While we are hoping for our Lord to include us with the salih ones, why shouldn’t we believe in Allah and the truth that came to us?
Tafsir
When Allah, who invites His beloved servants to His Presence, bestows upon us blessings and treats us with gifts beyond our reach, and desires us to take our place among the good, do we ever turn our backs on Allah, who is so kind and merciful, whose forgiveness and forgiveness is abundant? Allah (swt) supports His Messenger with Books and miracles and expects us to return to Him, but do we not return to Him and believe in Allah and the truth?
People who believe in Allah and His Messenger are the ones who send their provisions for the Hereafter while they are here on earth. They are the people who give to Allah's creation for Allah's sake and buy Paradise in return. These are the people who perfect their souls and compete in helping the servants of Allah for the sake of Allah. These are the people whom Allah means, those who stand on the side of Allah. These are the people whom he says will prevail.
Allah (swt) fulfills both the world and the Hereafter of such people. Allah does not need His servants. But every creature needs Allah. In this respect, since Allah is compassionate and merciful, the fact that He promises His servants positions that are beyond the reach of human beings when they return to Him shows that Allah is not in need of anything and that He is generous to His servants. O human being! One day the life of this world will come to an end, even with its pleasures. A wise person is one who thinks about today and tomorrow, who prepares accordingly, who sends things ahead of himself to wherever he is going, and who takes what he has sent ahead of him and does not remain there naked.
What is said in the video
Verse 84: 'While we hope that our Lord will admit us among the good, why should we not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us?' How beautiful! People's words, their feelings — how beautifully Allah Almighty tells us.
With bare reason these are read and passed over. With bare reason. But if people think a little about the verses, they truly have deep meanings. What does it say? 'While we hope that our Lord will admit us among the good, why should we not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us?' they say. That is, they say: O people, this worldly life will end one day. Every soul will one day taste death. In the face of such a truth, rather than, like people who carry the world on their backs and go bankrupt in the Hereafter, on the Day of Judgment, in the presence of Allah Almighty, with bowed heads and as sinners, remaining in eternal torment — to this world we have come for a test, and among those who pass this test in the best way why should we not enter, it says.
That is, those who know Allah Almighty Himself just as I see you and me. As I see you and me. Just as we see things with these eyes, our Lord in this way with certainty they know. Those who keep Him alive in their hearts. So, with these feelings, those people are actually stating the meaning of this verse. 'While we hope that our Lord will admit us among the good, why should we not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us?' Because they know that worldly life will end one day and that finally, in the presence of Allah Almighty, they will be called to account, in this way pleading to our Lord — and as examples to people too these verses are presented.
That Allah, who invites His beloved servants to His Being — the blessings we could not reach He offers and bestows on us, and He wishes us among the good to take our places — and would we ever turn our backs on such a compassionate and merciful, just and abundantly forgiving Allah, it says. Allah Almighty supports His Messenger with the book and with miracles, waits for us to return to His Being — and should we not, returning to His Being, believe in Allah and the truth, they say. So the people who believe in Allah and His Messenger are, while in the world, for themselves people who send their provisions ahead to the Hereafter.
In this world people go bankrupt materially.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) to them calls out like this in a hadith. The bankrupt of my community is the one who goes bankrupt in the world, he says. It is the one who goes bankrupt in the Hereafter, he says. The one bankrupt in the Hereafter. The blessings of the world are passing. Every soul will taste death. The inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah. So Allah, the owner of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, who created them from nothing, is the absolute ruler and owner of this dominion. We, however, are people who meet our needs from what He created, who are kept busy with those trusts, and who, within those trusts, (?) ourselves to our Lord.
Yes.
They are people who, giving charity for Allah's sake to the beings Allah created, in return buy Paradise. They, perfecting their nafs, compete in helping Allah's servants for Allah's sake — such people. These are the people about whom Allah, meaning them, says: those who take their place in Allah's ranks — they are the ones who will prevail. 'Will prevail' means they will be honored with Paradise, and these are people who do what their Lord says to do and do not do what He says not to do; since they are bound by their Lord's command — 'who is truer to his word than Allah' — according to that verse, Allah Almighty, over those who do not do these, will hold them superior. That is, over those who do not fulfill our Lord's command He will hold superior those who fulfill Allah's commands like this.
So they are the ones who prevail.
If Allah Almighty makes prosperous both the world and the Hereafter of such people. He gives to them both in the world and in the Hereafter. Yes. Allah has no need of His servants. But everything created needs Allah. For this reason, since Allah is compassionate and merciful, to His servants, for returning to His Being, His promising stations that people cannot reach — what is the station they cannot reach? Beneath which grounds flow, it says — gardens beneath which rivers flow. Ghilman whom no jinn has touched.
Mansions and palaces.
Young maidservants around them. Maidservants serving them drink. This drink, it says, does not take away a person's mind like the one in the world, it says. Yes. Places adorned with all kinds of fruit trees. Which of us could have such blessings in this world? Impossible. Even if you were a king, even a sultan, even if the world were yours, you would not find a (?) woman. Because Paradise passes through the human body. Within frequencies. Places beneath whose ground rivers flow — say, you may find (?) places. But with its fruit stretched out to you, eating from where you sit, possessing every blessing and feeling no fatigue within those blessings — you will not find that anywhere.
So places that people cannot reach or imagine, our Lord grants to people. Yes.
He makes prosperous. Allah has no need of His servants. Allah Almighty's attribute al-Hayy, that is, the one who gives life to His creatures — He gives life to His creatures, but He Himself has no need of His creatures. But everything created needs Allah. For this reason, since Allah is compassionate and merciful, His promising His servants, for returning to His Being, stations people cannot reach — that Allah needs nothing, how generous He is toward His servants, it shows. Yes.
O man! One day the life of this world, even with its pleasure and delight, will come to an end. A wise person is one who, thinking of tomorrow from today, prepares well for it, sends something ahead of himself to where he will go, and where he goes receives what he sent ahead for himself, and is not left stark naked there. Yes.
So a person should know that he is under Allah Almighty's mercy. Again, a person should know that his life will end one day. Again, a person, in this life, even if every kind of disaster, torment and suffering, or pleasure and delight befall him, should know that within these he is being tested. In any case he should surrender to his Lord who created him. He should know that his Lord, our Lord, cannot load on our backs a burden we cannot bear, will not load it, and in this world, whatever way it may be, the hardships he has met with, and again the pleasure and delight he has had — without looking at any of them, that his Lord has a test over him he knows; the one who surrenders to Allah and continues his life that way is the person who has prepared for the Hereafter in the best way and sent his provisions ahead — that is the person. Yes.
