Translation

“Verily, even if you extend your hand to kill me, I will not extend my hand to kill you. I fear Allah who is the Lord of all worlds.”

Tafsir

Abel continued his speech and said to his brother, "If you reach out your hand to kill me, I will not raise my hand to kill you, because I fear Allah, the owner of the worlds. No human being is authorized to take the life of another human being, to kill him unjustly. Whoever kills a human being unjustly, it is as if he has killed all souls. Such people are the ones who wrong their own souls and will be disappointed in the Hereafter. Their regrets will not benefit them in the Hereafter.

Abel's love for Allah and his respect and submission to his brother, who was one year older than him, is like Hazrat Ismail's submission to his father, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him). These will be remembered as long as the worlds endure for the respect and submission they showed to their elders out of love for Allah. Allah has set them as a good example for mankind. This is the ethics of Islam. This is obedience and submission in Islam.

What is said in the video

In verse 28 of Surah Al-Ma'idah Abel says to his older brother: I swear, even if you stretch out your hand against me to kill me, I am not going to stretch out my hand against you to kill you; I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds, he says. Look at his respect for his older brother, even though he is only one year older, for his elder brother, and look at his fear of our Lord, so as not to wrong him. And Cain is in a position to kill Cain in an instant, but look at his obedience. Look. At his love towards the world and at his fear of Allah. Abel, continuing, said to his brother: even if you stretch out your hand to kill me, I will not even raise my hand to kill you.

Because I fear Allah, the Owner of the worlds, he said. No human being is entitled to take a human being's life, to kill him unjustly. Unjustly. What does Allah Almighty say? Whoever saves one life is as if he saved all lives. Whoever kills one life is as if he killed all lives. Yes. No one, no — no one, no one is authorised by Allah to kill anyone unjustly. Yes. Whoever kills a person unjustly is as if he killed all lives. Such people are those who wrong their own souls and are losers in the hereafter. Yes. Their regret in the hereafter will be of no benefit to them. Because he came into the world, he took his test, he proved what kind of person he is.

When he goes to the hereafter, regret is of no use there. Yes. Abel's love for Allah, his respect for his brother one year older than him, and his not overstepping the bounds in fault, is like Ishmael's submission to his father Abraham (peace be upon him). Because of the respect and submission they showed their elders out of love for Allah, they will be remembered as long as the worlds endure.

What a beautiful example these are for us, what a beautiful example. But now the young do not recognise the old, and especially in the family, respect and regard for mother and father have disappeared. The father, too, has come to the point where his child won't listen to him. Normal. For that father, that mother, that child to be heeded — normal. How is it normal? He sits together with his child and watches television together, watches belly dancers, watches people making love, watches people kissing — then of course that child won't respect that father. (?) The veins of modesty have been torn.

Yes, these are the beautiful sides of being Muslim. These. The Germans are researching Muslims' children's obedience towards their elders. Islam's beautiful side they still cannot understand.

Muslims do not know it either. Those who are a bit well-mannered and courteous, those who are well-mannered and courteous, with their children hardly watch films like these, or television. And because the children are almost shy of their fathers, they listen to them with love, with respect, well. Of course not always. Because he has his faults too. The child sees those faults too. He takes it in that way. Had they known these subtleties in the religion of Islam, such immoral things, those elders, preventing them — for example, there are some parental locks on televisions. They block some unwanted things.

Pardon? So, as far as the religion of Islam can, being able to put this much restriction on televisions.

Those at the top — if it were up to these people, they would open it all up and show it to people. This way we protect ourselves as much as you can be protected. But my advice to people is this. Do not watch such immoral films, such immoral scenes in front of your children. Those children will have no love or respect left for you. Manners and courtesy, the veins of modesty are torn. In that case, too, peace remains in the family, and towards each other a state of great smallness remains. Allah protect us. Guard yourselves against these. Guard yourselves against such things. Yes.

Sometimes when we too are watching documentaries and so on — I love documentaries very much, the animals' worlds, their lives, we take lessons from them. Sometimes between the adverts they show certain things. I immediately feel ashamed before my wife and switch it off at once. And in this way, my wife's respect and love for me. Of course, if you are well-mannered, she won't break her manners either. When a person looks in the mirror, he sees himself. That's how it is. If those children don't respect you, look for the fault in yourselves. The fault lies with the elders.

Yes.

Allah Almighty has shown these to people as a beautiful example. This is what Islamic morality is. Islamic morality. This is what obedience and submission in Islam is too. So let us (?) that sentence again, this paragraph again from the start. Abel's love for Allah, his respect for his brother one year older than him, and in fault, so as not to overstep the bounds — is like the submission of Ishmael to his father Abraham, Abraham (peace be upon him). Because of the respect and submission they showed their elders out of love for Allah, they will be remembered as long as the worlds endure. Allah has shown these to people as a beautiful example.

This is what Islamic morality is. This is what obedience and submission in Islam is too.

As I just explained to you, that subtle side — here to explain everything is not possible. Pages would fill up. Well, but the real main root of this, where — for the one who uses his mind, it is grasping what is being told. Yes.
