We have appointed heirs for everything that parents and relatives leave. Also give a share to those whom your oaths bind. Indeed, Allah is a witness over everything.

Tafsir

There are shares for men and women who inherit what their parents or relatives leave. Allah has made relatives heirs to the property of those who have passed away. That is why, since people have rights over their relatives, they are obliged to respect and love each other and to serve each other.

And give to those to whom your oaths bind you their share. The oath here means the one who writes down the will from the inheritance of the deceased, with witnesses. Oath also means right hand in Arabic. It is the right hand that a person usually uses in his worldly affairs. With this hand he does his work and fulfills his needs. It means that a person's basis is what he needs. In this verse, it means the proxy of the deceased in place of the witnesses. So give those who write and bind your will their share and do not deprive them. Especially if the people who write this will are in need. If the deceased person's wealth and property is a bit high, these people whom he hired as witnesses, dictated, and had their oaths bound, while they are writing down the property that will fall to the heirs, they may also have such situations in their hearts. They may think that if he had left something for me, if he had given this much to the heirs and this much less to the heirs, I would have taken care of my needs with it. Allah knows what is in people's hearts, so He says that you should not neglect to allocate a share of your wealth to them, so that the person who writes the will will will not be left without a share of what he has written and his needs will be met.

Because Allah sees everything. Allah, who is aware of every particle of the universe, Allah, who knows the state of all His creatures, is surely with His creatures. In this respect, Allah sees and knows everything.

What is said in the video

In verse 33 of Surah An-Nisa, our Lord (?): for each of man and woman, of what parents and relatives leave, We have made heirs who will take their shares. From the parents: the child has died, the parents are alive, the wife's children are alive too, but the parents need to be looked after. (?) What does He say? Allah Almighty, in a verse in Surah Luqman: if their old age is spent with you, do not even say uff to them, He says. In this situation, will Allah Almighty leave them wronged? Those parents. Those parents raised him. They brought their child to a certain level. Even if the parents go hungry, you feed the children so that they eat.

Well, in this situation, if a child leaves some wealth, the child, that is the right of those parents too. How beautifully our Lord enlightens people with His verses. What are you saying? Neither in man nor in woman. Each of them, whoever it may be. For each of them, of what parents and relatives leave, We have made heirs who will take their shares. And give their portions to those whom your oaths have bound. I swore an oath. I will give this one. I will give this much. I swore an oath. Give to him too. Keep your oath, He says. Because Allah sees everything.

For men and women who are heirs of what parents or relatives leave, there are shares. Now we will list the shares below. Allah has made heirs to the property of relatives who pass to the hereafter.

That is why, if a person earns and becomes the owner of wealth,

however much he owns that wealth, even if its management or its disposal belongs to that person, the others have sustenance in it.

You cannot know for whom Allah gave you that sustenance; this you cannot know. So Allah Almighty, with His laws, makes clear the heirs people will make to their property.

Because of this, since people have rights over their relatives, that they do not fall short toward one another in love and respect, in service to one another, must be observed. Inequality among relatives, or, in a way that would wrong them, if you impose on them a choice of shares far from justice, those people, after you, take offense at one another. He left this one so much, he gave me this much. If he had given me that, if he had given me this; that was not his right, this was my right, they keep talking back and forth. That is why dividing these before dying is of benefit. Or having them divided justly while dying.

I did so before dying, I gave my property to my children. I gave to each of them separately. I made each of them content. Within their own wills. I also set aside a place for myself. After I die they will share in that too.

Now, in life you will settle your affairs early. He will not say, if the other had given me this, if it had been like this. You cannot say it. Because they shared it with their own consent. And I gave it. That is why a person will finish his business in life. He will not leave it behind. A person cannot know when death will come to him. They say death is at the tip of one's nose; it is true.

Look. In Japan 10 thousand people dead, 15 thousand people missing, and another 20 thousand people (?). In this situation, were they expecting this death? In an instant. In an instant a disaster, a fire, an earthquake, well, a flood, you cannot know this, a person's end comes. That is why a person should not, saying, while I am alive I will do this, tomorrow I will do that, I will do this like that, go into long hopes. Long hope is shirk. Because you are deciding in place of Allah Almighty. Saying, I will live this much (?), or I will do this, I will do that. Well, a person makes a plan. What will he say then? You will say, God willing, He says.

God willing. If my Lord lets me reach that time, I will do this and that. If, He says, the devil makes you forget what you will do, if I do not say God willing, when you remember say this, He says. Perhaps my Lord will make me succeed in what I will do even before that time, say, He says. Yes.

And give their portions to those whom your oaths have bound. The oath here means the person who writes down the will the deceased will make from the inheritance he leaves, taking witnesses. Yamin in Arabic means the right hand. It means the right hand. It is mostly his right hand that a person uses while doing his worldly affairs. With these hands he does his work and meets his needs; it has the meaning of what meets a person's (?) need. In this verse it means the deputy the deceased took as witness in his place. So give their portions also to the one who writes and binds your will. Yes.

In one sense it is so. A man says, look, the rich man leaves this to this one, this to that one, this to this one. What would it hurt if he gave me something like this too? I mean, he says this. It passes through his heart. So Allah Almighty says: to the one you made witness, to the one who bound your oaths, give something too, He says. Make them glad too.

Yes.

The people who write this will, especially if they are in need, if the deceased person's property and possessions are a bit much, those he took as witness, who had him write it, who bound his oaths, while writing the property that will fall to the heirs, such things may pass through their hearts too. If only he left something to me too; among so much property, if he gave the heirs this much less, I could meet my needs with that, they may think. Yes, because every kind of thing comes to a person's mind. So since Allah knows what will come into people's hearts, so that those who write the will do not have their eye on the property they write and so that their need is met, Allah Almighty declares: do not neglect to set aside a portion of your property for them too.

Allah Almighty loves His servants very much, and because He loves them, He wants things to be granted and given to them. He does not want anyone's heart broken over material things. Since we are tested with one another, Allah Almighty does not interfere with us within our wills, because we will prove what kind of people we are. Allah Almighty says in His verse: Did you think you would die without proving what kind of people you are? In this situation, if our Lord wished, He would in an instant bring whomever He wishes to whatever position, whatever state He wishes. But since we will be tested with one another, He does not take our wills away from us and use His own will over us, and in this situation He shows us the way.

And so we are tested with one another.

Because Allah sees everything.

Our Lord is Basir. He sees. Semi', He hears. For Him the brightness of the day and the darkness of the night are one. In this respect, in Allah's sight nothing is hidden. Not just a person; He knows what even a microbe of a (?) that cannot be seen under a microscope will do. He knows how long it will live and what task it will be charged with. Because Allah Almighty says in His verse: microbes are My soldiers. I send My soldier upon whoever wants it, He says. But here they have written it like this: I send it upon whomever I want. Allah Almighty does not send it by His own wish. He sends it upon whoever wants it. Who are these who want it?

Those who live far from Allah. People in whose hearts there is constant unrest. People who live in stress and depression. People who solve every matter by their own mind and think that they can achieve it, that they will do it, who take precautions and know nothing of the decree. So with these, as the body becomes weak in that depression and stress, those microbes settle in that body. So whoever wishes comes to have those microbes. Allah Almighty also sometimes gives to people without their wishing. This too is the counterpart of this verse. We test you with your lives and your wealth, He says.

And what does He say after that? Every ascent has a descent, and every descent has an ascent, He says, He reminds us. Yes. Then when a calamity touches you, never fall into despair. That was an ascent, a hardship; it will pass. (?), He says. Allah Almighty tests you in plenty and in want. In your life and in your wealth. Yes.

So our Lord sees and knows everything. Allah, who is aware of every particle of the universe, who knows the state of all He created, Allah Almighty is of course with what He created. In this respect Allah sees and knows everything. Allah Almighty: there is not a particle in the universe that is free of Him or unknown to Him. Yes.
