Translation

If they separate, by Allah’s grace, Allah will make each of them self-sufficient. Allah is All-Encompassing (Wasi), All-Wise (Hakeem).

Tafsir

If the spouses do not get along and separate from each other, Allah (swt) makes each of them free from need out of His power. That is to say, the desires of people due to their lustful feelings, Allah, by His might, makes them free from their needs.

With the various feelings that Allah (swt) has given to people, spouses do not need each other. They are saved from sinning by their own efforts. This is Allah's mercy and kindness to people. However, when people divorce under the mercy of Allah, following the desires of Satan and the nafs, they think that they are free and irresponsible, and they resort to evil ways, they commit sin. If a person feels that he cannot control himself in this way, it would be better for him if he fears Allah and makes peace with his wife, as we have explained in the above verse.

Allah's bounty is vast and people should always be on the lookout for Allah's bounty and take actions to attain it. Those who act in a way that is worthy of Allah's mercy, Allah will bestow upon them out of His bounty and bounty.

Allah has wisdom in His judgment. Surely Allah commands people to do what is right. Allah, the Wise, declares His Verses to people so that they do not suffer oppression, because Allah, Who has wisdom, knows what all people can desire, what they can do, and what state they will desire in whatever state they will be in. Whoever realizes that Allah is the Owner of Wisdom and says that Allah has sent His Verses to us, intending the best for me, and whoever holds fast to the Verses of Allah, they will attain the mercy of Allah in this world and in the Hereafter.

What is said in the video

Surah An-Nisa, verse 130, what does Allah Almighty say? If spouses separate from each other, spouses, (?) separated, it happens.

He makes each of them free of need by His power, says Allah Almighty. By His power, that is, He makes them free of lust. Because it is a need. He makes them free of need for food and drink. He opens doors for them. He opens doors from unknown directions.

That's how it is. But these two people, without being carried away by feelings of the nafs, being sound of mind, say within the religion of Islam: we cannot get along with each other. we fall into sin. In the way of Allah. We fear sin. When they say, come, let us separate, then to such people Allah, by His power, makes them free of need. Allah's bounty is vast. He is wise in His judgement, it says. Our Lord's bounty is vast.

If spouses cannot get along and separate from each other, Allah Almighty, by His power, makes each of them free of need, that is, each of them free of need. In every way, people not only in food and drink but in every way, our Lord makes them free of need. That is, the desires arising from people's lustful feelings, by Allah's power, He makes them free of those needs. Through the various feelings Allah Almighty has given people, spouses do not show need for each other. Through various feelings. They are also saved, partly by their own effort, from committing sin. As I said a moment ago, the spouses could not get along, but both fear Allah. Look, they say, if we stay like this with each other, we will suffer harm.

You will suffer harm from me, I will suffer harm from you. We fear Allah. Well, in this case our characters did not suit each other, let us separate for the sake of Allah, they say. All right? Allah Almighty makes such people free of need by His power. But if people, although under Allah's mercy, follow the desires of Satan and the nafs, and when they divorce think themselves free and without responsibility and resort to evil ways, they have committed sin.

What happened now? As long as you surrender to Allah, Allah Almighty by His power made you free of needs. He made you free of your most (?), your most spiritual needs. But Allah Almighty does not remove your will and use His own will, His own will, over you. Why does He not use it? Because what you (?) and drink, what you (?), already at that Elestü bi-Rabbiküm address was written for you as destiny. You will live this destiny of yours. If you have surrendered to Allah, if, fearing Allah, you have accepted marrying and divorcing, because you have observed Allah's verses, because you walked on the path your Lord showed, by Allah's wisdom over you you have become free of needs.

But if you followed the tunes of the nafs, then you live your own destiny. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin hayran yerah, it will write an atom's weight of good. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin şerran yerah, it will write an atom's weight of evil too. You know, with my partial will, through the deeds I do, I will earn reward and sin, and with the judgements and decisions I make, I will prove what kind of person I am. What does Allah Almighty say? Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? Yes.

If a person feels that he cannot master himself this way, then, as we explained in the verse above, if he fears Allah and comes to peace with his wife, it is better for him. What is this? A better state for himself. Why had they separated? Their characters did not suit each other. They clashed with each other through feelings of the nafs. Now, because he fears Allah, a person will break his own feelings of the nafs and put himself on a good path in his Lord's way. What happened? Did it not become better? Why were we worshipping? To earn our Lord's mercy. And what does the Prophet say in his hadiths?

If the worship you perform does not keep you from evil, it is a burden for you. Well now, why had we separated? We had clashed with each other through feelings of the nafs. We had separated because we also feared Allah. But we saw that we were going to go bad, we were going to go to adultery. Or the other one would go down bad paths because of the discord. One of the two will sign a peace. What will they say? Well, I'll follow you from now on. I'll break my own nafs, what else can I do, they'll say. And by breaking that nafs they will bring their feelings of the nafs to maturity. Did it not become better?

It became better. Yes.

Allah's bounty is vast. Because you cannot know from where Allah, who created the worlds, bestows what upon people. People must always do deeds to watch for Allah's bounty and to attain it. What kind of deeds? For me to watch for my Lord's bounty or His kindness to me, it is not lying here and saying, oh my Allah, You created me, I am Your servant, You will feed me. Then what? Deeds, deeds, deeds, through actual deeds you will seek means, means. Today He has spread the creatures before our eyes. All creatures seek their sustenance. Maybe you see it too. In those polar regions, those foxes, when the geese come, what they do to take their young, to take their eggs.

What do they do to them? They seek their sustenance from them. Those cheetahs, I mean, or the lions attacking those animals. It's all food. Actual deeds. So although we as humans are the noblest of all created beings, and although we are vicegerents of the dominion, as vicegerents we too will seek our Lord's mercy. Yes, our Lord's mercy, both worldly and otherworldly; while working in the world, with Allah's verses always before our eyes, deceiving no one, not violating their rights and dues, and always telling the truth, in our trade like this; in our worship too, besides our prayers, praying voluntary prayers, not being carried away by feelings of the nafs, not heeding Satan's temptation, within worship. And, if we can, praying the tahajjud prayer at night, if we can, remembering our Lord for a while.

How beautiful. Yes. All of this is so that we seek Allah's bounty and mercy. Our Lord says, were it not for your worship, what would We do with you? He is right, of course. Without worship, what would He do with me? Why did He create? He created so that His Essence would be known. So that His Essence would be known. He created other creatures too. He created the angels too. Was He not known through them? He was not known. He was not known through them. He was known only through man. Well, don't they say Allah? They say Allah, but Allah Almighty programmed them. Now look, what does it resemble? I have a computer. If I don't load a program into this computer, that computer won't run that program. So if Allah Almighty created that program in that computer within His own will, within those angels' own will, Allah Almighty, from the actions of the angels He created, removed the matter of reward and sin.

For them there is no matter of reward and sin. Whatever they are programmed for, the angels do that. But He left man free in his own will. Because He gave him a spirit (?). In the spirit there is fame, renown, pride, arrogance, grandeur, ego and worldly desire. A seven-headed monster. Seven-headed. Now man, by his own will, with this trait in that spirit, with a part from our Lord, through the actual deeds he does, through the decisions he makes, will wish for his Lord. So within that will of man, without his Lord putting any pressure on his own will in any way, without applying any despotism, without applying any oppression, what man gives his Lord by his own free will, He wrote for him as destiny. And in this case He created Paradise and Hell.

So man is very noble. And our Lord created man so that His Essence would be known. He willed that man, within his own will, know the Creator who created him. So in this case man became very noble. No being nobler than man was created, and in no being other than man was there a spirit. Yes.

So, to people who behave in ways that attain Allah's mercy, Allah grants favours to people from His grace and bounty. Allah is wise in His judgement. We cannot know what He does and why. We know only as much as He has made known. And do you know what they call this? Let me tell you. They call it ilm al-ladunni, knowledge from His presence. What is it? Ilm al-ladunni.

Hodja, could you say a little about ilm al-ladunni? Let me explain with verses. On the journey of Khidr (peace be upon him) and Moses, Khidr (peace be upon him) makes a hole in the ship.

Going to a town and killing the boy, repairing a ruined wall in a place although they gave them no bread.

In all three, Moses asks. You did an evil thing, he says.

With this third, he says, now parting from you has begun, but let me tell you why I did it, he says. Ahead there was a king, he says, who seized every sound ship. Allah Almighty (?) the ship of these oppressed people. So as not to let that king take it, He commanded me to make a hole in it, he says. He made a hole. Because it was damaged, he did not take the ship; it remained with the children. Look. He makes a hole in the ship. Why did you make a hole in it? Could you know? No. But our Lord knows, He commands him. Do it this way, He says. That is the wisdom. This wisdom is some events our Lord makes known.

For example, the many wisdoms of the verses, their meanings. What does it say now? To whom We give knowledge, We give wisdom, it says. What is this? To whomever He gives knowledge, I give him wisdom, it says. These are verses. So those people of knowledge have ilm al-ladunni. Because (?). (?) knows. Allah Almighty works through inspiration into the heart. He makes the wisdom known to him. This is ilm al-ladunni. Let me answer this for you from a verse too. Most people, it says, do not know inspiration. Yes. These are all verses. The verses of Allah.

Allah is wise in His judgement. That is, He knows why He does it. Surely Allah commands people what is right; of course Satan commands what is crooked, because He gave Satan permission until the Day of Judgement; the reason is that since Allah always commanded what is right, those who deny Allah also needed a guide; that is why Satan was given permission; and what did he say? I will set traps before Your servants who come to You. I will turn away from You Your servants who come to You. Since Allah Almighty, in (?), already knows what people will do, He says, take those who follow you, He says, I have given them all to you, He says.

With you and with them, He says, I will fill Hell, He says. Yes.

Allah Almighty, who (?) people's (?) for them as destiny, knows what all people may desire, what they may do, and, whatever state arises, what situations a person will desire in that state; since He knows, Allah, the Wise, declares His verses to people so that people (?) suffer injustice.

If people govern themselves by the verses. If they do not, they keep turning round and round in calamities. They turn around a whirlpool, a piece of wood keeps turning around that whirlpool round and round. Or they keep turning round like a mill horse.

Whoever realizes that Allah is Wise, and that Allah Almighty wills what is best for them, says that, willing it, He sent us His verses, and holds fast to Allah's verses, they attain both in this world and in the hereafter Allah's mercy. Yes.
