When you are greeted with a greeting (Salam/Peace), return the greeting with a better one or return it with the same. Indeed, Allah takes account of everything.
Tafsir
By greeting each other, people pray for each other, asking for Allah's mercy on each other. According to the verse, "Spread the greetings of Allah on the earth", you should greet each other and wish that they are under the mercy of Allah and that they are benevolent. And let the one who receives the greeting return it with a better greeting (wa alaikum salaam wa rahmatullah). He should give a better greeting than the greeter. And when he adds "peace be upon him", he is responding with a better response than the one who says "peace be upon him".
Or the greeter should say, "Peace be upon you and mercy be upon you," and the receiver should say, "Peace be upon you and mercy be upon you and blessings be upon you. In this case, the person who receives the greeting is more beautiful than the greeter.
When greeting someone with the greeting (salaam alaikum wa rahmatullahu wa barakat alaihu wa barakat alaihu wa barakat alaihu), the recipient of the greeting (wa alaikum salaam wa rahmatullahu wa barakat alaihu wa barakat alaihu wa barakat alaihu) will respond in kind.
When Allah tells us to greet one another, we understand that Muslims are brothers. As brothers, they are to wish each other good health and well-being, as well as Allah's mercy and blessings. When these things are said to each other, Allah's name will be mentioned. Allah (swt) will give rewards to those who mention His name, and will make their work better. This is where the beauty of salaam will emerge.
(Allah is the One who seeks the account of all things.) If Allah did not seek and ask for the account of what people or His creatures do, the creatures would be left alone and Allah would be indifferent to His creatures. It is clear from this verse that Allah is the One who is not aloof from His creatures even for a moment, but is the One who is aware of their condition and is the One who informs them. In this respect, Allah values manners and etiquette, order and orderliness. He is the one who watches, sees and hears His creatures and follows them under His sovereignty. This verse shows how Allah (swt) keeps things tight and how He is connected to His creatures.
May Allah (swt) grant us all a good understanding and comprehension, and may He grant us the ability to be a servant to His Essence and an ummah to His Messenger.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nisa, verse 86: When you are greeted with a greeting, greet with something better than it, or return the same. Surely Allah takes account of everything. Of everything. Someone gave you a greeting. He said selamün aleyküm. That is, may Allah's mercy be upon you. And you said ve aleyküm selam, you returned the same: may it be upon all of us. I said. Well, if you add other kinds of words to the greeting when you greet him, you will have greeted him with something better. What will you say? Selamün aleyküm, and ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü.
May Allah's mercy and blessing also be upon you. You will say. You will greet with something better. Yes, when people greet one another, by exchanging greetings they ask Allah's mercy for one another and pray for one another.
Muslims are brothers. Even if one believer is at one end of the world and another at the other end, the two are brothers. Those from the same womb are siblings by birth. They may not be brothers. For example, like Abel and Cain. Although from the same womb, they were not of each other. They were not brothers. Yes, why not brothers? Since Abraham's father was a disbeliever, what does it say? Allah Almighty: O Abraham, do not be among the ignorant. Why? Abraham said of his father, I will ask Allah's mercy for you. And Allah Almighty says: O Abraham, do not be among the ignorant, he is not of you.
Noah's son too, well, did not obey his father and went as a disbeliever. Allah Almighty says: O Noah, he is not of your loins. Is he perhaps, he says, my wife's? He got this from someone else. O Noah, as you think, it says (?). Those who follow you are of your loins, those who don't are not of your loins. Yes. So even if one believer is at one end of the world and another at the other end, the two are brothers. Why are they brothers? Because to the One Allah, with the same faith and the same feeling, they lay their foreheads in prostration to the Most Merciful. In this respect they are brothers.
And when they meet one another, what a beautiful prayer they make for each other. Selamün aleyküm: may Allah's peace be upon you, he says. His peace. Yes.
Spread Allah's peace on earth. Allah Almighty: spread peace on earth. That is, save the earth from strife, (?). If you become brothers, that is, brothers with the same feeling, the same belief, the same faith, then when peace spreads, well, the earth turns into a festive mood. To whom is the greeting given? To Muslims. The greeting is not given to a non-Muslim. But one prays for him. That is, in the prayer one says: may Allah reform you. (?), to the Prophet Christians, Jews would give the greeting; what would they say? Es-sâmu aleyküm. The Prophet, (?), would say: ve aleyküm (?).
One day Omar said: O Messenger of Allah, these people are wishing you death. Sâm, death. They are wishing you death. And he says: O Omar, I too say, may death be upon all of us. Won't every soul taste death, he says. Yes. That is, they are people with that much hatred against Islam. That is why the greeting is not given to them, but you say, may Allah reform you. Yes, you say, may Allah reform you.
And after he is reformed, then you say, may Allah have mercy on you, after he is reformed.
Spread Allah's peace on earth. Say selamün aleyküm. Wish that they be under Allah's mercy and that they be safe and sound. Yes.
If the person receiving the greeting responds with something better and says ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullah, he will have given a better greeting than the one who greeted. And by adding rahmetullah, he will have answered with a better reply than the one who said selamün aleyküm. Or we greeted saying selamün aleyküm ve rahmetullah. And the receiver said ve aleyküm, ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü. The one who received the greeting answered better than the one who gave it. Again, when greeting, he greeted saying selamün aleyküm ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü. And the receiver said ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü.
He answered with the same. With the same. From Allah telling us, greet one another, we understand that Muslims are brothers. As brothers they will both wish one another health and well-being and wish for Allah's mercy and blessing. When these are said to each other, Allah's name will be mentioned and remembered, and Allah will both give reward to those who remember His name and make their affairs easy. The beauty of the greeting will come from this. Yes. Allah Almighty, to the one who thus mentions his Lord, remembers his Lord, yes, His reward He will give. Reward.
Allah Almighty takes account of everything.
If He did not take account of everything, His attribute of Judge would be lifted from Him. Allah Almighty. When He says everything, even (?) He asks, He seeks the account. Why? He lets no injustice be done to anyone, not by a hair's breadth. Even animals will be gathered in the hereafter. After they take their rights from one another, except the first created ones, these will vanish. Yes. If Allah did not seek, did not ask account of what people or His creatures did, beings would be left to run wild. And Allah would have been indifferent to His creatures. Allah forbid. As understood from this verse, Allah, not (?) from His creatures for a single moment, is the One who knows their states and provides for them.
In this respect Allah values manners and propriety, order and regularity, very highly, watches His creatures in His presence and, under His rule, they are followed. Yes. Thank you.
These events show how firmly Allah Almighty holds the matter, how He is connected with His creatures. He is present and watching everywhere. Not (?) from His creatures for a moment.
This whole universe (?) the seven heavens (?). Men, jinn, angels, all the created beings we don't yet know, atoms, are under Allah Almighty's rule. Within His awareness. Within His power. Yes.
In this respect Allah values manners and propriety, order and regularity, very highly, and watches His creatures in His presence and follows them under His rule. These events show how firmly Allah Almighty holds the matter, how He is connected with His creatures. What do we say? In the verse Allah Almighty says: The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord. All these magnetic or anti-magnetic substances, all matter, the atoms of that matter and the (?) inside, neutrons and protons, make a sound when they spin around their axes. Although we don't hear it, Allah Almighty, in such a harmony, makes them dance around one another's axes that He makes them remember Him.
Whichever of His attributes, whichever of His beautiful names He will have it remember, well, that matter He makes remember that. So: the heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord. The verse. So those substances, those atoms, that DNA chain, so small it can't be seen by the eye, under a (?) those DNA seen after being magnified thousands of times, if they remember their Lord, neither is their Lord free of them, nor are they free of their Lord. May Allah Almighty grant us all good understanding and comprehension. May He grant and make easy for us to be servants to Him and the nation of His Beloved, we wrote.
Yes.
