Translation

The nation of Noah also accused their Prophet of being a liar.

Tafsir

The people of Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' also accused their Prophet of lying. They claimed that Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' was not a Prophet. People who had no knowledge about them, subject to every stubborn devil, denied Allah and His Prophet by denying them. Hadrat Noah lived among his people for nine hundred and sixty years and delivered the truth. Nevertheless, his father advised his son, and he advised his son, and father and son advised each other, saying, 'Do not follow this man, he will not die. We were advised by our fathers, and we advise you, do not follow this man.

The prominent men of his people said, 'Would we come to you when you have lowly people with you? These people left God and started measuring people by the matter that God created.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 105 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara. Noah — they accused the prophets of lying, it says. Prophet Noah lived among his people for 960 years. From father to son they would advise one another: "We have this advice from our father: never believe this man, this man doesn't die," they would say. So they would not believe Noah (peace be upon him).

And Noah (peace be upon him) now complains to Allah Almighty. "My Lord, these people no longer believe me," he says. And so Allah Almighty says: build a ship. Build it. Take a pair of every creature, and put those who believe in you on the ship, He says. And then He drowns the world in a flood and leaves no living thing there. Our first propagation is from our forefather Adam, our second propagation from Noah. Yes. Noah's people too accused the prophets of lying. They would even say this to Noah, to Prophet Noah: The people around you are all poor people who don't know themselves. If you distance yourself from them, we will talk with you.

Didn't they say the same thing to the Prophet too? They said the very same thing. These are words as if they had seen them from their forefathers, from one another, and been taught them. The people of Noah (peace be upon him) too accused their prophet of lying. They made claims about Noah (peace be upon him) being a prophet. They claimed it was nothing. People with no knowledge about them, following every stubborn devil, denied Allah and His prophet, calling them liars. Indeed Allah Almighty says in His verse: they follow every stubborn devil, He says. Now why does He say stubborn devil? Stubborn devil.

Satan knows that Allah exists. He also knows that Allah is the Creator, the creator of this universe. That's why he says to Allah: in the earth, he says, there is not a span of soil where I have not laid my forehead in prostration before the Most Merciful, he says. Therefore, as a (?) of worship, (?). What are they saying here? The prominent, esteemed men of his people too said: while there are (?) people with you, would we come to you? These people left Allah aside and began measuring people by the matter Allah created.
