Al-Ma'idah 8: Oh you believers! Keep justice firmly for Allah’s sake and be witnesses who act justly. The animosity you feel against a group should not lead you to act unjustly. Be just. This befits better to those who fear and abstain (from committing sins) from Allah. Allah is aware of all that you do with truth.

Tafsir
O you who believe! Stand up for the truth for the sake of Allah, submitting to Allah's commands. See your affairs with justice. Do not go beyond Allah's justice and follow your ego and be unjust to Allah's creatures. Do not refrain from bearing witness against the oppressed. Eliminate sedition and injustice on the earth so that you can get along with people as brothers and sisters and live peacefully for the rest of your lives. If people rule with justice, these beings created by Allah will come to life in order and harmony.
Do not let your hatred for a community drive you to injustice against that community. Be forgiving of people. Do not insult them for their mistakes. Every human being is surely wrong. If you bear grudges and hatred against people because of their mistakes, and you have behaviors and mistakes that they do not like, and they bear grudges and hatred against you, you will lose the taste of life and become restless. For those who love Allah for Allah's sake and obey His commands, it is befitting for the owners of piety to forgive people. Even though retaliation is practiced, forgiveness increases a person's value in the eyes of Allah.
Allah (swt) knows all that people do. Allah is well acquainted with those who forgive Allah's servants for the sake of Allah and expect their reward from Allah, and those who act out of their own selfish motives and with what intention they are acting.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 8: O you who believe! Uphold the right for Allah's sake, it says. How beautifully it says it. Uphold the right for Allah's sake. Why did I create these worlds? I created them for you. For you. If you live in this world in strife and wickedness, in rebellion, if you do not respect each other's rights and laws, if you drown the earth in (?), the purpose for which We created you disappears, it says. That is why those who (?) the earth and those who do not listen to Allah's commands, Allah Almighty destroyed them and cut off their lineage. He cut it off, but with their lineage cut off, the lineage of the spirits created by Allah Almighty and raised to the world of barzakh did not end.
What does it say? You too, it says, if you go astray, We will destroy you too and in your place, it says, We are able to bring a new people. Of course, why? The spirits He created earlier are waiting in barzakh. They will come. The world too is programmed like that. Yes. Until, in that world of barzakh, the spirits He created, I mean the spirits He created in the world of spirits He raises to barzakh, doesn't He; until the spirits in that world of barzakh run out, the world will live on. And when the last spirit also comes from there to the world, when there is no spirit left to come from there to the world, that is, when there is none left of what we will call man, then the Last Day will break.
And how long people will then lie under the earth, Allah knows. Its knowledge belongs to Allah alone. So: O you who believe, uphold the right for Allah's sake, it says. That is, be upright, be honest, do not deceive one another, live in an atmosphere of brotherhood, be people who bear witness with justice. Never, for worldly goods, for a few pennies, by wronging someone else, turn a blind eye to the injustice done to another, nor show him as being in the right, it says. Let not the hatred you feel for a people drive you to act unjustly, it says. Now let's say I am angry with side A. I am angry with side A.
Side B is doing wrong, but side A is in the right. Because I am unfair to side A, if in a testimony my testimony is also required, and because I am angry with side A I testify for side B, testify in his favour, I will have wronged my own nafs. There I will immediately think this: These are Allah's servants. Even though I am angry with side A, he wronged me, he acted from his nafs; if I now say let me take this pain out on them, I myself will have committed injustice. We will think this there: every person makes mistakes. According to the verse: if you had not committed mistakes, Allah Almighty says, We would destroy you and create on earth servants who commit mistakes.
What shall we say? Every person makes mistakes. He did such a wrong against me. In his own nafs he saw himself as right. He may do so. Or knowingly, out of inner love of the world, he did this wrong to me. He may do so. His degree is only that much. He will give account of it to Allah Almighty tomorrow on the Day of Judgement. But what if I now, although this one is in the right, put him in the wrong, and show the wrong one as right and have the right in his hand given to the person in the wrong? I take my nafs's revenge, but in Allah's sight I become one who took revenge for his nafs. Now I remain (?).
There I am committing injustice. So it says to you: because of your hatred towards a people, it says, never commit injustice, says Allah Almighty. Be just, it says, just. Speak the truth everywhere. This is conduct that better befits the people of taqwa, with the fear of Allah. To judge by these verses I have told you, being governed by these verses, to think this way, and by thinking this way you spread right and justice behind you, so that the person who is your enemy, who wronged you, comes to you and apologises. 'I wronged you, I violated your right, forgive me your right, take back this property of yours.' He says this, if you behave like this, if you do so, if you carry out Allah's justice. But what do you do?
If you say 'he did this to me, let me do the same to him, let me take my revenge', you both become a sinner in Allah's sight, and that person says: 'How good that I did this to him, I wish I had done worse.' (?) the evil of man. Look how just Allah's verses are, how life-giving to man, how much they bind people to one another, and because Allah loves His servants so much, since He knows their characters, our Lord is the one who (?). Yes.
Allah fully knows what you do, it says. At the end of the verse. O you who believe! For Allah's sake, submit to Allah's commands and uphold the right. Uphold the right. Conduct your affairs with justice. Do whatever you will do. I have a character. If I did something wrong, which, God willing, does not happen anyway, but if I did, and if what I did harmed a person and I have realised it, I go to that person. Do it even if he is not aware. 'I told you this and that at the time. And you listened to me, or, listened or did not listen, within your own destiny, even if you did not understand what I said, because you did this thing in this direction, I have done you an injustice here, you have a right over me, forgive me your right', I make peace, I make peace with him, I win his heart.
That is what it is anyway; that is what a human is anyway.
Opening up Allah's justice, do not follow your nafs and be oppressive towards Allah's creatures. Do not hold back from helping the oppressed, from bearing witness. Because he is oppressed. Oppressed, but rightfully oppressed, of course. We use 'oppressed' a lot here. Someone in the right. Here he has suffered harm. And you are a witness to it. Back in the day, when I was serving in Diyarbakır, the son of someone I knew very well was a judge there. Right before his eyes they shoot a man. This judge is a witness (?). In the case it comes to the judge, it comes to him. It comes to this judge.
Since the shooter is an agha, the agha has his worker, those who obey them, testify 'I killed him', he makes them do it.
And witnesses come saying that he did the killing.
The agha, of course, is cleared here. The judge knows this too. Against their testimonies, however much he resists, any evidence in his hand to confirm him (?), since there is no evidence, and since he is in the position of judge, since this incident happened before his eyes, and within this incident the real culprit slipping away with false witnesses in the role of the innocent, and the others, for money, out of fear of the agha, taking the crime upon themselves and going to prison, he does not turn a blind eye to it; he breaks his pen there, resigns from being a judge and leaves. So: uphold the right for Allah's sake.
Is there another brave man like that? But he was a brave man. He resigns from being a judge. That is how a person should be. Upright, true friend; one's eyes fill with tears at the actions people take. So Allah has such servants too. If there were no such servants, the earth would drown in (?). For their sake Allah keeps these worlds standing. Yes. I have witnessed many things. And my Lord in actual deeds raised me, raised me through events.
Do not hold back from bearing witness in helping the oppressed. Remove strife and injustice from the earth, so that you get along with people like brothers. Like brothers. And so that you live in peace all your life. (?) this world, he says; if the mountains move from their place, do not be heedless, open your eyes, if you would watch around you, he says, if you would watch around you. So man will be just. (?) this world's pomp, its splendour, sir, in this world is not worth living for a passing time. That is why you will be governed by right. You will be governed by Allah's justice. Even if you die between two millstones, finally the pain of this world will cease, and the eternal abode of bliss or the abode of oppression of the Hereafter will begin.
Would you want to be the owner of that abode of oppression? May Allah protect us. Yes. If people do not go with justice, these beings that Allah created (?) in order and harmony. Life: everyone within this justice, within justice, lives in peace. Let not the hatred you feel for a community drive you to injustice against that community. As I just explained. I may be angry with side A. He may have wronged me. But side B has also wronged him. Well, now I have seen this matter, I am a witness. Shall I abolish Allah's justice because I am angry with him, shall I go to the side my nafs makes attractive to me, following the temptation of Satan and my nafs, in a way that would abolish my Lord's justice, (?) shall I act with such a state?
May Allah protect us.
Being forgiving to people and, because of their mistakes, insulting them, because of their mistakes. I have a nature. I am very patient. I am very patient. However much I am personally insulted, I forgive. Look, to my person, however much they insult my person, let them, I forgive. The reason is they are ignorant people, they do not know. I see them as children, as children.
If they knew the truth, would they do this? So a child against his father, say a 3-5-year-old child punching his father or kicking him, the father even likes it. Because a 3-5-year-old child does not (?). These are people in that proportion too. But when someone opposes Allah's verses, that is when your patience goes.
I still continue with the verses patiently, I continue, I continue. With patience. I see that his thinking and mindset are different. A person who, with that mindset and thinking, heads towards confusing the religion of Islam. That is where my patience ends.
My person is one thing, Allah Almighty is another. I can never turn a blind eye to any deficiency being attributed to Him. In this I am a bit impatient. That is why Allah Almighty says to the Prophet, be patient with them, they will know whose the end of the world will soon be. We too, because of this patience, because of this verse, are patient and stop answering them. Yes.
Every person certainly makes mistakes. If you feel hatred and resentment towards people for those mistakes, you too have conduct and mistakes they do not like. If he too feels hatred and resentment towards you, the taste of life is gone. You become restless. For Allah's sake, for those who love Allah and the people of taqwa who obey His command, it is fitting to (?) people. Even if retaliation is applied, even if retaliation is applied, forgiving and pardoning carries a person to his value in Allah's sight. To his value. In fact, what does Allah Almighty say? There is life in retaliation, it says.
But if you forgive, your reward is with Allah, it says. If you forgive. Why? The reward is with Him. Well, he was created with mistakes. He followed his nafs. He made a mistake. He killed.
He also regretted it. He paid you blood money.
If you give him life, (?), your value is much greater, it says. Much greater. That is why, it says, after you have come to an agreement with each other, after he has given you blood money, whoever is subjected to transgression, it says, he to his own self, if he attempts that transgression, it says, is subjected to it, which is the same thing, if he attempts transgression and transgresses, he will have wronged his own self, it says.
So once the killer has paid blood money, everything becomes calm, his judgement is left to Allah, this blood feud and so on disappears. After this, whoever transgresses will have wronged himself. So Allah always wants us to forgive, to forgive.
Allah Almighty fully knows everything people do; those who for Allah's sake forgive Allah's servants and expect their reward from Allah, and those who act with the movements of their own nafs, with what intention they act, Allah fully knows.
