Tafsir
Those who leave the believers and take the disbelievers as their friends, those who try to take their side with their inclination towards the world, those who are attracted to their power, those who take pride in them, those who think that they will attain honor and glory with the disbelievers, are deluded. Allah (swt) created these worlds according to a program. Allah (swt) informs people about these programs. So, if man understands the Holy Qur'an well, he will see that these Verses are addressed to every time and every understanding. Such people, even if they have power, will never find honor and dignity with those who do not submit to Allah. For these are the ones who do not act in accordance with Allah's justice, and who act in selfish and evil ways, and in self-interested ways. Therefore, they are harsh and cruel. And the people who behave in such a cruel manner have neither honor nor dignity.
All honor and glory belongs to Allah. Because Allah does not wrong anyone by a hair's breadth. Due to the imperfect and faulty creation of human beings, people can do wrong. These actions cause them to be vilified and talked about among people. Allah is such that no creature will see any deficiency in Allah, and they will stop questioning Allah, realizing their weakness and error in their actions. So the glory and honor belongs to Allah, the complete and perfect. Whoever obeys Allah's command and keeps His commands will be honored to the extent that they live Islam. If such people are with Allah and return to Allah, their sins will be forgiven to them. Allah (swt) will honor them with His Glory in the Hereafter out of mercy for His servants. There is no honor and glory outside of those who are not with Allah.
What is said in the video
Verse 139 of Surah An-Nisa says: those who leave the believers and take the disbelievers as friends — do they seek might, power and honour with them? Let them know that all might belongs to Allah alone. The might and honour of this world and of the hereafter belong to Allah. Because the owner of this dominion is Allah; Allah creates everything from the atom to the globe, Allah also creates what is within them; the owner of these beings, their strength, their power — all of it is Allah. So the honour and might of both worlds, this world and the hereafter, belong to Allah alone.
Those who seek honour, who seek might with the disbelievers — let them know that those have neither honour nor might.
Why?
Allah created man the most honourable. Look, the name says it. He created him the most honourable. Lekad halaknâ'l-insâne fî ahseni takvîm. He says: I created man in the most beautiful form. This man, whom He created in the most beautiful form, the vicegerent of the earth (?).
Moreover, because He created man very honourable, apart from man, all the creatures He created — Allah Almighty programmed them for the duties they would perform.
He left humans and jinn free in their own will. Above the jinn, humans too attain great honour and might. Because in man there is a part of our Lord, and His spirit. So humans are the honourably created beings of the earth. For these honourably created beings, Allah Almighty, to preserve their honour, to preserve their might, and to have it said through their character, ‘hâzâ, this is a human’, has with His verses laid down the laws for people.
Those outside Allah's law who live, people, compared with those who live within Allah's laws, are without honour. And they are without might.
It is plain from Allah's verses. If we are human, if our Lord has a part in us, and if our Lord has left man free in his own will, if He has written his desires and wishes, his intent, as his destiny, if He has (?) it this way created, and if the path man will go, the path he will follow, by which he will attain that honour, attain that might — attain it — if He has shown him those characters, that path: with what? With the Quran — He says, We have sent you your honour. He says it with a verse. We have sent you your honour. You turn your backs on your honour, He says.
So our living as human beings in the most honourable way we secure with Allah's verses, and so we can attain that honour. So whoever turns his back on Allah's verse, they are without honour. They are without might. Seek neither honour nor might in them. So if you leave the Muslim and seek might and honour with the non-Muslim — might and honour are with Allah. Might and honour are in the one who is with Allah.
These are the verses.
Yes.
Those who leave the believers and take the disbelievers as friends, who, inclining to the world, carried away by their power, try to take a place at their side, those who (?) with them, who think that they themselves, with the disbelievers, will attain honour and might — they are deceived. Why are they deceived? From them they will gain benefit. They will profit. They will enjoy the world. But alongside that, neither the notion of family will remain, nor the honour of their wives and children, nor Allah Almighty's command over them. And they, as people, as a nation that sleeps around with one another, living without the notion of family — is it with these that you seek might and honour?
So if you think that with the world's money you will attain might and honour with them — might and honour are not in the matter Allah created; might and honour are in the verses Allah has sent us. In your character as a human and in your conduct in the life you have lived lies might and honour.
So if you live outside Allah's verses, you will create might and honour in yourself.
Allah Almighty created these worlds within a program. Allah Almighty informs people of these programs. So if a person understands the Holy Quran well, he will see that these verses address every era and every understanding. Even if such peoples have power, with those who can never submit to Allah they cannot find might and honour. Because these, not acting by Allah's justice, with carnal and satanic behaviour engage in self-serving actions. Therefore they become harsh and cruel. And such peoples who act cruelly have neither honour nor might.
Here we went over it (?) without opening it up. Just before, we opened it up too. Yes. All honour and might belong to Allah alone. Because Allah does not wrong anyone even by a hair's breadth. Because of their deficient and faulty creation, people make mistakes. Through these actions they are blamed among people and give rise to talk about them. Allah is such that no created being will be able to see any deficiency in Allah; realizing their helplessness and error through what they did, before Allah's questioning they will be left speechless. So might and honour belong to Allah, who is complete and perfect.
And whoever heeds Allah's decree and keeps His commands will, to the extent that Islam is lived, attain might and honour. Such people are with Allah; if they turn to Allah, their sins are forgiven them. In the hereafter Allah Almighty, out of mercy to His servants, honours them with His own Self. For those who are not with Allah, there is no might or honour. Yes. (?)
