Ash-Shu'ara 107: Verily, I am a trustworthy Messenger for you.

We have come to Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 107.

What does it say here? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. İnnî leküm resûlün emîn. Know that I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you, it says. Know that I am a messenger sent to you and trusted, a trusted messenger. When you say "amin", it means trusted. What does it say, after all? İnnî leküm. To all of you. Resulün emin: sent to you, to all of you, I am a trustworthy messenger, it says.

O my people! I am a trustworthy messenger to you from Allah, who created the worlds and us, he said. As for Noah (peace be upon him) saying "I am a trustworthy messenger": people associated partners with Allah and denied Allah, and so he believed that this people, at the end of dark and swampy roads, would meet destruction; so, to bring them out of these darknesses and calamities into salvation, "I am a trustworthy messenger to you," he said. "If you follow me, you will find the truth and enter the right path," he said. Here, "trustworthy messenger" has many meanings. In the first meaning, as I explained, since he thought they would be destroyed in the end, he says "trustworthy".

But if we open it up: O my people, the One who created these worlds, who sent you into this world so that His Being may be known, and who gave you this much sustenance – if you deny the One who gives this sustenance and worship His creations as gods, surely one day you will be destroyed. You will sink into the swamp amid darknesses. I am a trustworthy messenger to you. Trust me. I am a messenger from my Lord who will lead you to salvation. That is its meaning anyway. Yes.
