The people of the book shall surely believe in him (Jesus) being a Messenger of Allah, before death. Or, on the Day of Judgment, he (Jesus) will be a witness against them.
Tafsir
This verse shows us that among the people of the Book who follow Jesus, there are some who appear to believe in him but do not believe in him. If the People of the Book had believed in Jesus, Allah would not have spoken idly and said, "Every one of the People of the Book will surely believe in him before his death". When they see the truth at death and the doors of repentance are closed, they will believe in Jesus in their own disbelief. Hazrat Jesus will be a witness to them on the Day of Judgment at the Court-i Kübra, on that day of reckoning. Did I tell you that I am the son of Allah? Did I not invite you to Allah? Did I not tell you that the books were sent by Allah? Did I not tell you about the lawful and unlawful? Did I not tell you that after death you will be gathered before Allah?" He will bear witness to them on the Day of Judgment, in the presence of Allah. The veracity of Jesus' testimony will be confirmed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Servant of two worlds. He will testify against Allah, against the truthfulness of Jesus.
All the Prophets will testify against their own people that they conveyed the command of Allah to their people, and the Holy Prophet will testify against the Prophets that he did the duties of all the Prophets and conveyed the command of Allah. This is how the Prophet's attribute of being alive is that before he came to the realm of property, he witnessed the Prophets communicating their commands to their people, he came to the realm of property, tasted death and became alive.
What is said in the video
In verse 159 of Surah An-Nisa: every one of the People of the Book will, before his death, surely believe in him. In whom? In Jesus. Before his death. 'Will believe in him. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them,' He says. What is the meaning in this anyway? They do not believe in Jesus while they are alive either. Yes. 'The broadcast (?) is very nice,' he says. May Allah be pleased with him. So while alive, people while alive do not believe in Jesus either. But before their death they will surely believe in him. Before dying, first. And Jesus (peace be upon him) will bear witness against them (?).
Against them, not for them. What will he say? Allah Almighty will ask Jesus: 'O Jesus, did you say: I am the son of Allah?' Yes.
So Allah Almighty will ask Jesus: 'Did you tell them, I am the son of Allah, God is three?' And Jesus: 'Far be it, my Allah, You know me better than I know myself. No such thing came from me. I only said: believe in one single Allah.' He will say this, he will bear witness, and in this way against them, against those who say Allah is three, he will bear witness. Against them. They, by associating partners with Allah, by committing shirk, by not entering the religion of Islam, by (?) their own nafs, will in this way be subject to punishment.
Every one of the People of the Book will, before his death, surely believe in him. This verse shows us that among those of the People of the Book who follow Jesus, there are those who seem to believe in him but do not believe. Yes. There are those who do not believe.
Who?
They were those in the highest positions in their own affairs. How would I know? If you can draw a meaning from here, we know how we know. Allah Almighty — fame, renown, pride, arrogance, ego, grandeur, such things He is, by His essence, the enemy of. Those ruled by such things are people who have fallen into the passion of being the head over their own heads. In the hadith too it says: whoever falls into the passion of being the head loses his own head.
Today look at those of the clergy among the Christians who are regarded as scholars in their own affairs, those in the highest positions. They are in pomp, fame, renown and pride.
And as long as they do not take judgment from the religion of Islam, if the pride of their carnal feelings and the grandeur, the pomp of their arrogance rise (?), then on their necks We have put (?). 'They cannot bow their necks,' He says. These cannot turn to Allah. They cannot submit to Him. In this case they do not believe in Jesus either. Yes.
If the People of the Book, the people of scripture, had believed in Jesus — Allah does not speak in vain. The word of the verse. 'Every one of the People of the Book will, before his death, surely believe in him' — He would not say that. When they see the realities in the state of death, when the doors of repentance close, they will believe in Jesus within their own understanding of kufr. Within their own understanding of kufr. That is: 'Jesus is the son of Allah.' They will lean on him. Again they will not (?) help from Allah. From whom will they (?)? They will lean on Jesus, not on Allah.
Thinking 'maybe he will save us, maybe he will save us,' they will lean their backs on him. So before their death they will surely believe in him. Not in Allah. In Jesus.
And Jesus, on the Day of Resurrection, at the supreme court, on that Day of Reckoning, will bear witness to them, witness: 'Did I tell you that I am the son of Allah?' he will say. 'Did I not invite you to Allah?' he will say. 'Did you not say that the books were sent by Allah?' he will say. 'Did I not explain to you the lawful and the unlawful?' he will say. 'Did I not say that after death you will be gathered in the presence of Allah?' — to these he will come as a witness in the presence of Allah on the Day of Resurrection. The truth of Jesus' testimony will be confirmed by the Seal of the Prophets, the master of the two worlds, Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He will confirm it. On what basis do you say that, Hodja? I say it on the basis of the verse. 'I will make you a witness over the prophets, and your community,' He says, 'a witness over the other communities,' He says. If He will make the Prophet a witness over the prophets, then the Prophet too will bear witness to Allah Almighty: yes. 'Yes, my Lord speaks the truth,' he will say. He will bear witness.
He will bear witness to Allah Almighty regarding the truthfulness of Jesus. All the prophets, regarding their own peoples, that they conveyed Allah's command to the peoples they were charged with, will bear witness. What does He say?
'With a witness at your head,' He says. That is, the prophets. 'When you come into My presence with a witness at the head of every people,' He says. That witness is the prophet among their people. What will they say? 'Did I not convey the truth to you? Did I not say there is no god but Allah? Did I not tell you not to stray from the truth? Did I not tell you to weigh with just scales? Did I not tell you to mind the lawful and the unlawful?' They will say these things. Yes. Every one of them, without exception, in return for what they did, will by Allah Almighty either be rewarded or punished.
All the prophets, regarding their own peoples, that they conveyed Allah's command to the peoples they were charged with, will bear witness. And the Prophet, that all the prophets did their duty and conveyed Allah's command — the prophets will come as witnesses to one another (?). As I said just now: 'I will hold you as a witness over the prophets, and your community over the other communities,' He says. Yes. So the Prophet's attribute of being alive: before coming to the visible world, bearing witness that the prophets conveyed the commands to their peoples; coming to the visible world, tasting death and being alive.
The Prophet being alive.
While we are here, bring me the Quran, come from inside.
I explained this to those here a little while ago; let me explain it to you too. Let me explain it to you too. It will be good.
That Hazrat Mahdi is (?) the Prophet (peace be upon him), we said.
We tried to prove it with verses. However much I proved from the verses, there are verses here now that prove all the verses together, at once. There is a verse that proves all the verses I proved, all at once.
You know how people say: this man, this person denies the hadiths. He denies the hadiths the Prophet spoke. The people who say this are unaware of the hadiths. Unaware of the verses. Poor people.
What did we say? Let us remind you again, so it stays in your minds as knowledge about Hazrat Mahdi.
'When the souls are paired' — the body and the soul coming face to face.
'We bring you to life twice, We cause you to die twice.' The first coming to life is here. The first death is here. The second coming to life is there. The second coming to life too. And death too is there. Upon the body. Not upon the souls. Look what Allah Almighty says in a verse. I went over that a little while ago too. 'In hell they will not taste any death but the first death,' He says. They will not taste any death but the first death. Remember, there was the verse 'We bring you to life twice, We cause you to die twice.' Those simple minds, you know, because they enter everywhere, paradise, hell, with the body, they get all confused there.
They do not understand. Now we are explaining it to you. They will not taste any death but the first death. Body and soul live intertwined in this world, the visible world. And according to the verse 'every soul will taste death', the body tastes death, while the soul does not taste death. That is, it does not die. It only tastes death. It tastes death. But it does not die. Those who die are the bodies. The second time, the body will be brought to life there, but the soul will not enter the body. What will it do? You know He says, 'When you come into My presence with a driver' — 'when with a driver you come into My presence', 'when the souls are paired', when they come face to face, 'We,' He says, 'bind your hands, silence your mouths, bind your feet, silence your mouths, make your hands speak,' He says.
'We make your feet bear witness,' He says. Allah Almighty. In this case, because the body is facing the soul, since that soul is not in the body, the soul does not taste the body's death a second time. 'You will not taste the pain of any death but the first death, but the first death,' He says. Look how beautifully the verses all support one another. In this case, since He said 'I have forgiven your past and future sins', since He said 'I have forgiven', Allah Almighty, the Prophet's (?) raising his body in the Hereafter and having it bear witness against him — He does not see the need, because He would be doing something superfluous.
In this case, coming to life twice and dying twice will be, for the Prophet, in this world it will be. It will be in this world. Now look at the verses that support this too. Look at the verse that supports that he is Hazrat Mahdi. Let us read from Surah Ad-Dukhan, verse 9. Let us read from verse 9 of Surah Ad-Dukhan on.
But they amuse themselves in doubt. Who are they? Non-Muslims. They do not believe they will be raised in the Hereafter.
'Now watch for the day when the sky brings forth a visible smoke that will cover the people,' He says. The sky. That it brings forth a visible smoke. Sir, watch for the day it brings forth (?). To whom is He saying this? To whom is He saying it? To the Prophet (peace be upon him). How do you know, Hodja? Look, now the verses come below. The verses will come.
And the address is to him too. What did we say? 'But they amuse themselves in doubt. Now watch for the day when the sky brings forth a visible smoke that will cover the people. This is a painful punishment,' He says.
'Then people will say: Our Lord, remove the punishment from us. Truly, we now believe.' But look, He is addressing that time. Listen well. Not the past. One must understand the verses well. Allah Almighty is not addressing the past. He is giving news of the future. Of the future. He has programmed all these worlds, you see. So, if He is giving news of the future, let us read up to here once more. Let us understand it well. But they amuse themselves in doubt. Now watch for the day when the sky brings forth a visible smoke that will cover the people. To whom is He saying it? To the Prophet. How do you know? Now it will come below.
This is a painful punishment. Then people will say: Our Lord, remove the punishment from us. Truly, we now believe. 'How can they take heed?' He says. 'Yet a messenger who makes the truth clear has come to them.' Messenger. The Seal of the Prophets. After him no prophet will come. Who is this messenger? Who is this messenger, messenger?
Think a little. Can this be anyone other than the Prophet? Alive, because he is alive. What again? Seal of the Prophets, no prophet again. A messenger comes. Messenger. Since Allah's word does not contradict itself, if the Prophet is the Seal of the Prophets, Seal of the Prophets — his messengership does not end, given that he is alive. Alive. He himself comes again. Messenger. Now we continue, look. That it is him, that is, that it gives news of the future there — how beautifully Allah Almighty explains it. Of the future. 'How can they take heed? Yet a messenger who makes the truth clear had come to them.
Then they turned away from him and said: a madman who has been taught.' Just as in the first time. To that time. In the future time. At the Last Day they will say it. That is, from the Prophet, in the time of Hazrat Mahdi. They will not abandon this way of addressing the Prophet. Look what Allah Almighty says now. That it is addressed to that time. 'We will remove the punishment a little. But you will return to your former state,' He says. You will return to your former state. Now this, this they distort. When there is no knowledge, they distort it, of course. Look what it says here now.
'The famine was lifted through the Prophet's prayer,' it says. 'After it was lifted, they returned to their denial.' That is, the Quraysh suffered a famine in the Prophet's time. The Prophet prayed, and the famine was lifted. This does not point to that. He is continually speaking of the future. Go ahead, read downward from the verse at nine. Now it continues here. 'They returned to their denial.' According to another interpretation — now these are interpretations, of course — according to the interpretation, it is the smoke that covers everything before the Last Day comes. Correct. Sir, the unbelievers, on seeing it, will take refuge in Allah and pray.
Allah will remove the smoke for a short while. But despite this they will return to their kufr again. For a short while. What is this? Forty years, Hazrat Mahdi with Hazrat Jesus will reign (?). Forty years. They a second time. First Jesus, a second time — after the Prophet tastes death, the world, you know, will remove the smoke a little, a little. That is the 40 years. 40 years, He says, (?) will go toward its end. Now look how beautifully it says it in the continuation of the verse. 'But on the day We seize with great severity, We will surely take Our revenge,' He says. Allah, far be it, does not take revenge.
Allah does not take Ahmet, Mehmet, you or me as His counterpart. So on that day those people will have taken revenge on their own selves. On their own selves. These verses — a Quranic knowledge (?) will be. It will be a person whom Allah Almighty has raised. He will enter through the door of ilm al-yaqin. And Allah Almighty will give him wisdom. And He will give him a duty. Those people with a duty know the secret of this. They cannot know. And we are explaining it anyway. We are trying to teach from here. We are trying to teach from here, and they are learning too, thanks be to Allah. They are learning.
Yes.
