human being is a person who realizes his responsibility towards Allah, the Creator of himself and the worlds, and who attains Allah's mercy by avoiding evil, by reforming his soul on the path of being a servant of Allah, and by continuing his worship and devotion.
Allah (swt) constantly shows people the paths of guidance and commands them to do good and avoid evil. In this way, He grants the right to life to all His creatures and human beings. Whoever exceeds the limit is unjust to his own soul. In such cases, if people turn away from obeying Allah and His Messenger, they should know that the Prophet's duty is to make Allah's commands clear and make them known. The rebellion of the people and the evil that they have committed because of their rebellion against Allah and His Messenger cannot harm Allah. However, on the Day of Judgment, when they will be held to account before Allah, the Judge of Judges, in the Court-i Kübra, they will have been unjust to their own souls.
What is said in the video
Our daughter Selin says: we left off at verse 92 of Surah Al-Ma'idah. Yes.
Allah Almighty, who created this universe, (?), who wills that His Being be known, tells us in His verse: Obey Allah, obey the Messenger too, and beware of evil. If you turn away from obedience, know that Our Messenger's duty is to proclaim clearly and to make known. Allah Almighty, who created every human in the realm of Lahut, Allah Almighty, who created every human's soul in the realm of Lahut, who, in that address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, made a covenant with them, wrote the aims of people's wishes and desires for them as destiny and worked into them the characters that would live those destinies.
So Allah Almighty created mankind so that His Being would be known, and He without making any choice for him, without putting any pressure on him, without tormenting him, wanted man to know his Lord of his own wish, desire and will — that is what He wanted. What do you base this on? Hodja, how do we know this? From His giving partial will into man's hands. And these verses prove that this partial will is in man's hands. Fe men ya'mel miskale zerratin hayran yerah. Miskale zerratin hayran yerah: I will record it. The good deeds we have done with our partial will. Ve men ya'mel miskale zerratin şerran yerah.
Miskale zerratin şerran: I will record that too, He says. So He does not say: I made you do it. He does not impose His own will on man. Yes. Man will be called to account for the deeds he has done. There are many other verses about this too. Let me tell you one more. That day, He says, in that supreme court, so that no one (?) injustice, what everyone has earned (?) will always be given to them as their due, He says.
So the human who uses partial will, when left alone with his own will, will be called to account for the decisions he made. So, O man! Look what our Lord commands. Obey Allah, obey the Messenger too, and beware of evil. Not guarding yourself, what happens? Not guarding yourself, what happens? Every soul will taste death. And according to the verse (?). Those who rebel against Allah, in line with the verse, are there without anyone and alone; people who go to the hereafter without provision, deprived of our Lord's mercy, will leave their eternal life to hell, to punishment, exposed. Yes.
So: obey Allah. Obey His Messenger too. And beware of evil. If you turn away from obedience, know that Our Messenger's duty is to proclaim clearly and to make known. If you go against Allah and His Messenger, you will neither be able to reach Allah nor be able to harm the Messenger. So who is harmed? Just as sharp vinegar harms its own jar, you will harm your own self. Yes. Let's read it once more.
Obey Allah, obey the Messenger too. And beware of evil. If you turn away from obedience, know that Our Messenger's duty is to proclaim clearly and to make known. What else? You cannot force them. Why? About the verses. What does it say? My beloved, you cannot make the deaf hear. The deaf. You cannot make the dead hear, He says. Your duty is only to convey. Mercy is from Allah, He says. There are such verses. Yes. And since the Prophet (peace be upon him) would not speak idly, (?) in line with those verses. O people! Obey Allah and His Messenger and beware of evil. What everyone earns is the return of his two hands.
According to the verse, the one who obeys or does not, (?) Allah Almighty, toward his own self is responsible. Humans are those who, realizing their responsibility toward Allah, who created the worlds, guarding against evil, on the path of servanthood to Allah, reforming their selves, continuing in obedience and worship, attain Allah's mercy — such people. Yes, so man, as the most excellent of creation, is a being capable of grasping where he came from and where he is going. If, as Yusuf (r.a.) said, the one who cannot know where he came from and where he goes is an animal, and Allah Almighty too says in His verse that they are like four-legged beasts roaming the earth, then so as not to fall under this verse, people must think about where they came from and where they go and, using their minds as they should, obey their Lord.
Allah Almighty constantly shows people the paths of guidance and commands that they turn toward good and beware of evil. That is our Lord's duty. His mercy and compassion for the servants He created. So man, toward his Lord, that power too (?) that He created, man must reach the place he deserves.
Where is the place he deserves? His Lord's, our Lord's mercy. The place he deserves. Once we deserve our Lord's mercy, the paradises are at your command. The paradises. Allah Almighty promises so. Who is more faithful to his word than Allah, He says. So if you do what Allah says, Allah Almighty too says: We have had Our paradise prepared for the righteous servants, for those who obey Us, He says. Paradise. Then of those deprived of that obedience, those who turn their backs on Allah, who follow Satan's tracks, who run after the taghut, Allah Almighty says: they have wronged their own selves, gone bankrupt, ended up like a bankrupt merchant, and they have turned the abode of eternal bliss into an abode of eternal punishment, He says.
Yes, the life of this world to people seems (?) and base; man (?) to the world. For a short time. Then the place he goes is the abode of eternal suffering. Those who work for a short abode, a short worldly life, to enjoy themselves for a little while, people who, captive to their nafs, run after filth, who chase it, those who, behind the ones leading disbelief saying 'we are stars', stand — are nothing but fools who turn this short worldly life into an eternal dungeon, nothing else.
Why do you say so, Hodja? Look what Allah Almighty says. Do you not use your minds?
Do you not reflect? So whoever does not use his mind is a fool in My sight.
Using the mind is both worldly and otherworldly. The otherworldly kind: people who, within Allah Almighty's command, are covered and respect right and law, who are ruled by Allah's sharia rulings, who do what Allah Almighty says to do and keep away from what He forbids — those people. Intelligent people.
So the one who, while living this worldly life, knows his responsibility and builds up worldly life as he should within that responsibility, is the intelligent person. Otherwise, those who, only to build up worldly life, step outside Allah's commands and run after lust, those who without asking halal or haram gather, who busy themselves with interest — these people, and if perhaps with a trait Allah Almighty does not want they knead their own dough and pass on to the hereafter like this, pass on to the hereafter like this without repenting, then these, like a bankrupt merchant, are people who do wrong to their own selves.
So Allah Almighty, so that these people do not end up like a bankrupt merchant, so that they are not exposed to punishments in the hereafter, constantly shows them the truth and shows the paths of salvation. What does He say? Allah Almighty, constantly showing people the paths of guidance, commands that people turn toward good and beware of evil. In this way He has granted the right to life to all the people and creatures He created. Yes. If man recognizes and knows right and law — Allah Almighty, within their lifetimes, this, which does not harm him, in this universe, who created 17 thousand (?), and who created His creatures that complete one another so as to cleanse each other — Allah Almighty does not want lives taken unjustly.
Yes. And people who live Islam, people who live Islam's noble rulings, these people, because they are within Allah's commands, do not take lives unjustly. Even to an animal they do no evil. They do no wrong. Yes. In this way all creatures, people and His creatures, are granted the right to life. Whoever oversteps the bounds wrongs his own self. So in such cases, if people turn away from obeying Allah and His Messenger, they should have known that the Prophet's duty is to proclaim Allah's commands clearly and to make them known. Yes. The Prophet's duty is to proclaim the commands clearly.
He will do his duty. Why proclaim clearly? Because everyone, in that address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, when He said I am your Lord, made a covenant with Allah Almighty.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim zürriyyetehüm ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim elestü bi rabbiküm. We, from the children of Adam, from the children of Adam, with (?) made them witness against their own selves, and (?), He says. So if everyone's wish, desire and aim has been written for them as destiny, if Allah Almighty says in His verse, you cannot will unless We will, if no human is able to change his own destiny, and no one else is at all able to change his destiny, then for this reason Allah Almighty, (?) call anyone to account for a thing He has not announced, has only the enjoining of good carried out — so you can't say you didn't hear.
That is the Prophet's duty: enjoining good. He will proclaim. You won't be able to say you didn't hear. Today even at the poles there are people who know Islam. There are noble Companions buried there. Even at the poles. That is why man, created honorable, will use his mind. The obligation to obey Allah and His Messenger will arise. Why am I obliged? If you want mercy, if you flee from darkness, if you, in the highest paradise, in a way that (?) your self, with eternal peace want to live, if you want to get away from the fire of hell, you are obliged to obey Allah and His Messenger. When you step outside this, you wrong your own self.
You imprison yourself in hell, which is (?) eternal punishment. Now, are you obliged to obey Allah and His Messenger? Or are you not? Are you left to roam free in the world? Or are you not? Are you responsible in the world? Or not responsible? If you call yourself to account: such a yoke has been set on your neck. What yoke is this yoke? Hodja, the yoke of making Allah Almighty's Being known. The yoke of being a servant He created. The yoke that no one, man or jinn, can harm Him. The yoke of man having come to this world to prove what kind of person he is — that yoke. Then, according to the verse saying your return is to Us, in Allah Almighty's supreme court, in the presence of the Judge of judges, (?) give account.
Don't forget that you are under the yoke.
So try to live this worldly life using your mind. Yes. So in such cases, if people turn away from obeying Allah and His Messenger, they should know that the Prophet's duty is to proclaim Allah's commands clearly and to make them known. With the evils that people have committed through their rebellion against Allah and His Messenger, they cannot harm Allah. But on the Day of Judgment, in the supreme court, in the sight of Allah, the Judge of judges, when they are called to account, they will turn out to have wronged their own selves. Yes.
