Translation
The hell is their dwelling. They will not find a place to flee from it.
Tafsir
Those who worship Satan, those who follow the footsteps of Satan, those who worship idols, polytheists and polytheists, who do not repent while they are in this world and go to the Hereafter in that state of rebellion, they will go to Hell, which is an evil place. They will not be able to escape from Hell and will not find a way out of it.
They will not be able to escape from it. Allah's knowledge encompasses the universe. No one can escape from His command. In one of the verses, Allah says: "Even if man and jinn gather together, they cannot harm Allah". In this respect, such people are wronging themselves and exchanging their eternal life for the lowly life of this world.
This is how Allah reveals His Verses to mankind in a clear and unambiguous manner. He protects people from all kinds of evil and guides them. Man, who has his will in his hands, takes responsibility for his actions by choosing his own path. Allah is exempt from imperfect attributes. He completes His mission on mankind by illuminating their path with all kinds of examples. The responsibility falls on the human being himself. May Allah give us all a good perception and enable us to understand the Verses of Allah.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah An-Nisa, verse 121.
"Their abode is hell. And they will find no place to flee and escape from it," says Allah Almighty.
The verses always confirm each other, don't they: every soul shall taste death, your return is to Me, He says. Go on then, run now — where will you run? Where would you run to?
When that person's life reaches his throat, when the world of the hereafter appears to him, when the door of repentance is closed too, when the noble angels Munkar and Nakir — Azrael (peace be upon him) takes his life and to those noble angels Munkar and Nakir hands it over — he sets off on a journey from which there is no return.
Not, as some say, that he even knows about his cat at home. Allah protect us. What are we saying? He supposedly even knows about his cat at home. Allah protect us. Wolves, birds, plants supposedly have a spirit.
With the words they learned from one another as superstition, how they resemble each other — setting falsehood against the truth, they try to go on the defensive against the truth.
If there were life in wolves, birds, plants — if there were a spirit — let's not say life — if there were a spirit: since the whole of spirit is Allah Almighty, since spirits are eternal in Paradise and in hell, since animals are gathered and take their rights from each other,
since, except the first created, the others will perish — since the spirits in these animals would also perish, spirits would be mortal. Spirits would be mortal. Spirits would be perishable.
And if there is a spirit in plants in the world too, what is the sin of that spirit in that plant? The world will put on its finest (?), and say: give me to the least of Your saints. That saint you call small did not look at you while in the world, so why should I give you to him now? He will say, and folding the world up like a rag, He will throw it into hell. Well then, what fault did those plants, that spirit, commit that they too entered hell? So spirits are immortal. Poor people who know nothing of these. I say it insultingly so that perhaps they will turn back. They will comprehend. Because when I say it sweetly, they stand up against you.
Yes. Perhaps they will investigate. They'll investigate and see the truth. This man is insulting so much, isn't he. Let's investigate this and see. Isn't there a verse about this? Let's set it against him and crush him, they'll say, and perhaps then they will see the truth.
We are not telling people stories. We are telling people, in the light of the verses, our Lord's verses. Listening or not listening is within your will, within your rank, within the degree of the covenant you gave your Lord. If what is said weighs on your nafs, and when you see the truth but realize you cannot do it, you run away. Don't run.
Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And man is capable. To man He says "insan." It comes from the root "unus." And "unus" means capable. Allah Almighty says it because He gave man capability from His spirit. That spirit is capable because the whole of spirit is Allah Almighty. Because He is all-knowing, all-powerful over everything. If He gave you a portion of it, you too are capable.
Is there a verse corresponding to this? There is. There is, there is. If it's not a verse, I say nothing.
The angels say to our Lord: on earth, will You create a being that will cause discord and shed blood? And our Lord says: you do not know what I know. There is a lot of meaning here. Let me say it briefly. The Beloved of the Almighty, the Prophet Muhammad, whom I created earlier — you do not know him. You know nothing of him. Then you do not know that you were created from his light either. Then you do not know that, giving him of His spirit, people were created. Then, because I gave those people of My spirit, the knowledge and will in them — their capability with partial will — you cannot know.
For He teaches Adam the things. The things. Then He calls the angels. Tell Me about the things, He says. My Allah, glory be to You. We cannot know anything but what You have taught us, they say. O Adam, tell Me about the things, He says. He begins to tell. Now do you see? He says.
Yes. In man there is capability above theirs too. Where does this capability come from? From his creation as the noblest of creation. Where does this so honored creation as the noblest of creation come from? It comes from His giving him of His spirit. So in no being other than man is there a spirit. Know this as such. But go into Islamic websites — oh, where haven't they put a spirit! And they aren't ashamed. They aren't ashamed. They read things they don't know from this and that person and write them. Instead of reading the book of every Tom, Dick and Harry, blessed man, read Allah's book, and if you will be of any benefit to people — if you know, it says, speak; if you don't, be silent.
Yes.
If you don't know, be silent, and don't harm the religion of Islam.
With those words you read from the books of this and that person, with those superstitions — if only you could know how much they contradict Allah's verses, and if only you could know how you bind those people with superstitions, and if only you could know what the punishment for this is in Allah's sight — if you could know that you fear Allah and His Messenger, you would never, in your own self, smile at such things. Thank you. Yes.
Interpreting the verses is not for the likes of you. I say it again. To be able to interpret the verses you must possess an inner knowledge. Work on your nafs. You need to reach the state of the nafs al-radiya, close to knowledge. Raised by your Lord, (?) — the counterparts of the verses, their meaning, and that inspiration you receive from your Lord, so you need to reach a state where you can interpret the verses. Otherwise, saying from this and that person, I have my Arabic, I have my grammar, you can only, giving their translation by attributing qualities to Allah like that, four hundred and some verses wrongly interpret.
I say this much. If there were one single shortcoming in what I say, they would make a laughingstock of me.
Is there no one educated at all, no one passing for a scholar at all? Yes, so let everyone know their place. Interpreting the verses, giving meaning, is one thing; being a hafiz of the Word is another. I am not a hafiz — look, I'm being honest — I am not a hafiz, I don't have Arabic, I'm being honest. I can't teach students either, it's not my nature, I say that too, but I am a person with the ability to interpret the verses, by my Lord charged with this duty. If you, with your Arabic, with your memorization, set out to give meaning to the verses, you will be caught by such a great voltage that you won't realize you have destroyed yourself; with your nafs and desire you will take on the torment of the hereafter.
Look, let me tell you something: I always explain the truth. I am a human being; even if I explain something wrong to you, because I am charged with duty, Allah inspires the right thing into your hearts, and I still earn a reward, I still earn a reward.
And when I explain the right thing — those are very rare — what does it say? Charged by his Lord. Even if he explains wrongly — he is human, after all — Allah Almighty inspires the right thing into the one facing him. In this case, because the one charged with duty is obliged to speak his Lord's word, look what Allah Almighty says about them in a verse. Who is better in speech than the one who tells of Allah? He says.
Yes. Under the pretext of telling of Allah, don't attribute qualities to Allah, and by attributing qualities to your Lord, saying "Allah said this," God forbid, don't turn Islam into superstitions.
Let's read this four-line paragraph again, then continue. Those who worship Satan, those who follow Satan's trail, those who worship idols, polytheist men and polytheist women — if, while in worldly life, they do not repent, and go to the world of the hereafter in that state, as rebels, what an evil place of return it is — into hell they enter. They cannot flee and escape from hell, and a place from which to get out of it they will not find. They can neither flee and escape, nor a place where they can rest find. Yes. Nor is there any escaping from there. In a verse Allah Almighty says: even if men and jinn gathered, they cannot flee and escape from His command.
They cannot harm Allah.
In this respect, such people are people who wrong themselves and exchange their eternal life for the base living of this world. A base living. How I see the world — let me tell you.
There is a garbage dump, a garbage dump. The trucks collect the garbage and empty it at the dump, don't they. Yes. Within those carrion smells there, because people are far from their Lord, those smells — the garbage at that dump — seem pleasant to them. The same smell. And a traveler passing in front of that dump, without realizing he is a traveler, starts to collect the garbage at that dump. While collecting that garbage, without realizing how his life is being wasted, when the command of the Truth comes, he leaves the garbage he collected right there. And finally he goes stark naked into the presence of Allah Almighty.
So while passing around that dump — except for your own need — from around that dump, or from its path, without straying from your path, on a straight path, if you go to the end of the road remembering your Lord, if you go giving thanks for the blessings He gave, then without looking at this garbage-dump world, within your Lord's command, you will attain your Lord's mercy.
What is it? In this respect such people are people who wrong themselves and exchange their eternal life for the base living of this world. Base living. It looks splendid to people. Desire of the nafs, pride and arrogance, glory, fame. He boasts of the blessings our Lord gave. Unaware that what befell Korah will one day befall him — although Allah Almighty shows Korah to people as a lesson, leaving that out of his imagination — the person unaware that tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, just as Korah sank into the earth in the world, he too will, in the hereafter, deprived of mercy, deprived of our Lord's mercy, subject to His torment, sink into hell.
Yes. So while time is in your hands, come, repent, turn to your Lord. Reform your nafs. No person should lose hope in Allah. What does Allah Almighty say? Only the unbelievers lose hope in Allah. So why do the unbelievers lose hope in Allah? As we said, you know, they will not see their Lord. That is, the Lord they imagine does not exist. There is one single God. La ilahe illallah. There is tawhid. So because they are outside this tawhid, because they do not know that Allah as Allah, since they gave a (?) like this in their destiny, and since they will never again know, they do not turn to that Allah.
Because he waits for the Lord of his imagination, he loses hope in that Allah. So that he can wait for the Lord he awaits in his imagination. In that crucible, in that world, they remain subject to eternal torment.
Yes.
So Allah thus declares to people, openly and clearly, in His verses. Openly and clearly.
He protects people from every kind of evil and shows them the way. Why? Because His mercy in the universe is for everyone. Why? Because He gave people of His spirit. Then, He created people as the noblest of creation and sent them to a hidden world, that is, a world where His essence is not seen. So that person may not say: O my Lord, You sent me to a hidden world, a world where Your essence is not seen. You left me unaware of Your essence. So that you may not say: how would I know You created me — look, He shows them the way with His verses. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes; in no way can any person attribute qualities to our Lord. He will not be able to.
Because all the questions he would ask will have appeared within the attribute of Allah Almighty's divinity. People will be cut off from questions. Yes. The person whose will is in his hands, by choosing his own path, will bear the responsibility for what he has done. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah, ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. According to the verse "What you have earned today is the counterpart of your own two hands," without any injustice being done to you today, you will be called to account for what you earned as the counterpart of your two hands.
The person whose will is in his hands, in choosing his own path, bears the responsibility for what he has done. Allah, however, is free from deficient attributes. By holding a light to people's paths with every kind of example, His duty toward people He completes. He completes it. The responsibility is laid on the person himself. Yes. May Allah give us all a good comprehension and grant us to understand Allah's verses.
In the farewell sermon of the Prophet (peace be upon him): O my ummah, to you, he says, did you tell of my Lord? You told. Did you tell? You told. Did you tell? he says. You told. Be witness (?). And I tell you my Lord's command.
Together with you, my Lord is witness to this. Yes.
