Translation

“Allah is the One Who cures me when I become sick.”

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has created living beings. He has assigned a certain lifespan to each living thing. Microbes are also soldiers of Allah. Allah releases these germs to those who ask Him. As Allah tests people with their lives and property in a trial, He gives some of them diseases. He holds them as witnesses against their own souls. It is Allah who also created germs and makes people witness against their own souls with diseases.

In this case, the person bears witness to Allah, to himself and to his surroundings with the fate he will experience in his lifetime. It is by Allah, the Creator of mankind, that he lives until the end of his life and that he is both sick and healed by his Lord.

What is said in the video

In Surah Ash-Shu'ara, to verse 80 we have come. When I fall ill, it is He who heals me. Indeed, a person falls ill in the world. Where do all medicines come from? From the plants in nature that Allah Almighty created, or from His creatures. In this case, we again take healing from what Allah Almighty has created. If we have more life to live, if people have not found the cure for that disease and a person falls ill, then Allah Almighty says: for the healing for which the doctors found no remedy, take refuge in Allah Almighty, recite over yourselves. If I am to recover, we find healing through that recitation.

That is what Abraham, too, wants to say. It is my Lord who heals me, he says. Allah Almighty created living beings. He has appointed a set lifespan for each living being. Germs, too, are Allah's soldiers. That is what Allah Almighty says. Germs are My soldiers, He says. They translated that wrongly too. I send them upon whom I will, He says. Whereas He sends them upon the one who wishes. Yes. He sends these germs upon whoever asks Allah for them. And would a person wish to fall ill? Look, now we are explaining it here. On whoever asks Allah – that is, whoever asks for germs – Allah Almighty sends germs.

And does a person want illness? Well, if you open it up, what does it say? Do not gamble, it says. Do you play? Do you get excited in gambling? Are you carried away by (?)? Do you fall into sorrow? Let me say, do not drink alcohol, it says. Do you drink alcohol? Let me say, do not commit fornication, it says. Do you get up together with that filth? Well, did you get the germs from here? Did Allah send them to you? Yes, germs, too, are Allah's soldiers; upon whoever asks Allah, these germs He sends; since, in a test, Allah tests people with their lives and their property, He gives illnesses to some; to some Allah Almighty, since He tests them, may give illness; He makes them witnesses against their own selves. So the one who creates the germs too and makes people witnesses against their own selves through illnesses is Allah.

In this case, for as long as a person lives within their lifespan, they make themselves a witness before Allah, themselves and those around them. Their continuing to live until the end of their life, and within this life both falling ill and being brought to healing by their Lord, comes from Allah, who creates people.
