Translation

Because they have not kept their promises, their hearts have hardened, and due to that We have cursed them. They change the places of verses (alter their Books) and forgot an important part of the laws (from the Torah) that was taught to them. With the exception of a few among them, you will always see treachery from them. But forgive them and do not mind them. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who commit good deeds.

Tafsir

The Jewish people were cursed by Allah because of their disobedience to Allah's commands. Therefore their hearts are hardened. In the hundred and fifty-fifth verse of Surah Al-Nisaa, it is stated that (We cursed them) because they disbelieved (in Allah), made covenants, denied the Verses of Allah, killed the Prophets unjustly, and said, "Our hearts are hardened" (so they suffered many calamities, and their hearts are not hardened). On the contrary, they have made Allah seal their hearts with a seal because of their disbelief, and they do not believe, except a few of them who have made a good covenant.

They change the words in their Book, they distort their Book. They do not know the Torah by heart anyway. The Torah was only one copy. When the Children of Israel were captured by the Babylonians, the copy of the Torah was lost. Years later, when the Israelites were freed from captivity, they rewrote some of the parts they remembered. The Torah they have today is written with these incomplete chapters and partly with the life of Moses.

Except for a few among them, the others are in a state of perpetual treachery. Despite this, Allah (swt) declares that His attribute of Mercy extends to everyone in the universe and says, "Forgive for the sake of Allah those who do evil and treacherous to you in the earth. It may be that they will come to their senses and your rank in the sight of Allah will increase in reward. And if you continue in the way of doing good, Allah will make you an example for mankind, and He will grant you Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Because Allah loves those who do good.

What is said in the video

We will try to explain. We cursed them because they broke their promises. Here too it was wrongly explained, I suppose.

They cannot break their promises. There is probably a mistake here too. Yes, it was wrong. What does it say? Because they did not keep My word, their hearts hardened. In that case We cursed them, it says. Because they did not keep their promises, in other words, because they broke their promises. They cannot break their promises. If I gave my covenant and yet I am breaking my word, then our Lord, my characteristics, within my wishes and desires, could not work. I rose above Him and broke my word: that is what it would mean. Then: "if only You had properly, according to my mind, worked my characteristics, then it would be fine." Here Allah is given attributes.

Their breaking their promises. They did not break their promises. What do we say? Because they did not keep My word. That is, because they did not carry out Allah Almighty's command, their hearts hardened. Look. How backwards the verses are explained.

Their promises, their breaking their promises (?) inviting them and their hearts have hardened. They change words, the places of words; their books they distort. Of the rulings taught to them, that is, of the Torah, they forgot an important part. Except a few of them, you always see treachery from them. Isn't that how it is on earth today? Constant strife, the strife of the earth. Stirring things up all the time. Yes, still, pardon them and pay no heed. Indeed, Allah loves those who do good. Yes. The Jewish people, because they did not listen to Allah's commands, not because they broke their promises, but because they did not listen, Allah cursed them.

For this reason their hearts hardened. In Surah An-Nisa, verse 155: because of their going back on their promises, denying Allah's verses, killing the prophets unjustly, and saying "our hearts are wrapped, have been wrapped", We cursed them. Their hearts are not wrapped. Quite the opposite: because of their disbelief they caused Allah to set a seal upon their hearts. Yes.

They change the places of the words in their books. That is, the rulings, for material gain, Allah's verses, they changed.

They put in the part that suited their own minds and their own interests, and by saying Allah said so, they slandered Allah.

They change the places of the words in the books. They distort their books. Besides, they do not even know the Torah by heart. Yes. The Torah was only one copy. One copy. When the Children of Israel were taken captive by the Babylonians, the copy of the Torah was lost. Years later, when the Children of Israel were freed from captivity, some parts that remained in their memory they wrote down again. The Torah in their hands today is written with these incomplete parts, and in (?) the life of Moses is written in them.

Except a few of them, the others are constantly in treachery. Even though they are like this, Allah Almighty, that His attribute Rahman in the universe is (?) to everyone, making it known, says: those on earth who do evil and treachery, still forgive them for Allah's sake. Why forgive? Because every nafs came here to prove what kind of person it is. Each nafs, within its set lifespan, will make itself witnessed to itself, to those around and to Allah. With what? With the deeds it will do. If you continue on the path of doing good, and if people continue on the path of doing good, Allah will show you to people as examples, and gardens beneath which rivers flow He will grant you.

Because Allah loves those who do good. Yes, in this case...
