Translation

“Allah is the One Who will take my life and then resurrect me.”

Tafsir

Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. According to the verse (hüvel evvelu wal ahiru wazzahiru wal batın), Allah is the first, the last, the zahir and the west. Accordingly, Allah is the one who created the universe out of nothing. Allah has created both death and life so that one day He may destroy His creation.

Accordingly, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) continues to warn his people. He informs them that the idols they worshipped were not even aware of themselves, but that Allah is eternal, that He will make His creatures taste death one day, that He will resurrect people in the Hereafter after the Resurrection, that He will then hold people to account for what they have done in the realm of property, and that He will either reward or punish people for what they have done. This is because Allah is the absolute power and the absolute judge. He is victorious over everything. He is sovereign in His sovereignty. Allah is omnipotent.

Behold, O my people! When you worship what you have made with your hands, when you have been unjust to your souls, fear the Day when you will be called to account, and serve Allah. Since there is no other God but Allah, abandon these idols that you worship.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, we have come to verse 81. The one who will take my life and then bring me back to life is He, he says. Yes, Allah Almighty says: We will resurrect you two times. We will make you die twice. The spirit, the nafs and life are separate. To give us our outward appearance in the world in bodies of flesh, Allah Almighty, in this garment of the body, wrapped us. This garment of our body, our garment, is our car. (?) It is our spirit that drives it. We cannot see it. But our body, let me say, gives us our appearance in the world to these eyes, to the outward eyes, and after our death He will resurrect us again in the Hereafter; after holding them as witnesses against our spirit, a second time there our bodies will die.

Even professors cannot believe this, cannot figure it out. So, I say, you describe the two deaths to me, I say. He stops, he is baffled. These are professors; I have come across them.

Those with me are also witnesses to such people. Yes, the one who will take my life and then bring me back to life is He, he says. It is Allah Almighty who created the heavens and the earth and what is between these two. Allah – according to the verse, He is the First; that is, when we say First: before the worlds were created He subsisted by His own Being. The Last: after all the worlds have perished, His Being alone will remain. The Manifest: having created these worlds visible to the eye, their Owner; the Hidden: the Owner of the essential worlds, the true worlds, of Paradise, of Hell, of the realm of the Hereafter.

Allah Almighty. Yes.

Accordingly, Allah is the one who brings the universe into being from nothing. So that He may one day bring His creations to an end, Allah has created both death and life. Accordingly, Abraham (peace be upon him) continues to warn his people. He tells them that the idols they worship are not even aware of themselves, but that Allah, being Everlasting, will one day make His creations taste death; that after the Day of Judgment He will resurrect people again in the realm of the Hereafter; that then for what people did in the realm of Mulk He will call them to account; that, in return for what they did, He will either reward or punish people.

Because Allah is absolute power and the absolute ruler. He prevails over everything. In His rule He is the sovereign. Allah has power over all things. So, O my people, when you worship what you have made with your own hands, when you wrong your own selves – the day on which you will one day be called to account, fear that day, and be servants of Allah. Since there is no other god besides Allah, abandon these idols of yours that you worship, he says. Yes.
