(They) said, “while those with a low status keep following you, will we believe in you?”
Tafsir
If people have no respect for Allah and His creatures, they become arrogant and proud of the worldly blessings that Allah has bestowed upon them. They think they are great and in this greatness they think they are superior to people. They evaluate everything with the wealth of the world. They do not sit with people who do not have worldly possessions. They despise them and do not go to them. They also despise those who talk to them.
Such people evaluate everything in terms of matter. They value people according to their material things. Again, since such people have no knowledge of spirituality, they cannot see the events taking place around them. Because their eyes are blind and their ears deaf to the Truth. Allah says: "Thousands of miracles appear before your eyes every day, but you are blind and do not see them.
In this respect, these people also make class distinctions between people. They value the material things that Allah offers them, and they become proud and arrogant against people who say Allah and are not priced in the sight of Allah with the material things of the world. Such people lead their own souls to destruction. Their pride and arrogance turned them away from obeying Allah and led them to the torment of the eternal abode in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 111 They answered as follows: While lowly people keep following you, would we ever believe in you? they said. That is, one must have money, must have goods and property. That is, it must go by their own reasoning. When it is like this, it is not people's obedience to Allah; rather, out of their love for material things, it is a matter of staying beside a personality and profiting from it. What does Allah Almighty say? If We wished, We would send angels down from the sky, send them down in clouds, and make you prostrate, He says. (?) does not use force. How beautiful. He leaves everyone free in their own will.
Well, in that case, if goods and property too were created by the Owner of the worlds, who are those you call lowly people here? I know of no lowly person in this universe. Why don't I?
Hazrat İbrahim Fakırullah says such a beautiful word. Look kindly on the created for the sake of the Creator. Since these people – and if He says He created man in the most beautiful form, and if my Lord willed it and said: I will create man; leaving him free in his own will, so that by his own will he may know Me, I will create a being – then obeying this creation of His, in response to the power and might of the art Allah created, means loving those creations – but loving them for Allah's sake. Loving for Allah's sake pleases Allah. Ah, whom are you not to love? Whom are you not to love? Those who deny Allah.
Even then it is not about being unable to love them; you will pray for them too. O Allah, reform them. Reform them. Once they are reformed, you will say: O Allah, have mercy on them too. Yes. That is why a person's level, lineage and rank are with Allah. People cannot know this. In that case, when one speaks of a lowly person, that person has in their heart pride, arrogance, glory, fame, ego, grandeur and worldly desire. This person is completely covered with satanic feelings. And even if this person has performed the prayer, he is at the nafs al-ammara. Because a person who rises to the nafs al-lawwama, he says, has two faces.
One faces the nafs al-ammara, one faces the nafs al-mulhima. A person at the nafs al-lawwama prays, (?), but (?) the nafs al-ammara; if he lives out its ways, this is a person of that degree. If, however, he turns to taqwa, he rises to the nafs al-mulhima and reaches the door of karamat. In that case, a person needs to know this: No person was created higher than any other person. People were all created equal. When Allah Almighty said "I am your Lord", the ranks were separated there. And these ranks are with our Lord. We cannot know what state people are in. So we cannot call people lowly.
It lies between Allah and the servant. Yes. They answered as follows: While lowly people keep following you, would we ever believe in you? they said. Yes.
Since I am addressing the public here, I answered in response to the feelings of the public. So if people have no respect for Allah and for what Allah created – who are these? Those people. they become arrogant and proud with the worldly blessings Allah has bestowed on them. They have a sense of greatness in themselves, and within this greatness they see themselves above other people. They value everything by worldly wealth. They do not associate with people who have no worldly goods. They look down on them and do not go near them. They also look down on those who talk to them. Such people value everything by material things.
They value people according to their material wealth. Again, since such people know nothing of spirituality, the events happening around them they cannot see. Because toward the truth their eyes are blind and their ears deaf. Allah Almighty says: Before your eyes thousands of miracles appear every day, you are blind, you do not see. For this reason these people also make class distinctions among people, and value the material things Allah has offered them. Toward people who say "Allah" and who, in Allah's sight, cannot be priced with the world's material things, they become proud and arrogant. Such people drag their own selves to destruction.
This pride and arrogance of theirs has turned them away from obeying Allah, and in the hereafter dragged them to the punishment of the eternal abode.
Never look down on people.
Allah Almighty says: in broken and grieving hearts seek Me. How beautifully He says it. That grieving one sees himself as lowly before anything else. And he has taken refuge in his Lord. Because people have shut him out; the only one he trusts is his Lord. Seek Me in such hearts. Take them by the hand and help them. Yes.
