Translation

“Allah is the One Who feeds and quenches my thurst.”

Tafsir

Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) continues to warn his people. O my people! It is He who feeds me. It is He who feeds and sustains His creatures. For Allah does not intend cruelty to His creatures. Allah is the Provider of all His creatures.

And can those whom you worship as gods provide your sustenance? Yet Allah created those whom you worship as gods.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, we have come to verse 79. It is He who created me and who guides me. Of course He created. Now, how I explained this part here a bit, I don't know. Let me broaden this for you. The Creator is Allah anyway. The Creator is Allah. It is Allah who created me, he says. Fine.

And it is He who guides, he says. If we open this up – before I open it, my picture is freezing here. It has started freezing often. Let it not distract me (?).

Yes.

Yes. It is He who created me and who guides me, he says. Let us open this up a bit. Allah Almighty was an unknown treasure. That is, a treasure of knowledge. He wished His Being to be known. He gave the Prophet from His light. Then, when He gave him from His spirit, in his spirit, as many prophets as would come to this world, He created their souls. The first created. And I will send you to your peoples as a messenger, as a great father. Do you accept? When He says this, they say: yes, we accept. According to those feelings and qualities of theirs, He gives them, as a treasure of knowledge, let me say, a character.

That is, they are now prophets. And when they come into the world, with those characters, in the world, without associating anything, any of Allah's creations, as a partner, they follow Allah directly. So in this case, they are in the state of a Hanif. Abraham, too, is a Hanif. That is, one who believes in nothing other than Allah, who believes only in Allah, yes, since his childhood. So, when he says "it is He who guides", His developing those feelings in the world, granting them to him, raising him according to his rank – that is His guiding him. Abraham (peace be upon him) continues to warn his people.

O my people, it is also He who feeds me and gives me drink. Indeed, He brought us into the world; whatever we need – if we are going to build a house, He put iron into the world. Let me say, He put mud for making bricks. Not every mud makes a brick. Let me say, He put cement, He put lime, He put gold, He put ores, and as food He put all the vegetables, He put the fruits. But just eat, He said, that is. Eat. Nourish yourselves. But when you eat what you eat, see the One who gives it, He said. Yes. So, let me say, O people, it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. It is He who feeds His creatures too and gives them drink.

Because Allah does not will injustice for His creatures. Allah is the one who gives all the provision of His creatures. So can those you worship as a god give you your provision? Yet those you worship as a god were also created by Allah. Yet those you worship as a god too were created by Allah Almighty, our Lord, the Owner of the worlds.
