Tafsir
It is narrated that during a raid, a person who was in enemy territory, when he said the word of martyrdom (la ilahe illallah Muhammadun Rasulullah) and greeted the Muslims, was slaughtered by Osama bin Zayd, thinking that he had greeted them out of fear, and his herd was seized. When they returned, the incident was reported to the Prophet. The Prophet (PBUH) was very saddened by this incident and said, "Did you cut his heart open and look at it and realize that it was out of fear? When Osama repented and begged, the Prophet asked Allah for forgiveness for Osama and ordered Osama to free a slave. They say that this verse was revealed after this incident.
When you go out to fight in the way of Allah, there are Muslims in enemy territory. When they introduce themselves to you, they are your brothers, do not touch them. Be very careful and do not slaughter a fellow Muslim without understanding or listening. This is a great sin in the sight of Allah. A person who utters the Shahadah cannot be slaughtered, even if he is in enemy territory or out of fear.
Allah (swt) tells people that before Islam came, people were ignorant of Allah, and with Islam people came to life, and you were like that. That is, you were ignorant of Islam and Allah. You do not know whether they will be guided as you have been guided.
Do not plunder in war by making the life of this world seem sweet to people. Do not take the property of innocent people and Muslims. In the sight of Allah, booty is innumerable. As long as people obey Allah by submitting to His command.
O people! Do not abandon Allah's commandment over you by being deceived by the temporal worldly blessings. Wherever you are in the world and in whatever situation you may be, do not deviate from the truth and the Ayat of Allah so that Allah may be with you.
Allah is aware of all that we do. Who knows the intentions of our hearts and makes us witnesses to ourselves by creating causes accordingly.
So whether we are alone, or among people, or at night, or during the day, or in a cellar, or in any remote corner of the universe, wherever we are, let us know that we are under constant view, that we are being watched, that our actions are constantly being written down, and that we cannot escape from these actions in any way, even in an evasive way, and let us organize our actions accordingly.
In this case, we are obliged to obey the verses of Allah (swt). May Allah (swt) make us all servants of His Master and ummah of His Messenger. May Allah have mercy on him and add him to the group of those whom He loves.

That's all the problem is for you.
In verse 94 of Surah An-Nisa, Allah Almighty says: O you who believe! When you go out to fight in the way of Allah, understand well and listen. To the one who greets you with peace, coveting the fleeting gain of worldly life, do not say: you are not a believer. For with Allah there are countless spoils. You too were like this before, and Allah was gracious to you, so understand well and listen; surely Allah is aware of all that you do, He says.
So that we can understand this better, we will give you some examples. It happens in our time too, for example there are provocation incidents. In these incidents traitors, to divide the nation and stir up trouble, say lying words. And those who believe these words plunge everything into corruption. Or else people, to those who speak the truth, say: you are a liar, you are not telling the truth, and they either tear into him, or kill him, or smear and stain his name. Allah Almighty created man honorable, honorable. Lekad halakne'l-insâne fî ahseni takvîm. I created man in the best form, He says.
And He made man the vicegerent on earth. Yes, He created people prone to error, but He created them incomplete and mentally fallible so that the people He created this way, knowing their helplessness through the mistakes they make against Him, would ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness. But because people were created very honorable, to reduce their mistakes as far as possible, and to reduce these mistakes, they must also listen to the verses of Allah Almighty and be ruled by them. Faced with any incident, when he hears any word, he should understand it well, listen, and only then make his decision.
No, someone came and said a word about so-and-so. If you immediately believe that person and insult the one in front of you, you, unknowingly, He says, will attack a people and then regret it, He says. Yes.
According to one report about this verse, during a raid a man who was in enemy territory recited the testimony of faith, and when he greeted the Muslims with peace, Usama ibn Zayd, thinking he greeted out of fear, killed him, and his flock was seized. This man's. When they returned, the incident was reported to the Prophet. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was very grieved by this. He rebuked him: did you split open his heart and look, to know it was out of fear? When Usama regretted it and pleaded, the Prophet asked Allah's forgiveness for Usama and ordered Usama to free a slave. They say this verse was revealed upon this incident.
Yes. What does He say? O you who believe! When you go out to fight in the way of Allah, understand well and listen. To the one who greets you with peace, coveting the fleeting gain of worldly life, do not say: you are not a believer. For with Allah there are countless spoils. That is: you, me, we, I am at war with your people, but although I know you are a Muslim, or because you called yourself a Muslim to me out of fear, if he also has a flock, do not kill him coveting his flock, He says. Elhamdülillah. (?) Yes, if you say you are not a believer and covet his goods or his property, and, let me put it this way, take his goods from him, (?) with Allah the spoils are greater.
If you, with intention for the truth, for Allah's sake, even if he was on the enemy's side, even if he said it out of fear, you cannot touch him. Even if he said it out of fear.
When going out to fight in the way of Allah, there are Muslims in enemy lands. Aren't there? In Germany, in France, in Italy, in England there are. There are Muslims in every part of the world. Now in a war of one state with another, you cannot see them all as enemies. As enemies.
When they make themselves known to you, they are your brothers; do not touch them. How will he make himself known to you? He will say: La İlahe İllallah Muhammeden Resulullah. Or what will he say? Eşhedü en lâ ilâhe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühû ve Resulühü, he will say. That is how he will make himself known to us. From then on he is your brother; you cannot touch him. Even if there is rebellion in his heart and he affirmed it only with his tongue, you cannot touch him. Yes.
Be very careful, and do not kill a Muslim brother of yours without understanding, without listening. This deed is a very great sin with Allah.
According to the verse in which He says a believer can never kill a believer, it can only happen by accident, our Lord tells us that the punishment of those who kill a believer deliberately is very great, that they will receive very great torment in the hereafter, in the verses we have covered. So the sin of this is very great.
Even in enemy territory, even out of fear, a person who recites the testimony of faith cannot be killed. Allah Almighty, telling people that before Islam came, people were unaware of Allah, and that with Islam people found life, says: you too were like that. How does He say it? Let us read the verse once more. How were we like that too? What does He say? To the one who greets you with peace, coveting the fleeting gain of worldly life, do not say: you are not a believer. For with Allah there are countless spoils. You too were like this before; before, that is, before Islam came, you too were polytheists, or without religion, or idolaters, or non-Muslims, that is. Yes, you too were like this.
While you were like this, Allah was gracious to you. That is, He sent His verses. He sent them. So understand well and listen. Surely Allah is great. He is aware, He says, of what you do. Yes.
That is, you knew nothing of Islam and of Allah. Just as guidance reached you, you cannot know whether guidance will reach them or not, He says. And in a verse Allah Almighty says: do not mock any people. Perhaps that people is better than you, He says. Yes, when he repents tomorrow, who knows that he will not attain a mercy from Allah above you? O people, do not be deceived by the fleeting worldly (?) and abandon Allah's command over you. What is it? The command over us: do not kill a believing brother, a brother in Islam, coveting worldly goods. Wherever in the world you are and in whatever situation you find yourselves, do not depart from righteousness and from Allah's verses, so that Allah is with you.
Yes, if we want Allah Almighty to be with people, if we want Allah Almighty to help people, if we want Allah Almighty to come to our aid in our (?) moments, then in our times of plenty, not in our hard times, in our times of plenty, it is to remember our Lord, not to depart from His path, not to depart from righteousness, to help Allah's servants. Then in your hard times too Allah will come to your aid. In your hard times. It is not possible that Allah would not come to your aid. Yes. Allah is aware of all that you do. He is the One who knows the intentions in our hearts and, creating causes accordingly, makes us witnesses over ourselves.
The One who knows the intentions in our hearts, He says. That is, according to our wishes and desires, according to the actual deeds we will do, Allah Almighty, who creates causes, makes us witnesses over ourselves in the best way through the deeds we do. So, whether we are alone or among people, whether by night or by day, or in a cellar, in any remote corner of the universe, wherever we may be, knowing that we are constantly in view, that we are watched and that what we do is constantly written down, that we cannot escape what we do in any way, not even by some loophole, let us arrange our actions accordingly.
Mevlana puts a shorter way to this as follows: either appear as you are, or be as you appear. Yes, in this case we are obliged to obey the verses of Allah Almighty. Why? Because where could we go? We have no way of getting out of Allah's presence to a place He cannot see. We have no way out. What does He say in the verse? Even if you went to the most remote corner of the universe, even if you went to the most remote corner of the universe to escape death, We would still find you there, He says. So we cannot in any way escape from Allah Almighty. What does He say again in the verse? Every soul shall taste death, and your return is to Me, He says.
So we have no way out at all. In this case, if the world looks rosy to us and we follow the taghut, if with the pleasant side of our nafs we follow the devil and take him, you know, over our heads, we forget Allah's commands, and without realizing that we live far from Him, one day when the command of the Truth comes to pass, that is, when death comes upon us, then saying 'alas' is of no use. You will have set out on the road to a world from which there is no return. In this case we are obliged to obey the verses of Allah Almighty. May Allah Almighty make us all His servants and the community of His Beloved, and may He join us to all those who attain the mercy of Allah Almighty and enter among those He loves.
Yes.
