Translation
Some of them believed in Abraham and some of them turned away from him. (For them) The hell is enough for a burning fire.
Tafsir
Some of these people did not envy the Prophets sent by Allah (swt) and obeyed Allah and His Messenger. Others envy Allah and His Messenger and turn away from them. When people forget their Creator in this transient world and follow their own desires, they end up wasting their souls in the Hereafter. For these Allah says that for those who associate partners, Hell with a scorching Fire is sufficient for them.
What beautiful examples Allah gives to people. He invites people to salvation by calling them to guidance. He shows them the paths of mercy, sometimes with good promises and sometimes with punishment. Allah, who makes His presence felt among people with verses that shed light in front of so many people and who continues to rule among His creations, makes every intellect prove its existence and leaves it free in its own will.
O Human! In order for you to understand the value given to you, is it not enough for a human being to understand the value He gives to human beings in the eyes of Allah, Who has left you free in your will, to direct yourself with your own desire and will, who has created you the most honorable of creatures, equipped you with the most beautiful forms and made you the caliph of the earth?
Whoever disbelieves in these blessings of Allah, disobeys Allah and His Messenger, and does not believe in the Last Day out of hatred and envy, for him is Hell as a scorching Fire.
What is said in the video
In verse 55: some of them believed in Abraham, and some turned away from him. For them Hell suffices as a scorching fire, it says. Yes.
Let's read this part too and explain it. Let's end our lesson here.
This one is a bit short. Some said to Abraham 'we believe', some turned their backs; so what does Allah Almighty say: some of them believed in Abraham, and some turned away from him; for them Hell suffices as a scorching fire, He says.
In every age people, within their own wishes, within their destinies, have opposed their prophets and scholars. The Jews, above all, killed their prophets. The Jews following Zechariah, peace be upon him, the father who went to save John, — when Zechariah, peace be upon him, realised he was being followed, he hid inside a (?) , and inside that (?), with (?), the Jews cut Zechariah, peace be upon him.
In every age such wrongdoers rise up against Allah's verses. For them a scorching fire suffices, Allah Almighty. When our Lord says in a verse that your scholars' passing to the hereafter is like the sun going and darkness coming, and if these scholars explain the verses to you — though in our time no one explains the verses.
Find me again in Turkey those who explain the verses. If you can find them. Only, having seen it from us, some television sites, televisions, televisions bring out hodjas and try to answer questions. There are no verses. This is a revolution, of course. In Turkey too, a revolution. In Turkey too, a revolution.
Look, on every page there are verses like this that we have corrected.
Now, one of the verses here, those who know a lot of Arabic, you know,
those translators make translations. And we, from their translation — we have no Arabic, you know, but I have the verses. What does it say? In the breasts of those We gave knowledge, Our verses, it says, are a clear sign, it says. The Qurans — the Quran is a clear sign. Yes. Now, in verse 42, look what it says here now.
This — in this world We attached a curse behind them; on the Day of Judgement too they are among the despised. In this world We attached a curse behind them, says Allah Almighty. To whom? Let's read the one above. He made them, it says, leaders calling people to the fire, leaders calling to the fire , like the pharaohs. On the Day of Judgement they will not be helped , it says. Right. In this world We attached a curse behind them, it says.
If You, as Creator, attached a curse behind me, I cannot come to the eternal light, to the path of Islam.
Allah did not attach a curse behind them. Look. In this world they attached a curse behind themselves. Who attached it? They themselves. Allah did not. Allah did not. In this world they attached a curse behind themselves. On the Day of Judgement they are among the despised, it says.
Since you had (?) Arabic, translators. This is the translation. But when you opened this up in your translation, whether you opened Allah's word rightly or wrongly — that I knew. You cannot know that. I know it with a knowledge my Lord gave me. Since you had your Arabic, why are there over four hundred — look, on every page here such red writings? On every page, roughly, roughly — look how many — on every two pages there are writings. Red writings.
Now let me read one more. I'm going to close anyway. On page 407. What does it say? On page 407. Which verse? Verse 37.
Did they not see that Allah gives sustenance abundantly to whom He wills? Allah gives sustenance abundantly to whom He wills. Had You given to me too, I wouldn't leave the mosque at all five prayers. If You give to whom You will, will to give to me too. Some are writhing. Aren't they Your servants? Give to him too. Look.
Verse 37: Did you not see? Did they not see that Allah gives sustenance abundantly to whom He wills and restricts it for whom He wills? Surely in this there are lessons for a people who believe. Now let's read this part too and see. We've corrected this. Did they not see: Allah, within their destinies, gives sustenance abundantly to the one who wishes, within his destiny. He gives abundantly to the one who wishes. He made a covenant, you see; people unaware of this covenant cannot solve these.
We made a covenant with those to come forth from the offspring of the children of Adam and said: We are your Lord. Not 'Are We not your Lord?' — We said: We are your Lord. So, if He made a covenant with each in this world, in the hereafter world made a covenant, if Allah Almighty also showed them the future times, Allah Almighty, who knows everyone's wish and desire in that future time, his own, his soul's, the essence of his heart, who knows his secret — if He gave him his wish and desire, his will, as destiny , then within those destinies He gives abundant sustenance to the one who wishes. To the one who wishes! Not to whom He wills; if He gave to whom He wills He would be blamed.
To the one who wishes. In fact, the one who wishes also wishes beyond his destiny. There's the verse for you: did you think you'd be given everything you want? Well now, here, here, doesn't it contradict this verse? Did you not see that Allah gives sustenance abundantly to whom He wills? Since He gives abundantly, gives abundantly to whom He wills, will everything you wish come true? According to His verse it would be removed; He would give him plenty too. But what does He say? Did you think everything you wish would come true, He says. So if it's outside my destiny, if it won't be good for me, He doesn't give it.
Because I (?) with my patience in the hereafter, He grants me its reward, Allah Almighty. So here it is not 'whom He wills'; to the one who wishes, within his destiny, He gives abundantly. And for the one who wishes He also restricts it. For the one who wishes — would a person wish his sustenance to be restricted? Look, it happened to me; let me tell you the incident. There, where you see, I had my machines, a factory. This place was a factory. In this factory, my neighbour across the way — I said to him, you be the watchman here; I'm going to Bahçelievler, I live there, be the watchman here, and don't you work.
Stand over these people; I'll pay you separately both a watchman's wage and also, I said, since you're over them, I said, I'll give you plenty of money. Let me raise your monthly pay. He said: I want neither that nor this. I'm doing my job here; this is what I need, he said.
But I lived this, I lived it. One who can't know these can't write them anyway. Can't understand them anyway. Yes.
May Allah, I said, give (?) a good understanding, (?). Some of them believed in Abraham — 'we believe' — believed. And some turned away from him. For them Hell suffices as a scorching fire. Some of these people did not envy the prophets Allah Almighty sent and obeyed Allah and His Messenger. Not envying, envying the prophets Allah Almighty sent, they obeyed Allah and His Messenger . Some, however, envying Allah and His Messenger, dragged along after their vain desires , in the end wrong their own souls for the hereafter. For these, for those who associate partners, Allah says a scorching fire, Hell, suffices . In another verse He says what an evil bed is the place they will go to, He says.
Bed. What beautiful examples Allah gives people. Calling people to guidance, He invites them to salvation. Sometimes with fine promises, sometimes by showing punishment, He shows them the paths of mercy . Allah, who with verses that light the way before so many people makes His existence openly felt among people and among His creatures maintains His rule, makes every person of reason prove His existence and leaves him free in his own will. O mankind! So that you understand the value given to you, He who left you free in your will , so that you steer yourself by your own wish and desire, who created you the most honourable of creatures, adorned you with the most beautiful forms and made you vicegerent of the earth — is the value Allah gives people not enough for a person?
Whoever denies these blessings of Allah does not obey Allah and His Messenger. (?) does not believe in the Day of the Hereafter, a scorching fire, Hell, suffices for him. Yes.
