All things in the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. We have commanded you and those who were given the Scripture (Scrolls) before you (to fear Allah). If you deny, know that all things in the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. Allah is Self-Sufficient (Ghaniy) and Praiseworthy (Hameed).
Tafsir
All that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. The heavens and the earth and everything between them are created. If there is no other owner of the created things, if there is only one creator, it is Allah. This is the meaning of tawheed. It is (La ilahe illallah). There is no deity other than Allah. Allah, the One and Only One, is eternal and unique.
We are commanded to fear Allah, as He said to those before us, to those who were given the Book, and to us in His verse. Allah, the owner of all beings and the One who is (Hay), is eternal, and after introducing His Essence to human beings and proving His existence to human beings in every way, Allah, who will reveal His Verses to those before us and to us and finally to those after us, reminds us that He is eternal, that all beings are in need of Allah, that the people to whom He has revealed His command are free to obey or disobey His command, and that they are waiting for the day when they will be held accountable before Him, according to His Verse: O people! I am making My Verses clear to you so that you may not follow the path of those who disobeyed My command and fall into the same error. If you still do not obey My command and turn away from Allah and become rebellious, know that (whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah.) O people! When will you realize that you are in need of Allah, that you are helpless, and turn to the way of Allah and His Messenger (He is infinitely rich and worthy of all praise)?
Since Allah is the Creator out of nothing, He does not need anything, He has created His creatures to serve the people He loves so much.
Allah is worthy of praise. Because He is sovereign, wise, and all good attributes are attributed to Him, He has no equal and no likeness. The absolute power and owner of the universe.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nisa, verse 131. Look what our Lord says now: Whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. What does this mean? This means La ilaha illallah. This means Tawhid. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. That is, there is no god other than Him. Whatever has been created, from the atom to the globe, all belongs to Allah.
The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord, it says. That is, all matter, living and lifeless, their atoms, those nuclei, positively and negatively charged, neutron and proton nuclei, as they spin around their own axes, give off a sound. We cannot know these, we cannot hear them. That sound remembers Allah. Whichever of His attributes He wants remembered, Allah has His Essence remembered. Well, what is the reason, Hodja? Ah, what is the reason? A factory makes a product and stamps its brand on it. Allah Almighty too: whatever He created, from the atom to the globe, of those substances the atoms, those neutrons and protons, as they spin around their own axes, their giving off a sound, their remembering Allah, proves that it is Allah's creation, proves that there is no god other than Allah.
That is Tawhid. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah.
We commanded those given the Book before you, and you, to fear Allah, it says. Fear Allah. All created beings are in need of Allah. In helplessness. The people I addressed before you, I address you too, it says. Fear Allah, because even if mankind and jinn gathered, they could not harm Allah in any way. In this case, if Allah willed that His Essence be known and created you as (?) of His Essence, if He gave you a spirit from a part of Himself and held you as one addressed by His Essence,
you, like some nations who say, we are Allah's sons, Allah forbid, we are Allah's close ones, Hell's punishment will not touch us for more than three days, are we to resemble such people? Are we to rebel against Allah in this way? Are we in this way to belittle the Creator of the worlds and exalt our own nafs, and our own wishes and desires on the Creator who brought us from nothing, as if forcing Him to accept them, Allah forbid? We will know our place. We will know our place. We are created beings. We are what our Lord created. We are in need of Allah. Only through Him do we stand. Yes. Only through Him do we find life.
Only through Him do we continue our life. Otherwise, if you are left on your own, woe to you.
If you deny, know that whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. He says it again. Allah is boundlessly rich. Exceedingly worthy of praise. Why boundlessly rich? That is, there is no limit. All created things have a limit. But my Lord says: I am boundlessly rich. That is, there is no limit to this. What is the reason? The reason: He knows the secret of creating. He has the power to create. What does He say? In the verse He says: I say 'Be'. That is, I will it, and I create what I will, He says. So if He creates whatever He wills, He is boundlessly rich. It is this simple within the verses.
Yes. Well, what do you will to create? Nothing. Oh, but I invent electricity, I go to the moon, what am I doing? Well, all of it is knowledge you found within what Allah created. As much knowledge as our Lord taught Adam, people coming until the Day of Judgement will bring this knowledge, I mean, to light, and with this knowledge people will earn their living. They will find life. Look, were there computers before? We buy computers. People have multiplied. People shop with computers, they trade, or they sell (?) of knowledge. We tell it to you from here, we announce it. Yes. And who knows what else will come out, after us.
Now I want to say one more thing here. That is, they say, the old scholars wrote books; are you smarter than them? Now, did the old scholars have this knowledge, could they explain this knowledge, that is, was there this technology? No. Since it was not according to this technology, he interpreted and wrote it according to his own reason. But of course they give many meanings of the verses. To me, however, in today's technology, I mean, the proof that these molecules and substances remember Allah he did not know. Yes, all the worlds remember Allah. There is a verse too. All these worlds remember Allah, it says.
They remember Allah, besides whom there is none (?). In this case its proof, in today's technology, down to the nuclei of atoms, is known, that is, today. Then this creates a magnetic field. Plus and minus, these created nuclei, neutrons and protons, by spinning around their own axes, create a frequency. In this frequency their wishes and desires, all these frequencies, are programmed to Allah like a switchboard. In this case Allah Almighty is not (?) from the atoms He created. Not (?) from the atoms. What does He say? Until the Day of Judgement there is not a single atom that We do not know what it will not do. So all these between the heavens and the earth, surrounded with (?), all created beings are created within our Lord's decree.
Those atoms too are within His decree. If they were outside His decree, Allah's attribute of being Allah would be removed, those created beings would suffer. That being would suffer. Because all created beings find life from Allah. You know Allah has the attribute al-Hayy, all created beings find life from Allah. Allah, however, (?) His creatures. Outside of them. (?) by His Essence. Yes. In this case, if there is anyone to be praised, He says, it is I who am exceedingly worthy of praise, He says. Exceedingly. Yes. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. The heavens, the earth and what is between them are created.
If the created have no other owner, if there is one Creator, that is Allah. Here the meaning of Tawhid emerges. That is La ilaha illallah. There is no god other than Allah. Only that One, the Single Allah, is everlasting and unique. As He declares in His verse to those given the Book before us and to us, we were commanded to fear Allah. Fear Allah, He says.
Fear has many kinds. Of fear. For example, one person fears another person. He might beat me, he says.
Another does not fear the beating, but says, he might leave me hungry. Another does not fear being left hungry, but says, what if he pushes me away (?) altogether, I'd be alone, what would I do then. Fear has kinds too. We, beyond these fears, must know that we always need Allah, who is our owner, the One we need, and also must know that we must give thanks for all the blessings He has given us, and that if we cannot give that thanks He will punish us. We must know that if tomorrow we oppose Allah's command, when in this world we cannot bear the pain of even a splinter in our hand, how will we bear that punishment of Hell, that fire.
If we go further, if we leave the religion, Allah forbid, if we stay in Hell forever, what will we do? There is something even beyond this. Hodja, after staying in Hell permanently, can there be anything beyond that? By Allah, there is. There is, there is. Well, tell us so we can listen. Well, let me tell you. What if Allah were not there,
if He left you alone, if He left you alone and you were left subjected to a punishment,
and the master of that punishment had abandoned you and gone.
If you wished for death, there is no death. Wish for death, there is no death. If you said, let me escape the punishment, there is no remedy for the punishment.
Is this not the fear of being without Allah? Is this not the fear of being far from one's Master? Well Hodja, Hell is like this, isn't it. Is there this fear in Hell too? By Allah, there is. Now I will tell you about the punishment of Hell with a verse. There, it says, after burning for many thousands of years they no longer feel or taste. That is, Allah's mercy will reach them even there. Just as here, when they operate on a person, they give morphine, don't they. With that morphine the nervous system goes numb, and the person is cut and carved and doesn't feel the pain, right? So Allah Almighty will remove their nerve senses, and they will remain as eternal logs of Hell.
And is this not Allah's mercy to those eternally in Hell?
Yes.
If only you knew these fears, and if only you lived them.
As He declares in His verse to those given the Book before us and to us, we were commanded to fear Allah.
Since Allah, the Owner of beings and the Ever-Living, is everlasting, after making His Essence known to people and having people prove His existence in every way, to those before us and to us and finally to those after us, Allah, who will make His verses known, that He is everlasting, that all beings show need of Allah, that the people to whom He made His command known are free not to observe His command, and finally, according to His verse 'your return is to Allah', that they are awaiting the day when account will be given in His presence, reminding them of this. Awaiting the day when account will be given in His presence.
Where does one wait? After the command of Allah comes, one waits in the barzakh. What does He say? When We raise you at the second blast of the Trumpet, you will suddenly find yourselves at the gathering.
You will say, how long did we lie under the ground? Some of you will say a day, some (?) will say we lay less than a day, it says. Ask the honoured angels tasked with keeping count of how long you lay under the ground, says Allah Almighty. Yes.
Yes, good people, He says, so that you do not follow the path of those who do not obey My command and fall into the same error, I make My verses known to you clearly and plainly, He says, clearly and plainly. With what? Allah Almighty, with the Holy Quran, with sharia rulings. What does He say in the verse? There are some verses, He says, the meanings of these verses are firm, that is, sharia rulings? And some are ambiguous, He says. Those ambiguous verses, He says, only those with (?) in their hearts, He says, interpret them, He says. People who fall into the passion of being the leader. Yes.
If you still do not obey My command, and turn away from Allah and rebel, know that whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. That is, what does it say in the verse? They will taste all the consequences; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah. He created it, it is His. Allah Almighty, Hüve'l-evvelü ve'l-âhiru ve'z-zâhiru ve'l-bâtın, He is the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward, the Owner of these worlds and of the world of the hereafter. (?). In this case, since all created things belong to Allah, since all created beings on it will taste death too, all these created goods and property are Allah's property.
We, sustained with the provisions our Lord has given us, enough to carry on our lives on it, in order to prove what kind of people we are, came into the world to hold ourselves as witnesses before our Lord, before ourselves and before those around us. Yes.
Whatever is in the heavens and on earth belongs to Allah. O people! When will you realize that you are in need of Allah, that you are helpless, and return to the path of Allah and His Messenger? When? Look at people, pay attention. Chasing pleasure and amusement. Pleasure and amusement.
Today we look at people: in their five daily prayers, in their ablution, the woman covered, and the child beside her stark naked, uncovered. Do you know what this shows? Their own longings, what they could not live under the upbringing of mother and father, they live out on their own children.
Are they not responsible for them? Will they not be asked? They will be asked about exactly this. Yes.
Allah Almighty is boundlessly rich, exceedingly worthy of praise.
Since Allah creates from nothing, He has no need of anything. He created what He created so that they would serve the people He loves so much. In service. Allah is worthy of the praise of praises. Now, they say Allah is 'ulu', exalted. We say 'Uludağ' too. They say Allah is great. People say so-and-so is great too. But we say Allahu akbar. Nowhere is there a human being who is akbar.
He is great, with a greatness proper to His Essence. That greatness proper to His Essence, that akbar greatness, within that greatness, what is the proof of that greatness? His being Creator. Creator. Apart from all beings, none of His creations is capable of this. So since He is Creator, if they are not capable of creating this whole world, from the atom to the globe, living and lifeless, then that great One, Allah, who is akbar by His Essence, is great, and if He is the Creator, if He created these worlds, if He created us, if we are in need of Him, if He created us in need of His Essence, then that Great One cannot be opposed.
Even if mankind and jinn gathered, they could not overpower that Great One. In this case, in this case, if there is anyone to be praised, He is worthy of that praise. Qarun too used to boast about himself. I am the richest in Egypt, he says. The keys to his treasures, it says, forty people could barely carry. Every week he would put on his finest (?), appear before the Jewish people, show himself to them from his palace and speak. And the Jewish people would say, if only we were like him. And finally one day Allah Almighty sank that Qarun, who boasted of Allah's wealth and did not (?) Allah, into the depths of the earth together with his palace.
After that they said, good thing we were not in Qarun's place. So if there is anyone to be praised, it is Allah; if there is anyone to be loved, it is Allah; if there is anyone to be loved most, it is I, says Allah Almighty; if there is anyone to be feared, it is I, He says again. In this case, if we live these traits, then we become servants of Allah, we enter among Allah's sincere servants, His sincere servants. What is this sincere servant? If we love Allah most and fear Him most, in everything we do Allah comes to our mind and we always do our work according to the verses. We come into the state of the people this verse speaks of.
Neither any buying nor any trade keeps that person, He says, from My remembrance, He says. Oh, even in the shopping he does, Allah comes to his mind, he stops and does his shopping accordingly. While speaking, Allah comes to his mind, he speaks accordingly, according to the verses he speaks. If these people fear Allah like this, they attain this state. God willing, Allah grants all of you such states. We reform our nafs, under the light of the verses we become servants to our Lord and the community of the Prophet (peace be upon him). And in this way we attain both our Lord's mercy and the intercession of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
There is nothing without earning, without working. We will earn, we will work. In this world, without your earning, without your working, do they bring things and feed you? Do they give you money? So we too, as servants He created, will continue our worship toward our Lord, will correct our states of the nafs, and in this case, by doing things pleasing to Allah Almighty, will prove that our Lord created a rare being on earth. A rare being. What do the angels say? Will You create beings on earth who will shed blood, they say. And what does our Lord say? You cannot know what I know, He says. You cannot know what I know, He says.
How do the angels know that blood will be shed on earth? Because the Accursed is the father, the elder of the jinn. On earth, he says, there is not a (?) span of soil where my forehead has not touched in prostration to the Most Merciful. For this reason he takes the attribute Haris, that is, the (?) of worship. In this case he rises to being the teacher of the angels; on earth his people go astray, and go, He says, destroy your people, He says. And he destroys his people. From this the angels know that the people to be created on earth will also shed each other's blood; from this they understand.
But what does Allah Almighty say? You cannot know what I know. I will create such a being that I will not send down to it a part (?). Look, I programmed you. Without My programming them, those people will know Me, without seeing Me they will love Me, without seeing Me they will fear Me, and without seeing Me they will obey Me. And on that earth they will enter among the rare people, He says. (?), He shows the summit of creation to all His creatures. Man is at the summit of created beings. Yes.
