Translation

And those who disbelieve and deny Our verses, they are the dwellers of the hell.

Tafsir

Even though Allah (swt) has made His Wahdat, i.e. that there is only one God, that there is no other Creator and Deity but Him, that He is the Owner and Creator of the worlds, and that He is the Ruler of all beings, and that He has made His presence known publicly to people, yet people still rebel against Allah (swt), do not recognize the Prophet and the Book, and do not follow Allah's commands, these people feel irresponsible while they are living the life that Allah (swt) has given them on earth, and violate the Merciful attribute of Allah (swt). They also turn their backs on the attribute of Rahim, which they will need in the Hereafter. At the end of their lives, when the truth is laid out before their eyes, when they are shown their place in the hereafter, when they will be held to account for what they have done on that day of reckoning, regrets will be useless.

Because these people have hard hearts, they do not recognize anyone for the sake of worldly goods, and they pursue wealth and selfishness. They are people who pursue all kinds of evil. These are the people who do not listen to the advice that Allah has given them and who disobey Allah. Their place is Hell. What an evil place of return!

What is said in the video

Yes, in verse 10: as for those who disbelieve and deny Our verses, they are the people of Hell, the people of Hell.

Our Lord says everything openly. Clearly. And we, as far as we can, try to explain the verses of Allah Almighty to you in the most beautiful way.

Allah Almighty sends the prophets He sent within their own peoples, with their own languages. With their own languages. Yes, this is the verse. We sent to those peoples prophets who addressed them in their own languages, it says. In their own languages.

So in this case man, man will obey those prophets our Lord sent, those books He sent; and since after Muhammad (peace be upon him) no prophet will come again, he will also obey the scholars Allah Almighty has raised. What do these say? What does this person say? Yes. They will obey them. And those scholars, the verses of our Lord in their own spoken language, to those people, show the ways of Allah. The beings that will deceive people and set traps before them, they show to those people. What is it? The one who will set traps before people is Satan. What else? The one who will set traps before people is his nafs.

What else will set traps before people? The alluring appearance of the world. Well, Hodja, how will we be saved from these? In place of this, in place of Satan, does Allah Almighty grant you inspiration? Inspiration. Most people do not know inspiration, it says, doesn't it?

Sir, He also gives you faith. Faith. He also gives you the gift of intellect. Against three enemies, three friends. Aduvvallahi ve aduvveküm. Your enemies are also Allah's enemies, it says. Yes. In this case, looking for Allah's enemy to the right and left: one looks for it in oneself. Your nafs is an enemy, Satan is an enemy, the world is an enemy. Yes. If you make friends with these enemies, you will have taken your place beside people who cross the limits Allah does not want, and, may Allah protect us, you will have taken the road to eternal Hell. But if you are with the friends Allah has given man, faith, inspiration, the angel, if you listen to it, and also with the intellect, if you use your intellect, you will have taken your place in your Lord's ranks.

Against the temptation Satan gives, the angel of inspiration tells you its opposite. For example, you are going to help a poor person. Satan tempts you. Because you are going to earn reward, you see. He has hands and feet too. Let him work, he says. Don't get them used to such behaviour, he says. Inspiration tells you, that angel tells you, that angel of inspiration in your heart, that light: if this person were not in need, he would come among these people and could not (?) you to ask for his need. If you say 'If I don't help this one, whom will I help and (?)', and stand against Satan's temptation.

If the world appeared alluring to you and, to get it, you resort to devious ways, what will faith tell you? It will say: these are sins, think of Allah's verses. Your intellect will be the judge over such actions and will show you the best and right. The intellect: if you abandon the intellect, abandon faith, and abandon inspiration too, then on earth you live as the lowest of the low.

Hodja, isn't this word harsh? I'm not saying it, Allah is saying it: they live as the lowest of the low. What does it say in the verse? Might and honour are with Allah, it says. If might and honour are with Allah, whoever takes a place in Allah's ranks becomes mighty and honourable. So do not look for might and honour among those who leave Allah's ranks. Am I saying this? Allah is saying it, the One who created us is saying it. So let what I say not seem harsh. If we listen to the words of our Lord and we too are governed by Allah's verses, we will depart with might and honour.

Yes, we too were created honourable; we are the most excellent of created beings. In this respect we will try to be a servant worthy of our Lord. We will try to accord with His purpose in creating us, so that our Lord forgives us and, under the mercy of Allah Almighty, within this short life of ours, when we pass to the Hereafter, Allah's promise is true; that is victory. Not even victory: may we attain His Paradises. Otherwise our situation is very bad.

If, like this, in our minds, (?) in our minds, and within the feelings of the nafs, unaware of Allah's verses, without putting them before us, without listening to those verses, we act, every step we take is more or less wrong. And with every step we take, restlessness does not let go of us. Yes. What does it say? As for those who disbelieve and deny Our verses, they are the people of Hell.

Even though Allah Almighty makes people openly feel His oneness, that is, that He is the one God, that there is no other creator, no other maker and god besides Him, that He is the owner and creator of the worlds, holding all beings under His rule, being outwardly manifest in manifestations, His existence, if people still rebel against Allah, do not recognise prophet and book, do not keep Allah's commands, this person on earth, while living the life Allah has granted him, feels as if he were not responsible and, as if not responsible, benefits from Allah's attribute of Rahman. From the attribute of Rahman. What does it say?

My mercy is for everyone in the universe, you see. But since in the Hereafter he cannot benefit from His attribute of Rahman, since 'My mercy is for everyone in the universe, in the Hereafter only (?) the believers', you know, there they are alone and without anyone, it says. So because in this life of theirs they benefit from the attribute of mercy of the Rahman, they think life will always flow like this, and with (?) of Satan and his nafs he spends his life like this in vain. And when he passes to the Hereafter like that, he becomes like a bankrupt merchant.

Yes, a bankrupt merchant is better off than him. Because he went bankrupt in the world. He earns again, works again and earns. He works again and earns; he has a life ahead of him. But that bankrupt person, in the world of the Hereafter from which there is no return, since he will (?) to the world, he will have wasted his own (?).

But if, in the world of the Hereafter, he turns his back on the attribute of Rahim that he will need, at the end of his life, when the truth is laid before his eyes, when his place in the world of the Hereafter, from which there is no return, is shown to him, but what do the meanings of the verses we discussed say? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. When the soul reaches the throat, come on, it says, turn it back then. All his relatives, it says, have gathered around him. (?) at his soul's departure. To him, it says, in Our power, are you nearer, or We? Yes. Look, what it says now in verse 83, 83. verse. At that moment We are nearer to him than you, but you cannot see, it says.

Since you supposedly will not be punished, since you supposedly will not be punished, turn his soul back then, if you are truthful in your claim, it says.

Fe emmâ in kâne mine'l-mukarrabîn. But if the one who dies is among those near to Allah, for him there is ease, good provision and the Paradise of bliss, it says. Allah Almighty. Yes.

So do not be deceived by the pompous life of this transient world, its splendid living, its rose-tinted appearance. There are always traps before us. These traps: to catch (?) mice or some animals, they set traps. They put bait inside. And when that animal goes in to eat it, it is caught in the trap.

The world, Satan, and the nafs are a trap and a snare for man. Never be deceived by this trap and be dragged after it.

For these, it says, their regret there will be of no use. But if he turns his back on the attribute of Rahim that he will need in the world of the Hereafter, at the end of his life, when the truth is laid before his eyes, when the door of repentance closes and Allah Almighty shows those worlds to the one who dies, when his place in the world of the Hereafter from which there is no return is shown to him, when repentance is not accepted and he is called to account for what he did, regret is of no use. That person's regret is of no use. Why? Since our Lord is so full of mercy and forgives so many sins, why, after this person has seen these truths, does He no longer forgive this person?

Didn't He want people to come to their senses? And man came to his senses. These events ended (?). That is, when our spirits were created by Allah Almighty, when Allah Almighty said 'I am your Lord', there, by those people's knowing or not knowing Allah, by the words they gave to Allah Almighty within their own will, they had themselves programmed by Allah Almighty. Within those programs Allah Almighty placed characters in them. Those characters will never change again, for eternity. Even if they see the truth of that world of the Hereafter, they are words they say falsely, without believing, without faith.

If only, our Lord says, they had known Us. Look at His mercy. If only they had known. Does He not know that he will not know his Lord? Again the worlds will be closed to him. Again he will do his work here as he wishes. Well then, what if He changed their characters? Can He not change them? Allah, this Creator, changes them, of course. Then why does He not change them? What did we say: a word has come from Us. Paradise and Hell, it says. The good and the bad, within their own will, I will send to the places of their desires and wishes, He says. And I will create a being who will walk (?) Me by his own will, He says.

Yes. So as human beings, without anyone pressuring us, without forcing us, within our own will, with our own free thinking, we submitted to our Lord. We put our trust in Him. That is why, does Allah Almighty hold the one who clings to Him with faith like this equal to the faithless one who denies Allah? Are those who know and those who do not know ever equal? He says. Allah Almighty. He is the possessor of justice. So if, so that people do not go to the place where they will see that torment, He calls out before them in the world with His verses, if He raises us here from zero, equally, under the same conditions, and lets us live, here, those who know and those who do not know, like seeds sown in a field, fertile and infertile; that is, with a fertile seed growing against an infertile seed that grows rotten and useless, is a fertile seed the same?

Is it? One becomes fodder for animals, the other is distributed to people as provision. So people too, those who gave Allah Almighty a promise and those who did not, are they equal like this? Are those who know and those who do not know equal, says Allah Almighty. And He will judge between us with His justice. So these people are people whose hearts are hard, who pursue (?) and ego disputes, who recognise no one for worldly goods, who go after every kind of evil. These are people who did not listen to the counsel Allah gave them and opposed Allah. Their place is Hell; what an evil place of return that is, we said. Yes, so just as Allah Almighty with His verses before us, O people!

Look, your Lord is one, it says; there is no god but Allah, it says. I am the absolute owner and ruler of these worlds, it says. And every soul shall taste death, and finally your return is to Me, it says. In this transient world of possession, never (?) your pleasure and forget Me, it says. Do not be ungrateful for the blessings I gave, know Me as the one God, do not associate partners with Me, it says. What do His scholars say? Yes, Allah's commands are the truth, they say. Allah has poured His life-giving words into people's hands. O people, you too be governed by these verses, it says. His scholars say it too.

Never turn your back on Allah's verses. Because nothing comes about (?).

Within so much knowledge, within so many (?) subjects, there are sides of man's secrets that have not been solved. There are sides of the worlds' secrets that have not been solved. Just think: nothing comes about by itself, by itself, and it is also not possible for it to run its course in order and harmony by itself. So look: everything is equipped with knowledge. First of all the earth, the sky and the sun. These: beyond any human power, the lunar system being placed in the sky, people determining their days according to the Hijri calendar, the earth turning on its own axis in 24 hours and covering 40,000 kilometres, at the same time, facing the sun, besides turning around the sun's own axis, the seasons coming to the earth, that is, appearing; these are not things that could happen because (?).

Just look at man: within the seasons there are foods the human body needs. He has said: within the seasons, according to the energy the human body has spent, according to its need, there are foods it will take. According to the seasons Allah Almighty brings forth fruits and vegetables. Those fruits and those vegetables produce the foods the person in that season will need. And they keep a person's life vigorous and ensure he lives in health. Pay attention to these too. Everything is equipped with knowledge, knowledge, knowledge. In this case, nothing of these coming together side by side by chance and these worlds running their course is possible.

So there is a Creator; this proves it. Even though this eye of yours does not see it, before your eyes, outwardly, manifest before you is spread out Allah's existence, it says. And if (?), before your eyes, He makes His existence manifest, how can you, towards such a Creator of yours, turn your back, how can you deny, or how can you not listen to His command; what kind of result is this, what kind of pride and arrogance has deified your nafs and steered you onto that road to Hell? What will Allah do? So man will be intelligent. He will use his intellect. His intellect. Yes.
