Even if you exert effort, you will not be able to maintain perfect justice among women; but do not incline completely (to one) and leave the other hanging. If you reconcile and abstain from sins, Allah is Oft-Forgiving (Ghafoor) and Most Merciful (Raheem).
Tafsir
People may have several marriages. During these marriages, people may not be fair among their wives and may love one more than the others. Because people are carriers of souls, they may lean more towards one of their wives and put the others on hold. It is not possible for people to love their wives equally. Allah, Who created us, knows this, so He warns people who have more than one wife in this way, commanding them to do justice between them and not to favor one of them to the detriment of the others or to suspend one of them completely. Do not torment them. Just as you have rights over women, they have rights over you.
And if there is discord between you and your wives and you think of separating from them and then you fear that you will sin. It is better for you to make things right between you and them.
With this verse, Allah (swt) tells people not to follow your nafs (ego) and deviate from the paths of sin, not to do injustice to people, not to oppress your nafs (ego) by pursuing such an evil as adultery, and not to oppress your wives who have been entrusted to you for the sake of your lust, by being deceived by the transient life of this world. He shows people the ways to live peacefully in family life for a lifetime. So if you heed the command of Allah and fear Allah and avoid sin, you will find Allah most forgiving and merciful.
What is said in the video
We continue with Surah An-Nisa, verse 129. Even if you strive hard at it, you will not be able to treat women justly. Why? What is the reason? Even a saint, even a saint, even a prophet cannot manage it. Because in man there is deficient creation, (?) deficient creation. He is not completely perfect. The completely perfect one is Allah. Even to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds, Allah Almighty says, I have forgiven your past and future sins. Future sins. The Prophet also says: Do not hold me equal to my Lord, value me only as much as is due. As much as is due. The meaning here: never hold me equal to my Lord, he says.
I came as a mercy to the worlds, but He is the Creator and I am the created, he says. Yes. So the human nafs, the human nafs, will surely incline to one of them. The reason? People are not robots. They do not all have the same capacity. One is superior to another, the other superior to the other, another is superior to the other. Yes. In this case a person inclines a little more to the most superior. He inclines a little more. But there is this: he is not going to let go of Allah's justice because he inclined to her. Yes. He may love, but the light of faith in him never separates that person from justice.
What does it say? Even if you strive hard at it, you will not be able to treat women justly. At least do not be wholly carried away by one and leave the other as if suspended, it says. What a sin it is. The other one too carries a heart. The other one too is a human being. She too has faith. She too is a servant of Allah. Today we look at people. The wife at home has, since his youth, endured his cruelty.
She has, I mean, obeyed him. She has guarded his property. She has raised his children. You see that the man, the whims of his nafs, inclines to another. His eyes see nothing. look at the nafs, and then he either kicks that woman out or leaves her alone; this does not fit the justice of the religion of Islam. Allah Almighty does not tell you not to marry; marry, it is your Lord's command, marry one, marry two, marry as many as you can afford, He says, as many as you can afford, but never depart from justice; do not create inequality between them, do not do injustice. Yes, you may (?) one a little more, but with that light of faith in you, let your conscience not go against Allah's commands and His sharia rulings.
You will not depart from justice.
If you set things right and guard against sin, Allah is surely very forgiving and merciful. So if he makes a mistake and then, in that mistake, turns to his wife and says, 'I, well, did this because of certain circumstances, forgive me, I make no distinction between you; you are my wife and she is my wife,' he sets things right this way. He finds, that is, he finds a middle way. Now, for those who seek the truth, for those who seek the truth, good lies in one, it says. (?) Now, once upon a time someone used to go to the mosque. The poor man. He would see that a man was sitting in the mosque before him.
At the morning prayer.
The man made up his mind. Whenever I come, I see this man in this mosque. This one doesn't (?) either, he said. I see him go home after the night prayer. I will try to beat him, he said. The next day he comes a little earlier. He sees the man is there again. The day after he comes a little earlier still. He sees the man is there again. My friend, he says, I've been trying to beat you and I just can't. In coming early to this mosque, he says, what is the secret of this, he says. Oh, it's very simple, he says. What is it? I have two wives, he says. When I (?) to come to the mosque, while one puts on my socks, the other puts on my shirt. While one holds my jacket outside, the other puts on my shoes.
They get me ready like a bird and I come to the mosque, he says. Right away the man marries again. He sees that nagging starts at home. To escape the nagging he beats the man too and comes to the mosque. The man comes: oh my friend, he says, you've beaten me too, he says, congratulations, he says, you burned me, he says, may it not take your life, he says, you burned me, he says, why didn't you tell me the truth, he says. Well, I suffered this much, and now you and I have become brothers, he says.
So good lies in one; we will not follow our nafs. (?), this is how bad it is. Yes. People may marry several times. In these marriages people will surely be unable to act justly among their wives and love one more than the others. As we said, people are not robots. One is superior to the other, another is superior in knowledge, one is superior in worship, one is close to that person's mind, closer. It happens, you know. Yes. Since people carry a nafs, they may incline more to one of their wives and leave the others' worth in suspense. It is not possible for people to feel equal love for their wives.
Now, equal love is one thing, leaving in suspense is another, of course. Since Allah, who created us, knows this, He warns people who have more than one wife in this way, commanding that they be treated justly, and that one should not incline to one and leave the other, or any one, completely suspended, and He says: do not stop going to them. Do not stop going to them. Because the woman has a right over the man. And the man has a right over the woman. In this case, because you wrong a human being Allah has created, because you usurp her right, you become a sinner. If you fear these situations, if you realize you cannot give her right in full, it is better to fear Allah and remain in a single marriage.
That is what our Lord commands anyway. But if you are in danger of falling into sin, if you have a state that will take you outside your Lord's command, in which you cannot control your nafs, then He gives you permission. He says, rather than doing such filth, you may marry. Yes.
Since Allah, who created us, knows this, He warns people who have more than one wife in this way, commanding that they be treated justly, that one should not incline to one and leave the others, or any one, completely suspended: do not stop going to them, He declares. Do not torment them. Just as you have rights over women, they too have rights over you.
There is someone like this close to us too. Someone like this is close to us too.
The poor man had no children.
Because his wife could not have children, he married again in addition.
He had no children from her either. They went to the doctor. It turned out the fault was in the man. They did IVF. He now has a daughter from his second wife. But he left his first wife completely suspended.
The poor woman, from morning to evening, (?). The man takes his wife and goes to his second wife's hometown. He goes around enjoying himself. This poor woman here, in a corner, hungry and thirsty, waits for her husband to return.
She will be helped from here and there, she will eat. This is how she will get by. If she went to her siblings, her siblings are poor anyway, they could not look after her. Being in a wretched state, she has no choice but to stay here with her head bowed. Well now, this takes conscience.
This person, a person needs a conscience for this. To be able to bear it. These are sins.
If between you and your wives discord arises and you think of separating from them and then fear that you will fall into sin, setting right the matters between you is better for you, it says; rather than leaving her, until now, it says, you have a past together; and if your wife is obedient to you, this, it says, if it occurs to you that after leaving her you will fall into sin, then, it says, in marrying her again right away, in making peace between you and taking her back, there is benefit for you, it says. With this verse Allah Almighty declares to people: do not follow your nafs and stray into the ways of sin.
Do not wrong people, do not wrong your souls by running after an evil like adultery, do not, deceived by the passing life of this world, for the sake of your lust, wrong your wives given to you as a trust, He declares. Our wives are a trust given to us. Because they were created deficient with feelings of the nafs, deficient in feelings of the nafs, created from man. Therefore Allah Almighty entrusts the woman to the man. That is why the man will manage the woman. The man will be the manager.
It is not possible for a person to find someone perfect in every way. As if he himself were perfect in every way! In this case the only thing a person can do is to abide by Allah's commands and be patient; he will be patient. But how does a man divorce his wife? He does divorce; there is divorce.
The woman will do shameful things. That is, the woman will commit adultery.
Actually in our language these become (?). A married woman committing adultery with a married man. Both (?).
She will steal. Theft.
Or she will squander the man's property. That is, in a way that (?) making ends meet, she will waste his property. In these situations
