Al-Ma'idah 2: Oh you believers! Do not be disrespectful towards the signs of Allah, the forbidden month, the sacrifice (to Allah), the garland (it carries) and the ones who head for Bayt al Haram (Kaaba) seeking for the blessing and contentedness of Allah. Once you go out of Ihraam, you can hunt. The hate you feel toward a group that has prevented you from entering Masjid al Haram should not lead you to transgression. Help each other in goodness and in abstaining (from the bans of Allah); fear Allah for Allah’s punishment is severe.

Oh you believers!

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has laid down certain rules and signs for those who accept Islam and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those who have faith are obliged to observe these rules and signs. One of these signs is the haram months. These months are called ashurul haram (the months of Dhu'l-Qa'dah, Dhu'l-Hijjah, Muharram and Rajab) and people do not wage war out of respect for these months. They also do not steal or usurp the sacrifices and the necklaces that are offered as a gift to Allah. The meaning (of the necklaces) is, in one sense, a sign on their necks that they will be sacrificed to Allah. Another meaning is that these signs should not be changed or taken away.

Do not disrespect people who are seeking Allah's favor and pleasure by encroaching on them when they are facing the qiblah (qiblah means facing Makkah al-Mukarram, Allah's Bayt). To disturb them, to make fun of them, or to insult them in a way that they can hear, or to make mischievous gestures or gestures in front of them, is disrespectful to Allah. Beware of such behavior.

People are allowed to hunt when they come out of ihram. People cannot hunt while in ihram. The meaning of Ihram is: O Allah, I have left the world behind me, I have left behind the cares of the world, my wife, my children, my children, my children's children, and my worldly possessions. I have set out to come to You. You accept my intention. But if you kill an animal or hunt, you violate these intentions. But when you come out of ihraam and go back to the world, you are allowed to hunt. Because game animals were also created for humans.

Do not violate the community there by harboring hatred against those who drove you out of Masjid al-Haram.

In order to protect mankind, Allah (swt) commands that people should be governed with great justice. First, He proves that there is no creator but Himself, then He makes every rational person believe that there is no other way but to believe in Him. Then He makes these believers love Him by promising them many rewards. And He commands those who love Him not to oppress those who oppress them, when they have the opportunity to do so, by making them suppress the rebellion and hatred in their souls for the love of Allah. This justice of Allah (swt) is not found in any of His creatures. With this justice, Allah proves that He is compassionate and merciful to His creatures.

May Allah grant all of us a faith that will extinguish the fire of rebellion and hatred in our hearts against the creatures for the sake of Allah.

You should cooperate in good deeds and avoid Allah's prohibitions, and fear Allah, and Allah's punishment is severe.

What is said in the video

O you who believe, do not violate the rites set by Allah, its signs, the sacred month, the offering dedicated to Allah, the garlands on it, nor those who, seeking the bounty and pleasure of their Lord, head for the Sacred House; do not transgress against them or disrespect them. Once out of ihram, you may hunt. Let not your hatred for a people because they barred you from the Sacred Mosque drive you to transgression. Help one another in goodness and in guarding against what Allah has forbidden. Fear Allah, for Allah's punishment is severe. So in this world, even if they are non-Muslims, following your nafs and transgressing against them is not allowed. Yes, Allah Almighty has set, for those who accept Islam, who (?) Allah and His Messenger, certain rules and signs; the people of faith, these rules and signs, they are obliged to observe; we, the people of faith, are obliged to, that is, these are the rules of our Lord. One of these signs is the sacred months; these months are the ones called Ashhur al-Hurum: Dhu al-Qa'dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram and Rajab.

Yes. What were they? The months called Ashhur al-Hurum. The months Dhu al-Qa'dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram and Rajab. Four months are sacred months. There is no war in these months, but if you are attacked, you may respond in like measure. Yes. As for these months, out of respect for these months people do not wage war; and also the offerings dedicated to Allah and the garlands on them, they may not violate them, they may not steal them or seize them. As for the garlands on them, the first meaning is a sign put on their necks that they are to be sacrificed to Allah. Another meaning is that these signs must not be changed or removed from them.

People who seek Allah's bounty and pleasure, when they turn to the qibla, by qibla meaning Mecca, Makkah al-Mukarramah, those heading for the House of Allah, do not transgress against them and disrespect them. In Makkah al-Mukarramah, before the Baytullah, people who turn to that House, do not disrespect them. Also, those who face the qibla and stand in prayer, wherever in the world they are, do not disrespect them either.

Disturbing them, making fun of them, or insulting them so they can hear, pranking them to their face or making hand gestures, behaving like this means disrespecting Allah. Guard against such behaviour too. Sometimes they play pranks. To make people laugh, they imitate the movements of prayer. Or they make remarks at him. Yet that person is in the presence of his Lord.

If you went before the president, there, while someone else is speaking, would you make remarks at him, play pranks? You would be ashamed before the president.

Or he would chew you up.

Well, this world is the likeness and shadow of the Hereafter. And the owner of the worlds is our Lord. Can a person prank or insult someone standing in His presence? Is that possible? He must respect that prayer. Respect for prayer is respect for Allah. Because in that worship he is in his Lord's presence.

Yes.

Once out of ihram, hunting is permitted for people. While in ihram, people may not hunt. The meaning of ihram is: O Allah, I have withdrawn from the world. Worldly worries, spouse, children, family, my worldly goods I have left behind. So what did we say? You undressed, put on the shroud, you are entering to your Lord. Yes. I set out to come to You. Accept this intention, you say; and besides that, by killing an animal or hunting you would go against these intentions. But when you leave ihram, with your return to the world, your hunting is permitted again. Because game animals too were created for people.

Those who drove you out of the Sacred Mosque, the community there, do not act on your nafs, bearing a grudge against them, and transgress against them. These are descendants of that family, these are non-Muslims, these do not believe in Allah, do not say this, bear a grudge and quarrel with them, He says. To protect people, Allah Almighty, with what tremendous justice, commands that people be governed. Tremendous justice. First, after proving that there is no creator but Him, He makes every person of reason believe that there is no other way but to believe in Him, He makes them believe. That there is no other being besides Him to be believed in and (?), Allah Almighty thus proves Himself to people and makes them believe.

Except, of course, those who do not believe in their nafs. Then, by promising those who believe many rewards, He makes them love Him. And to those who love Him, toward His creatures, when they get the chance, toward those who wronged them, the rebellion and grudge in their nafs, for Allah, for the love of Allah, to suppress it, and giving the command not to hurt them, what is that? In which of the created beings does this justice of Allah Almighty exist?

Such a justice that everyone, if everyone is to prove himself, what each does is for himself; if he wronged you, now that you have the chance, wrong him too, He does not say. Forgive him. Forgive him, so that he too may live and, with the deeds he does by his own will, prove what kind of person he is, and you, by this forgiveness, since you suppressed your own nafs, since you carried out Allah's command, may attain your Lord's mercy, He says. How beautiful. Such a tremendous law. Yes. Allah Almighty, by this justice, proves that He is compassionate and merciful toward His creatures. May Allah Almighty grant all of us a faith that, for Allah's sake, tastes the love of Allah, and that toward the created puts out, for Allah's sake, the fire of rebellion and grudge in hearts, may He grant it.

Help one another in goodness and in guarding against what Allah has forbidden; fear Allah, and Allah's punishment is severe.
