Fight in the way of Allah. You are only responsible for yourself. And encourage the believers, too. Thus, Allah will break the power of the disbelievers. (Allah will prevent the deniers from hurting you with their power). Allah has more power and Allah’s punishment is more severe.
Tafsir
So fight in the way of Allah. Do what you have been commanded. My Messenger, I have sent you to convey the truth.
Fighting in the way of Allah is material and spiritual. Invite people to Allah and announce Allah's commands to people in the way of Allah. You shall not be held responsible for those who do not judge by the Verses of Allah and for the evil they do.
(Encourage the believers) that they should tell the commandments of Allah. Here it is emphasized that believers have a duty from Allah. We have explained the believers in our previous lessons. If we talk briefly here, a believer is a person who has embraced Islam, struggled with his/her nafs, reformed his/her nafs for the sake of Allah in the way of Allah, and reached the level of Nafs Mutmainnah and his/her nafs is called a believer. As it says in the twenty-seventh verse of Al-Fajr Sûra and the verses following it, these are the people to whom it says, "O soul that has become contented, enter Paradise among My servants, with your Lord pleased with you and you pleased with your Lord." These are the believers. These are the believers. Encourage them to tell the truth and fight in the way of Allah.
The meaning of war here is material and spiritual. Material warfare is when people prepare for war and fight against oppression for the sake of Allah. Spiritual warfare is when people do not give up their cause in the way of Allah and try to enlighten and explain the commandments of Allah to people. Encourage the believers to fulfill Allah's commands in the way of Allah, both materially and spiritually.
(In this case Allah will break the power of the disbelievers and prevent them from harming you with their power). Allah (swt) created the worlds in a program. No one has the power to disrupt Allah's program. These worlds will complete their course within this program until the Day of Judgment. In this case, if the power had been left to the powerful people, they would have turned the world upside down and made mischief. In this verse, Allah says that He will break their power, that you should resist against such people who will wreak havoc on the earth and commit oppression, and that We will give them (two or three plagues) every year, and with these plagues they will be left to their own devices, and that We will protect the oppressed and prevent them from harming you.
(Allah's power is more formidable and His punishment more severe) Surely Allah is all-powerful. None of His creatures can ever harm Him. In this respect, if those who are outside the light of faith and who think they are very powerful overstep Allah's justice and try to commit injustice, Allah (swt) says in one of His Verses, "We will encompass them little by little from unknown directions". He makes such people shoot themselves with their own hands. Allah, the Almighty, gives them calamities. These calamities are meant to awaken people to their senses and awaken them to the fact that the calamities given to them are an unstoppable force by their Lord.
If they do not learn from these events and go to the Hereafter as rebels against Allah and without faith, then surely Allah's torment will be more severe. For the torment of the earth is temporary and the suffering of man ends with his death. But the torment of the Hereafter in its eternal life is permanent. In this respect, Allah's punishment is more severe.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nisa, verse 84: So fight in the way of Allah!
(?), those who emigrated from Mecca the Honoured to Medina the Radiant,
would say: O Messenger of Allah, let us fight. And the Prophet would say: no verse has come to us from Allah Almighty. When will it come, they would ask, when? People were patient. Because the hypocrites spread rumours. To drive Islam to revolt, they would say: they have plundered your houses, your goods have been dumped on the market, they are selling them. Yes, even if houses are plundered, even if goods are dumped on the market, let faith not be plundered. Let trust in Allah not be shaken. All of it is property Allah created. Job (?) for 40 years among worms, among diseases. He fell from wealth to (?), into utter poverty.
But he never compromised with his Lord. And finally Allah Almighty rewarded him with many times more than his wealth. These were the blessings of this world, temporary. But the blessing of the hereafter is endless. Yes. So don't you get carried away by worldly blessings, saying my goods will go, my property will go, and go against Allah's command. What does it say? So fight in the way of Allah. You are not held responsible for anyone but yourself. Of course. Everyone, everyone is responsible for himself. Everyone. Nobody is responsible for anybody else.
And encourage the believers too. Encourage them. Perhaps Allah will break the might of the disbelievers. Will break the might of the disbelievers. He will keep them from harming you with their might. Allah's might is stronger and His punishment more severe. Yes.
So, it says, fight in the way of Allah. This fight is not necessarily a fight with weapons, swords, horses, cannons, rifles. Fighting against falsehood, fighting against injustice. fighting to invite people to the truth, fighting to explain something right, that is, striving; all of it counts as fighting in this case. When we say fight, let it not necessarily be understood as war; it has various senses, of course.
My beloved, I sent you so that you would convey the message. Here, fighting in the way of Allah is material and spiritual. Invite people to Allah. We say it anyway. In the way of Allah, make Allah's commands known to people. For those who are not ruled by Allah's verses, and for the evils they do, you are not held responsible. why are you not held responsible?
In the (?), at Qalu Bala, every human being made a covenant with Allah Almighty.
Their wishes were given to them as their destiny. According to the verse, you cannot will unless We will, there is no created being at all that could change those written destinies. Could change the written destinies. This is not possible. If there is any force that could have the power to change it, that is Allah. But since Allah Almighty too does not take people's will away from them and exercise His own will over His servants, He now says: what is written, is written, has been written, and with Us there is a book preserved in the Preserved Tablet, to which nothing is later added and from which nothing is taken away.
That is, everyone was given his destiny according to his own desire and wish, their destinies were written, characters were given according to them, and in this case these worlds were programmed with a program; if there is a single force that could break it, it is Me, but now such a word has come from Me too. That is, Paradise and Hell. Yes, in this case how are people responsible for one another? Through enjoining what is right. otherwise they are not responsible for what others do. Because everyone has a wish he gave to Allah Almighty in the (?) and a destiny he had written for himself according to that wish.
No one can change it, and so no one can be held responsible for what others do. What a beautiful order our Lord has set up. He has set up a very beautiful order. Flawless, flawless. Yes. And encourage the believers too. Let them also tell of Allah's commands. That is, enjoin what is right. Allah Almighty does not call anyone to account for what He has not made known. In this case people, people, those who know, or the scholars will tell it. Scholars. But in every age, at all times there are the superstitious. They attack the scholars. Because the truths the scholars tell contradict what the superstitious believe is right.
So, because the superstitious believe their superstitions are right, and the truths contradict them, they flare up. They never use their reason. So we tell them: use your reason a little. Doesn't Allah Almighty say so? Do you never use your reason? Do you never reflect? Do you never think?
They even slandered the great scholars of their time. They accused them of heresy. They had the founder of a school like Imam Azam thrown into prison. That is why digesting this truth is a bit hard. A bit hard, very hard against these (?). Let's not say a bit; very hard. Yes. But I have advice for them. At least Allah's verse, my advice too, my advice reminds them of Allah's verse, and they are ruled by Allah's verse. That is, they use their reason a little. A little. That is, hearsay, the words of this one and that one, let them try to compare them with the words the scholars tell.
And encourage the believers too. Let them also tell of Allah's commands. here it is emphasised that the believers are charged with a duty by Allah. Yes.
Encourage the believers too, it says. The believers too. That's how it is in the verse. So a believer is someone who has risen to the nafs mutmainna, become aware of the manifestations, reached the state of (?). These are people for whom there is no turning back, that is, who do not go to kufr, whose nafs does not fall to its other states, and they tell the truth. Yes. A believer, we explained it in our earlier lessons, here if we mention it briefly: someone honoured with Islam, who struggles with his nafs, and in the way of Allah for Allah reforms his nafs and has become nafs mutmainna, is called a believer.
As in Surah Al-Fajr too, 27 to 30, in the verses: O soul at rest, your Lord pleased with you, you pleased with your Lord, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise: these are the people it speaks of, the believers. O soul at rest; where does it come to rest? The fourth state of the nafs. it happens when it comes to know the manifestations, don't forget. Until then everyone has doubt. But this doubt doesn't mean that these people, well, are bound for Hell or will go as non-Muslims or such, Allah forbid. There can be doubt. Because the unseen world; he is responsible only for his faith, his declaration of faith and the worship he performs.
with that he gets through. That is, he passes to the hereafter as a Muslim. Just as some people have no house at all and rent, some have one house, some two houses, some a yacht, some a villa, some a summer house, just as some have (?) farms, well, you too, if you reform your nafs within Islam, nafs lawwama, from nafs ammara to nafs lawwama, from nafs lawwama to nafs mulhima, from nafs mulhima to nafs mutmainna if you rise, then of course, like your earnings in this world, your earnings in the hereafter grow likewise. The reason for the growth: as you break the evils in your nafs, you will turn to good deeds and commit fewer sins.
Then your earnings will be greater. Just as in this world, when your income is higher, you buy whatever you want, there too in return for your good deeds Allah Almighty will grant you abundant rewards. So we must break the evils of the nafs. The nafs always shows us in this world the way of Satan, the ways that will drag us into the swamp of this world. But faith, reason, always show us Allah's ways. In this case it reforms the nafs. If we don't follow its desires, if we walk the path Allah has shown within the gates of His mercy, we always earn reward, of course. Then our earnings increase. In the hereafter Allah Almighty grants us great rewards.
Yes.
The person who, in the way of Allah, for Allah, reforms his nafs and becomes nafs mutmainna is called a believer.
As we explained for Surah Al-Fajr, we say. O soul at rest, your Lord pleased with you, you pleased with your Lord, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise: that is the person it speaks of. These are the believers. Encourage them too. Encourage them too. Let them tell the truth. Let them fight in the way of Allah. In the way of Allah. That is, as I said earlier, not necessarily fighting with swords and such. We said the meaning of fighting here is material and spiritual. Material fighting is the fighting done by people preparing for war, in the way of Allah, for Allah, against oppression.
Spiritual fighting is that of the person who, not giving up his cause in the way of Allah, explains Allah's commands to people and tries to enlighten them. So encourage the believers too: in the way of Allah, materially and spiritually, let them carry out Allah's commands. Allah's commands, that is, remind them of Allah's verses. perhaps Allah will break the might of the disbelievers.
He will keep them from harming you with their might.
Allah Almighty, in His verse, says: during battle, (?) your feet on the ground. That is, don't you dare get scared and flee.
If you fight before the enemy with steadfastness and patience, surely Allah is your helper. Because Allah will protect His religion until the Day of Judgement. Through whom will He protect it? He will protect it through Muslims. Yes. He will keep it going. So he stands firm on his feet before that enemy. That is, he is not a coward and does not flee the line. A person who battles at the cost of his life, for Allah's religion, for his homeland, his honour, his nation, such a person. How beautiful. You can say that of him, if he dies, if he becomes a martyr. He is alive. Yes. Allah is their helper.
Allah says: first, from among you He takes the beloved, it says. That is, He takes those who love Allah. Those are the martyrs. The Muslims, at the first assault, you see, seem to be crushed. Actually not. Those who love Allah leave from among them one by one, the martyrs. They become, in a stronger way, reinforcement for those left behind. Those martyrs who are alive, those martyrs it says are provided for from places you do not know, as in many wars today, likewise, in that war too they again reinforce those who remain alive. And Allah Almighty breaks the might of those people.
So, as long as a person lives for Allah, holding on to Allah's verses. However long a person lives in this world, according to the verse, in the end, it says, every soul shall taste death and your return is to Me, it says. Your return is to Me. In this case, if the return is to Allah, live a thousand years if you want, ten thousand years if you want, in the end you will finally taste this death. Rather than tasting death and going (?), it is far better to go from this world as a man. A man. You know, when they die, at the funeral stone they say 'with the intention for a man'; to be a man like that.
To go alive and to win life. To taste death and win life. Of course, a world that is not found.
Yes.
No one has the power to break this program of His. What does it mean? Perhaps Allah will break the might of the disbelievers, He will keep them from harming you with their might. Allah Almighty created the worlds within a program. All of it is programmed. No one has the power to break His program. The worlds will complete their course until the Day of Judgement. Until the Day of Judgement. Every second, every second by the program. Years, months, weeks, days, hours, seconds, minutes and seconds by the program. In this case, if power had been left to the people in government, if power were left, they would turn the world upside down and corrupt it.
What is meant in this verse by Allah perhaps breaking their might is: against such people who will drown the earth in corruption and do oppression, you (?). According to the verse where He says We give them two or three calamities every year, through these calamities they are thrown back on themselves, and He protects the oppressed: We keep them from harming you, He says. Yes. Moreover, Allah Almighty, those who will prepare for war, who will raid a state, or harbour ulterior designs on that state and oppress it, states that will oppress with their might, by giving them tremendous tsunamis, storms, gales, floods, volcanoes, many calamities, earthquakes, He throws them back on themselves.
He says: they lay a trap, and We lay a trap for them, but We are the best of those who lay traps. How beautiful. The oppression of the one who would oppress, He brings it down on his head, and there He protects the oppressed. Perfect justice. The best of those who lay traps. Yes. Allah's might is stronger and His punishment more severe. Because even if men and jinn gathered, they could not harm Allah.
All power and might are (?) to Allah. Power and might. In this respect Allah Almighty possesses great power. None of His creatures can ever harm Him. In this respect, if one who is outside the light of faith and sees himself as very powerful oversteps Allah's justice and starts to oppress, Allah Almighty says in a verse: We encompass them from directions unknown, little by little.
He starts to lay a trap, and Allah Almighty lays a trap against him. In the end, within the harm he would do to the oppressed, those traps merge, and in that trap the person drowns. This is our Lord's justice. Such people strike themselves with their own hands, and Allah, who is capable of all things; it is for their reform, for them to turn to their Lord, to come to their senses, to see that the calamity given to them is from their Lord, a power that cannot be averted, and to be awakened. Those people will say: O so-and-so, son of so-and-so, look, I was preparing such a trap. I fell into this trap myself.
This was a warning to me, from Allah, he will say. But unfortunately today we see, none of them says this is from Allah, they say it is from nature. They say this happened like this and that happened like that. Of course everything will be tied to a cause. Allah does not move even a fly's wing without a cause. It does not (?) from its place even with a cause. Without a cause. So in this case we say this happened like this and that happened like that, this happened like this and that happened like that, endlessly stories, stories, stories; none of them can put Allah's word on their lips and say to us, this is a calamity from our Lord.
So to Allah Almighty, tomorrow at the Judgement, they will not be able to say: if only You had given us a calamity and (?) us to Yourself. What will He say? Hey, people! Not 'My servants'. There, being servants ends. Because Allah has withdrawn His mercy from them. Hey, people! Hey, disbelievers! O liars! To them. I gave you so many calamities, reminded you of Myself, people, I tested you with powers. But you still avoided remembering Me, and said this happened like this and that happened like that. Today your place is here, today too it happened like this, He will say.
If he does not mend his ways even from these events and goes to the hereafter like that, rebellious to Allah and without faith, surely Allah's punishment is harsher. That is, the torment of that Hell, of which He says what an evil place of return it is; no place can torment a person as much, there is none. Why, Hodja? In this world they carry out such tortures. Let them. (?) will end. But the punishment of the hereafter will not end. After burning many thousands of years, many thousands of years; if a thousand years here are like one day of the hereafter, then just imagine that place. He will burn many thousands of years.
Then here, when a person burns, when fifty, sixty percent or so of this (?), sixty-five, seventy is reached, the person dies just like that. There, that body is scorched in the fire. No death. That body becomes bone-dry like coal, pitch black. When it comes out, within 5-6 seconds, like a (?), the skin on its body cracks. A brand-new skin comes out underneath. And it is again (?) into that fire. This goes on like this. Isn't this the harshest of punishments? Yes. Because the torment of the earth is temporary and the suffering ends with the person's death. But the torment suffered within the deathless life of the hereafter is lasting. In this respect, Allah's punishment is more severe and harsher.
Yes.
