Tafsir
Allah (swt) proves with this verse that He is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. O people! Are you capable of creating a mote from your world? If so, not even a seedling would have been given to you from your world, proving that all these beings are Allah's. It is a declaration that human beings do not have the knowledge to create out of nothing, that this is reserved for Allah alone, and that Allah created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. All these beings are Allah's. It is for Allah (swt) to give to His creatures from His creation for their needs, or to provide His creatures with sustenance from Allah's grace and bounty in proportion to their needs, and to satisfy their needs.
If man had the knowledge to create out of nothing, if he could create a mote, Allah says to these people in this verse that not even the sprout of a kernel would have been given to you from your world. If you were able to create a mote, you would have created others yourself, you would have been able to fulfill your own needs, and you would not have needed Allah (swt). Allah (swt) would not even give you the sprout of a seed. When people find and invent knowledge from created beings, it does not mean that they create something out of nothing. It means that they invent a branch of knowledge from Allah's creations. This should not be confused with creation. Some people unknowingly enter into shirk by saying that so and so created this and that. When they are warned, due to ignorance or rebellion against Allah, they say, "Of course, he created so-and-so created this and that science," and they associate partners with Allah. To create means to create a substance or an object out of nothing. Finding branches of science such as telephone, electricity, television from an existing object is invention, not creation. If the words are confused, Allah is underestimated. As far as Allah permits, people will find Allah's sciences and make a living by utilizing them, and they will find Allah through those sciences. Whoever possesses these sciences and sees the greatness of Allah and does not submit to Allah out of selfish desire or pride, and disbelieves in Allah by committing shirk, the Holy Qur'an says, "All their good deeds are in vain, and they will be eternal in Hell".
If human beings and all other creatures, who do not possess such knowledge of creation, are in need of Allah, can Allah, the true helper and the one who fulfills those needs, be abandoned? Can one leave Him and believe in His creations in disbelief in Allah? O owners of intellect! Allah says in many verses, "Do you never use your minds?" (Do you never use your intellect?) (Do you never contemplate?) (Do you never think?).
What is said in the video
...it becomes like that. Or do they have a share in the dominion? it says. That is, Surah An-Nisa, verse 53. Or do they have a share in the dominion? That is, are they able to create a single atom? As I said a moment ago. If it were so, people would not be given even as much as the sprout of a seed, it says. As much as a seed's sprout.
If you were able to create a single atom in the world, if you were able, you would also be able to create your own needs. Because you would have grasped that secret, the secret of creation. And We, it says, would give you nothing from the world, it says. As I said yesterday, all these created things, the heavens and the earth and what is between the two, are Allah's creations, and every soul will taste death, and finally the whole inheritance will remain with Allah. His property will remain with Him.
With this verse Allah Almighty proves that He is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and what is between the two. There is no god but Him. O people! Or are you able, from your world, to own an atom, to create an atom? If it were so, you would not be given even a seed's sprout from your world — His saying this proves that all these beings belong to Allah.
Beyond this, it also proves that there is no god other than Allah Almighty.
Or do you own an atom of your world? Yes, it is His informing us that people do not have the knowledge of bringing into being from nothing, that this belongs to Allah alone, and that Allah created the heavens and the earth and what is between them.
With a single verse, that is, a word, what things Allah Almighty proves to us. Or do you own us from your world? Or do they have a share of the world, of the dominion, it says. That is, are they able to create us too? If it were so, people would not be given even as much as a seed, it says. It would not be given.
I always used to think according to this verse. People have houses, apartment blocks, money, yachts. And these have taken this. They have it. It turns out it was not as we thought. When we passed into the spiritual (?), with that knowledge our Lord gave us, then we solved these. These were solved. Otherwise these dry minds cannot solve them. There are so many commentaries. Look and see whether it is written like this in any one of them. Pay attention. Pay attention to the verse 'they will not see their Lord'. Superstitions are written everywhere. They have written superstitions. Yes.
Allah Almighty's giving the people He created from His creations for their needs, or His providing for the creatures He created, in proportion to their needs, from Allah's grace and generosity, is so that their needs are met. El rızkı Teala Allah. Allah Almighty will stand guarantor for the provision of what He created. Yes.
Yes. If man had a knowledge of bringing into being from nothing, if he could create a single atom, then to such people Allah says in this verse: you would not be given even the sprout of a seed from the world. If you could create a single atom, you would create the others yourself too, and come to the point of meeting your own need yourself, so that you would not present your need to Allah Almighty. And Allah Almighty would not give you even the sprout of a seed. People finding and inventing a branch of knowledge from created beings does not mean bringing into being from nothing. You know, they say so-and-so created such-and-such, God forbid, may Allah protect us.
Rather, his bringing out an unknown knowledge is his invention; he invented it. Creating, however, is bringing something into being from nothing. You know, bringing into being from nothing does not mean, let's say, there was no space shuttle and a man found it, so he brought it into being from nothing. Let's say, for example, Edison found electricity — it does not mean he brought it into being from nothing. That is, among these created things, within the existence Allah Almighty created from the atom to the globe, he himself would bring something into being from nothing outside of this. That is, he would possess the art of creating.
This is not possible. So in this case, Allah Almighty — of the people He addresses directly, according to this verse, if man puts a little (?) to work — if even man, the most honorable He created, is in need of Allah, is in a position to present his need to Allah, then, that there is no god other than Allah, the Owner of this whole universe, and Allah Almighty's — the absolute Ruler of this universe, the One with power — rule over His creatures, He informs us of these. His rule.
From here, at an essential point, an essential point, all creatures' need for Allah emerges. That is, Allah Almighty's attribute (?) becomes manifest. What is the attribute (?)? All these worlds are in need of Allah, while Allah is free of His creatures. He has no need of them.
Some people, by saying so-and-so created this, unknowingly fall into shirk. No one can create anything. He can only invent. When they are warned, under the influence of ignorance or because of their (?) against Allah, naturally he too, by saying so-and-so created such-and-such knowledge, associates partners with Allah. Look, he does not say he found this knowledge, that is, he made this, he invented this, but he created this. Did this exist, he says? Yet he finds it from what Allah created. From His creations. By bringing them together. What does this prove? The angels say to Allah Almighty: will You create on earth a human who will shed blood?
And Allah Almighty says: you cannot know what I create, you cannot know what I do. He creates Adam and teaches him the things, their essence. By their essence I mean: however much knowledge will come in the world, He teaches him that. And He says: tell Me about the things, and Hz. Adam begins to count them. Did I not tell you that you do not know what I know, He says. So knowledge, as much as He taught Hz. Adam, will become manifest until the Day of Judgment. Allah Almighty's creating man as gifted. That giftedness is from Allah Almighty's giving man a part from His essence, from His spirit, His giving.
Yes.
to create means to bring a material or an object into being from nothing, not from among created things; it is bringing into being from nothing. Finding branches of knowledge from an existing object, like the telephone, electricity, television, is invention, it is not creation. If the words are mixed up, Allah is belittled. As far as Allah permits, people will find Allah's knowledge and by benefiting from it, they will secure their living. And with that knowledge they will find Allah. Because Allah Almighty says in His verse that knowledge is honorable. Knowledge is honorable. If that knowledge does not lead you to Allah, all the fine things you have done have gone to waste, it says.
Gone to waste. Why did they go to waste?
Now a man says: electricity, he says, Edison found it, so many people earn their living from it. Now, if he died as a disbeliever, he says, is this one too, he says, bound for Hell? Not just this world — even if the seven layers of heavens, these beings surrounded by Arshullah, Allah's Arshullah, were as much again — when he went so far as to deny a single verse of Allah Almighty, to deny — his sin's weight, even if the seven layers of heavens with Arshullah were as much again as his good deeds, his scale, that scale of sin, would weigh heavier. That is, that knowledge is of no benefit to him. Because even if you find something about there being no god but Allah from His creations, from the reason He gave you, and if you, as that human created with this knowledge, your Creator do not recognize, then of course the place you will go with your rebellion is the eternal fire of Hell.
Whoever comes to possess these kinds of knowledge and sees Allah's divinity, yet out of the whims of his nafs or his pride does not bow to Allah and, falling into shirk, denies Allah — in a verse He declares: all the fine things they did have gone to waste. These are people of Hell forever. If people who have no such knowledge of creating, and all other created beings, are in a position to present their need to Allah, is Allah, who meets those needs and is the true helper, to be abandoned? Can you turn your back on Him? Can you step outside Allah's command in the world without caring about lawful and unlawful?
We have put a camera here. The camera films us continuously. And it records us. Do you think so? Every second of your life goes (?). Every second of yours is recorded in an image. Today a camera instantly, snap snap, records your photograph's picture on paper. Is Allah Almighty not able to freeze these images you have projected? He said: Ve halaka'l-cânne min mâricin min nâr — that Satan, that jinn, although He created him from fire, He created him within frequencies. Had He said 'We created him within frequencies', no one would have understood then.
Frequency too is a fire, electronic. This too is a fire. That is, a ray. They can go around the world in 3–4 seconds. Isn't frequency like that too? From one side of the world to the other, in 3–4 seconds, 3–4 seconds, conversations are transmitted. You talk on the phone. If this jinn can freeze itself and appear to you — and it does freeze itself, it does appear — in this case, can Allah Almighty not freeze your images from when you reached puberty until you die and say to you in the hereafter (?)? He is putting me on video. And there is no recording on video. It is recorded on electronic cards.
If, to the extent our Lord created us, we have found this much of His knowledge, Allah Almighty is (?), the All-Knowing of all, Omnipotent over everything. Yes.
Whoever comes to possess these kinds of knowledge and sees Allah's selfhood, yet out of the whims of his nafs or his pride does not bow to Allah and, falling into shirk, denies Allah — in this verse, all the fine things they did have gone to waste. These are Hell forever, He declares. If people who have no such knowledge of creating, and all other created beings, are in a position to present their need to Allah, is Allah, who meets those needs and is the true helper, to be abandoned? Is He to be left and belief placed in His creatures in defiance of Allah? Is belief to be placed in other things in defiance of Allah?
O people of reason, in many places with His verses Allah declares: do you never use your reason, do you never reflect, do you never think?
