Translation

Men are guardians over women, because Allah has made some of them excel others and because men spend from their earnings. Good women are obedient and as long as they obey Allah, they will protect their chastity and possessions in the absence of their husbands. Regarding women whom you fear might be rebellious, give them advice first. If they do not become well behaved, leave them alone in their beds. If they do not listen, (slightly) beat them. If they obey you, don’t look for a reason to hurt them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted (Aliyy) and Great (Kabeer).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has placed great value on the family system in Islam. The enlarged and expanded form of the family order is the form of government. In this respect, since the family is the first order of society, Allah (swt) has established this order on a basis. Whoever goes out of this order, as we will explain below, will not find salvation.

Since the origin is based on the Elestu bi Rabbikum address in the realm of Lahut, it is the state in which our souls were first created, which we have mentioned many times in the same place and will mention more and more as we come to it. When Allah (swt) willed that His Essence should be known, He first created the light of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). Then He gave him his soul, and from the soul of the Prophet (SAW) He created the souls of the Prophets. And from the souls of the Prophets He created the souls of their people. Then He made a covenant with our souls and lifted them to the realm of Berzah, the grave of our souls. He created the realm of property in a condition suitable for human life, and sent them to the realm of property to be witnesses against them for the covenants they had made. In bringing about this series of events, Allah, the Exalted, has established and imposed some Shari'ah laws among mankind. Those who do not abide by these rules are cruel to their souls in this world and the Hereafter.

For human beings to reproduce and multiply in the realm of property, a male and a female are needed. This is the same with all creatures. Humans are the most exquisite of all creatures. In this respect, Allah says, "I have created man in the most beautiful form" (lekad haleknel insane fi ahseni takvim). In this respect, since human beings are the most honorable of all creatures, Allah has created women weaker than men in order to create a family bond between them and to ensure order and regularity in this family bond, unity and solidarity, solidarity and order.

In this respect, a woman needs protection and a man to rule over her. Because she has these qualities in her creation and nature. He has also made the man strong and complete in comparison to the woman. The reason for this is that if the two leaders had been together, there would have been separation, you and me feuds, and there would have been unrest in the family. In this respect, Allah has created the woman in the family order incomplete and weaker than the man, and has colored people's lives with their obedience and obedience to each other in order to maintain order and harmony, without any corruption. This is how Allah has created and established this order so that there is order in the society among people.

States are an extended form of the family home. The people within these states form and govern the state by electing administrators to lead them. When the chiefs of this nation govern this nation, the honor and dignity of those who are governed are not harmed. It is not considered an insult to the people being governed. When the man who is the head of the family rules the family, the woman is not deemed to be wronged or deficient. This is an order established by Allah. All created human beings are Allah's creations. Since Allah does not intend cruelty to His creatures, He has established this order in this way. For Allah is the All-Knowing.

In the face of this situation, if a man breaks this order and submits to a woman, if a man comes under the command of a woman, it changes the feelings of the woman who manages the family, and she insults the man who is her husband. She looks up to and envies the men who manage their homes and take responsibility for the household. She even shows those men as an example to her husband. In this family home, the children are also affected by these situations, and these children are also oppressed. Expanding on this pattern, according to the command of Allah (swt), a woman cannot be a commander, judge or head of state because of her maternal feelings. These three qualities are disadvantageous because they are incomplete compared to men.

To give an example without going beyond the scope of this lesson: Some states on earth, such as England and others like it, were ruled by women. They could not escape the calamity and finally they brought men to be the heads of state and they began to try to justify this female system to Islam. Whoever disobeys the command of Allah will suffer loss in this world and the Hereafter. If Allah says in this verse that men are the rulers and judges over women, it is so. Those who do the opposite of this are free in the realm of property with their own will, with their will-i juz-i y. However, they will not be spared from the misfortunes of this world, and their regrets will not benefit them on the Day of Judgment when they will be called to account before God. If he likes the position and authority of this world and turns his back on the Verses of Allah that are too heavy for his soul, that position and authority in this world will be a position of fire in the Hereafter. In this case, one is pitying one's own soul.

Because men are created more complete than women and are therefore the head of the household, they spend their earnings on their wives and children. Good women are obedient. As long as they obey Allah's commands, Allah protects them and they protect their husbands' property and chastity because of their faith. Even if no one sees them, they know that Allah sees them and they obey Allah. Advise those women who disobey their husbands and transgress. If they do not listen to you, leave them alone in their beds for a while. Separate from your wives temporarily for the sake of their upbringing, providing them with all sustenance and necessities of the house, if any, and if not, staying in another house or in another room. If they behave and obey you, then do not seek any excuse to hurt them. Allah is a watcher and a protector over His creatures. Allah is great and exalted.

What is said in the video

Surah An-Nisa, verse 34: its wording — this part, listen carefully.

because some much-debated words have their source here.

Surely, in the sight of Allah, men and women are equal before Allah's laws, but by creation the man is superior to the woman; by creation — and there are many reasons for that too. For this reason Allah Almighty says in the verse: Men are managers and rulers over women. What is it? Men, over women, are managers and rulers. Because He created the man complete and the woman incomplete. In that case, do not push Allah's limits, says Allah Almighty.

He destroyed those who pushed Allah's limits.

Before the Prophet (peace be upon him) came. Because the Prophet is alive, because he is a mercy to the worlds, destructions were lifted, and calamities were put in their place.

So those who push Allah's verses, who try to cross those limits, who choose women as managers and rulers over themselves, men in short skirts, met with many disasters.

England (?) was governed with a queen at its head. Later they understood the gravity of it and finally, to escape the calamities, they returned to Allah's verses. But they made it look as if they had turned back on their own, not by Allah's verse. They wrapped those calamities around the Islamic countries.

Yes, according to this verse, in a state, at the head of a state, a woman cannot be the ruler. And those that have one, mark it, are exposed to calamity and are sinking into ruin.

This is our Lord's law. No one can say: look, in such-and-such a place there is a woman and she governs too. She lives well. "Didn't Allah say men over — I mean, men are managers over women and rulers? See? The woman governs men so nicely too" — He won't let them say that. Surely there is a hidden catch underneath; that (?) falls into the well by itself and collapses.

So listen well to the verses. Let everyone know their place very well. Don't let it cross your mind: this man, this hodja sees women as (?), ha — don't let such a thing cross your mind. By creation, the woman was created incomplete compared to the man. She was given one seventh of a nafs. One seventh. Sometimes, you know, they say the woman has seven nafs and the man one. If the man can't master his one nafs, the woman goes mad with these seven nafs, she really goes mad. That one-seventh nafs — I mean, because it says (?), He gave the woman (?) one seventh of a nafs. Then, since the man will manage and rule over the woman — there can't be two roosters on one dunghill.

The man's feelings are different; He gave the woman different feelings. The woman will take refuge, be looked after, I mean she will be protected by someone else, find security for herself, surrender to someone. Women live within these feelings. And men will be managers, rulers, they will run things and handle things. I mean the head — men were created that way. Whoever turns these feelings upside down, there is no way he will prosper. Even — even a woman cannot be a judge in Islam. Do you know why? Because the woman has motherly feelings. She does not judge with full justice, because she has those feelings.

Because she has those feelings, because she has maternal feelings, she may err in the decisions she gives. For this reason a woman cannot be a judge in Islam. But now it happens.

What is it? Men are managers and rulers over women. Because Allah created one superior to the other, it says. See how beautifully it puts it. Because Allah created one superior to the other. Our Lord says it. I mean, as we just said, He created the man complete and the woman incomplete. Well, now, does this fit with creation — that the incomplete should manage the complete? Here it oversteps Allah's justice. And for this reason Allah Almighty slaps those who overstep that justice. Yes. Even if the woman were my mother — my mother, my most precious being — I would never elect her to head of state, never; even if she were my mother, if she ran as a candidate for parliament, for prime minister, I would never give her my vote, nor would I vote for that party, if we are going to live Islam, if we are going to live what Allah says. I have always done what Allah says; the armour in front of me always split and went away, always opened before me; even if iron armour comes, it will open, break and go away, but from what Allah says I will not turn away. Yes, and also: men spend from their wealth, it says.

Look. Men spend from their wealth. He earns. He gives his life. He gets money from there in return for his life, for his lifetime. He brings it and feeds his wife. Yes. Good women are obedient. I mean, when it says good women: the righteous women. They are obedient. Good women. They do not go beyond what their husbands say. When the husband says you won't go to such-and-such a place, they don't go. When he says you won't go to such-and-such a neighbour, they don't go. When he says you won't wear this, they don't wear it. Yes. Obedient women.

And Allah Almighty loves them, you see. He loves them because they obey like that.

and because they fear Allah, in their husbands' absence they guard their chastity and property. One must draw attention here: because they fear Allah they guard their own chastity and their husbands' property. Her husband — now, when we say the righteous woman is obedient: when her husband tells her "you will uncover", she does not uncover. Because she is obedient to Allah, the righteous woman. She has entered among the believers. You can't make her uncover her head, even if you (?) her head. Well, how is she obedient then? She is obedient to Allah. If her husband has also obeyed Allah, whatever the husband tells her on Allah's path, she will obey.

Outside of Allah, whatever her husband tells her, she does not obey him. Outside of her husband. Outside of Allah's command. But within Allah's command, whatever her husband tells her, she obeys without ever answering back. These are the righteous women. Yes. In their husbands' absence they guard their chastity and property. Why? Because they fear Allah, it says. Look. They fear Allah. Yes. The righteous woman. Because she is to obey her husband, a non-Islamic act: he will tell his wife strip, uncover, go about with your head uncovered, I mean, go about in a nightgown, go about in a short skirt.

She never accepts that. Well, isn't that disobedience? It is never disobedience. She is obeying Allah. See what it says? Because they fear Allah, it says. One must pay great attention here. So there, her husband comes second. But whatever her husband says on Allah's path, on Allah's path she is obliged to obey him. In fact she obeys not her husband but Allah. Because what does Allah say? Allah Almighty says righteous women, good women, are obedient. Where? Within Allah's commands. And when her husband shows her Allah's commands, she bows without ever opposing him, and obeys. Now it becomes clear how a woman obeys her husband or not.

As for women whose wickedness and discord you fear — both their wickedness and their discord — as for the women you fear, first give them advice. This advice: on Allah's path, with Allah Almighty's verses she will be advised. If she has faith, she will abide by this advice. If not — it continues anyway. Yes. Then, if they don't mend their ways, leave them alone in their beds. I mean three days, five days, ten days. The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept apart from his wives for a month. A month; at last, when Abu Bakr as-Siddiq came to the Prophet, he sees that he is lying on a straw mat; he comes home, first starts with his daughter, scolding and advising; the other (?) and the mother also advise, and they bring the Prophet back. So you will leave them alone in their beds for a while too.

If they still don't listen, beat them lightly, it says. Lightly, not much. Lightly, (?), beat them on the buttocks. If they obey you, do not look for an excuse to hurt them. Because Allah is most high, most great. If they have obeyed you, it says, then do not hurt them anymore. Treat them kindly. Yes. So that they too obey you.

Allah Almighty gave great value to family order in the religion of Islam. The enlarged and extended form of family order is the condition for governing a state. If there is unrest in a family — unrest in the family — if there is unrest in the family, there is unrest in the state too. Among themselves (?) really begins. The larger form of the family is the state anyway. The more a family is obedient to one another, the more in the state too they — within that party — love and respect one another, the more toward one another, I mean, with good conduct among themselves, they try to use their abilities to make good decisions.

And they govern the nation very well. They govern the state very well too.

For this reason, since the family, the first order, adds up to the order of society, Allah Almighty built this order on a rule. As we will explain below, whoever leaves this order will not find salvation. The origin — in the realm of Lahut, because it rests on that address, many times the same place we mention, and as it comes up we will explain more: it is the state of our souls' first creation. In the realm of Lahut, when Allah Almighty willed His essence to be known, He first created the light of the Beloved of the Almighty, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Then He gave him of His spirit. And from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) He created people's souls. Then, making a covenant with our souls, He took them up to the realm of Barzakh, the grave of our souls.

Creating the realm of Mulk in a state fit for human life, so that people would be made witnesses against themselves upon the covenants they gave, He sent them to the realm of Mulk. Allah Almighty, who brought about this series of adventurous events, laid down certain sharia laws among people.

These rules — those who don't observe the rules, in this world and the hereafter, are wrongdoers against their own selves.

Now Allah Almighty, in (?), when Allah Almighty created our souls, made a covenant with us. He said: I am your Lord. In response to that address the souls split into three groups. What does it say? In Surah Al-Waqi'ah: All (?), coming from one another, three (?).

O (?)! How happy they are. Ve ashâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh — those on the left. Woe to them, it says. Woe to them. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, ülâike'l-mukarrabûn, fî cennâti'n-na'îm. We call it a third group. The group of the foremost. The group of saints, prophets, martyrs, the shuhada. That is where we separated. Without any doubt. Those who obeyed Allah Almighty well were adorned with good characters. Those who rebelled against Allah Almighty and did not recognise Him were adorned with non-Islamic ideologies, and according to their own ideologies, their feelings, Allah Almighty gave them characters, and they, living out their own feelings within those characters, will prove in the realm of Mulk what kind of people they are.

Allah Almighty knew, so why did He send us to the world? Why didn't He finish our business there? Many say so too. We still can't understand this point. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. This is the point to draw attention to. Why did He send us here? It says esfele sâfilîn: the world, the lowest of the low. Some, when it says esfele sâfilîn, take it to mean paradise, hell — I mean, that he will go to hell. No — there is nobody in hell yet, no human. Esfele sâfilîn, illellezîne âmenû ve amilû's-sâlihâti — except those who do good deeds, fe lehüm ecrun ğayru memnûn. Except those who do good deeds; fe mâ yükezzibüke ba'dü bi'd-dîn.

O man, it says, what happened to you that you denied? Eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn — is Allah not the judge of judges, it says. Yes. Now, why did we come here? As we always say, the one point people's minds cannot grasp: since Allah Almighty gave people of His spirit, gave of a part of it, we say people are the very likeness of our Lord. Exact likeness. Allah Almighty, who is Eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, the judge of judges, Allah Almighty, in that address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, when He said I am your Lord, there our souls, since they saw our Lord exactly like themselves, — I mean, they saw Him in a human form — could not believe in Him.

They waited for the Lord of their own imagination. And Allah Almighty, as you always say, again: they will not see their Lord. But people who don't know these points, who can't grasp these verses, when it says they will not see their Lord, some say they will be resurrected blind and sightless. And some say this verse indicates that Allah Almighty will be seen in paradise, they say. Yet it is neither what one says nor what the other says. This symbolises tawhid, because there is no other god besides Allah for them to see their own creator.

So the Lord that people await in their imagination — when they come to the world, they bring the spirit of the Lord of their imagination, shaped by hand; however he imagines it, within that imagining he makes his idol, puts it there and worships it. Now in this case, since Allah Almighty appeared to people one-to-one in the same form, so that man may not say: my God, You created me, You were like me. I could not recognise You as the one who created me, as my Lord. Had You sent me to a hidden realm, a hidden realm, and made Your essence known, I would have worshipped You there — so that they cannot say this, He created these realms. What is it?

Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. He will bring forth all the questions that could come to people's minds; people will be cut off from those questions. This is Allah Almighty's attribute of being God. Look, what does Allah Almighty say in Surah Al-Mulk too? In Surah Al-Mulk: Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Tebârekellezî bi yedihi'l-mülkü ve hüve alâ külli şey'in kadîr. Allah, in whose hand absolute sovereignty lies, is the most exalted, and He has power over all things. Ellezî halaka'l-mevte ve'l-hayâte li yeblüveküm eyyüküm ahsenü amelâ, ve hüve'l-azîzü'l-ğafûr. He who, which of you will behave better, to make you witnesses to one another, created death and (?), it says. Death and life He has created. He is the absolutely mighty, the most forgiving.

Which of you better? Here they wrote it wrong. What does the verse say? It says "to test" here. That's how it puts it. One of the wrongly rendered verses. Well — to test which of you will behave better? As if Allah doesn't know. (?) people. He created death and life, it says. Look, we wrote it like this.

Yes. In red — look, it's clear here, with the red writing; in red, what do we say: He who, so that you prove to yourselves which of you will behave better, created death and life. Which of you will behave better — so that you prove it to yourselves. What did it say in the other verse: did you think you would praise without proving what kind of person you are? Verses don't contradict each other; they confirm and support each other. And this: so that we prove to ourselves what kind of people we are, Allah Almighty created death and life; that is why we came to this realm of Mulk, as likenesses of our Lord. To those who say "how a likeness?", look how many verses we show: His giving of His spirit. But those who know nothing of this, people — even those at the top, at the source, who put souls into cats and dogs, and in nature souls into living things, into plants, who are ignorant of what the soul is. Of course in this case superstitions will increase and Allah Almighty will remain an unseen being.

Unseen. How did an unseen being make a covenant with you? Our Lord says, in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172: We made a covenant with those who would appear among the offspring of the children of Adam, it says. That's how it puts it. Here too it was rendered wrongly, and we corrected it. What do we say now — look, in the following verse how beautifully it proves it; in the following verse: so that you don't say on the Day of Resurrection "we were unaware of this", your Lord made the offspring that would appear from the children of Adam witnesses over themselves and said: I am your Lord. Definitely "I am your Lord", not "am I not your Lord". Why not "am I not your Lord"? Because "el esti" is a definite command.

That's one. Second, why "am I not your Lord"? It isn't. I would witness my creation millimetre by millimetre, then deny the one who created me — that is when our Lord would say: wasn't I your Lord? He'd say to me. But we come into being all at once. They say so too. A sudden coming-into-being — they know that. Well, if he knows, what does "am I not" mean? Am I not your Lord? Did he witness his own creation, that Allah Almighty would say to him, am I not your Lord? It is a definite command: I am your Lord. There is a sudden coming-into-being. Allah Almighty makes His essence known.

Yes. We continue. I am your Lord. And they: yes, we have witnessed this, they said. Yes. "Well, Hodja, you said they denied it there." Now we'll set this point apart. After setting this apart too, we'll go back to the topic. Here we'll enter our lesson. We said we would come to these points from time to time. Each time we do, you will develop a bit more. You will understand better. There, everyone said yes. The meaning of this "yes": all the souls, however many were created, all knew that they were created by a Lord. That reason is there.

What is it? They know that they were created by Allah. It is more correct to call this "Rab". Rab means creating. Creator. Rabbi. He created. That's why they said yes. I mean: we were created. If he hadn't said yes — here "yes", (?), it says — if he hadn't said yes and had left it in the air, or had said no, Allah Almighty could not have made that person know that he was created by a Lord who created him. That "yes" of his: yes, ah, I was created by a Lord. The one before me tells me: I created you. I was created. He tells me: I created you. He is like me. How did He become my creator? Now he goes into pride and arrogance.

He turns away and waits for the Lord of his imagination. And Allah Almighty nicely works his own feelings into him as character. Character. Now how he said yes, how he came to have characters — this has been sorted out very nicely. Yes. If this realm isn't seen, you can't know these things. You can't open this up through the science of Arabic either. That knowledge of Arabic is not enough for you to open this up. Now we continue. Next — next, we continue. Now we enter our lesson. You know: why Allah Almighty brought us into the world. Or: our fathers associated partners with Allah before, and we were a generation that came after them.

We followed in their footsteps. Will You destroy us because of those who did falsehood? — so that you don't say that, We did this. I mean, We made a covenant with you before; now We know what you will do, it says; We know what those who come until the Day of Resurrection will do; so this realm We program like this, and within this program, according to each one's perception and wish, We will create causes. We will send you to the world; to a realm where My essence isn't seen I will send you, a hidden realm — I mean a realm where our Lord isn't seen — I will send you, but according to your own natures, your desires and wishes, your partial will, your intention, since We give you your characters just as they are, you will do the same deeds there, it says. So, to prove that Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes, so that no one can call Allah Almighty into (?), He created this unseen realm, and brought us here and placed us.

Now come on: a realm where you don't see your Lord. Here's the arena. Allah Almighty says there: I am Ahad, I am Ahad. I mean, I am the only one. I mean, there are many ones. One, many. In Arabic wahid is one, ahad is also one. One — but look, this glass is one glass. There are many of these glasses. So each of us is one in this (?), but there are many of this (?), ones. But when you say ahad: ahad is the one without spouse or partner, subsisting by His essence, besides whom there is no other god — that one. That is the meaning of ahad. Yes.

There our souls made the covenant too. He took us up to the realm of Barzakh. How long we stayed in the realm of Barzakh, we cannot know. Since everyone chose the age, era and time according to their own wish, when that time comes — we cannot know how much time passes — He brings us and places us in the age and time we chose. Everyone lives according to their nature; with the deeds they do during that life they gain reward and sin, and with these deeds that person proves what kind of person he is.

Creating the realm of Mulk in a state fit for human life, so that people would be made witnesses against themselves upon the covenants they gave, He sent them to the realm of Mulk. Allah Almighty, who brought about this series of adventurous events, laid down certain sharia laws among people. Those who do not observe these rules became wrongdoers in this world and the hereafter against their own selves. Both in this world and in the hereafter. For people to reproduce and multiply in the realm of Mulk, a female and a male are needed. This is so in all creatures too. In all creatures. Allah Almighty, as one proof that He is free from deficient attributes — single-celled organisms too — free from deficient attributes.

He wasn't creating them like this either. He creates. How does He create? Those single-celled organisms, by splitting in the middle, reproduce. Yes, these are the exception. Allah Almighty shows the art of creation. Those who do not observe these rules become wrongdoers in this world and the hereafter against their own selves. For people to reproduce and multiply in the realm of Mulk, a female and a male are needed. This is so in all creatures too. Humans are the noblest of all created beings. Humans too are created. We are created beings. We are created beings. Creating belongs to Allah alone.

Even if not of His essence, even if we are a likeness of His essence, we are created beings. But the noblest creature. I mean, the most honourable created being. Where did it get its honour? From the spirit our Lord gave that human. From His spirit. That's why: the noblest creature. I mean, the most honourable of the created. In this regard some things come to my mind: those who don't know the verses, who don't understand the verses, who say angels are superior to humans. Now does that fit "the noblest creature"?

If the angel were superior to humans. As we always say, put shortly: the angels were created from the Prophet's light. But Allah Almighty gave a part of His own spirit to the Prophet. Since from his spirit the prophets, and from the prophets' spirits the souls of the peoples were created, indirectly every human is created from the Prophet's spirit, and indirectly, again, every human is a part of his Lord. In this case, how does man, the noblest creature, man, the most honourable of the created, come to have a lower position than the angel? That's what they say: angels are superior to humans.

It really makes one laugh, but in a way it also saddens. That a Muslim stays so far from the verses, takes hearsay words as the truth, as right, and although the other person tells the truth, defends his own falsehood.

And because he is under the guise of a hodja, that the people, those ignorant people, believe him too is truly a heartbreaking thing. That's why first we need to educate our hodjas.

Yes.

Humans are the noblest of all created beings. For this reason Allah says: man —

I created man in the most beautiful form. So, because humans are the most honourable of created beings, among them, so that there is a family bond and order and discipline are ensured in this family bond, so that there is unity and togetherness, harmony and order, Allah created the woman incomplete and weak compared to the man.

For this reason the woman needs protection and a man to rule over her. Because this trait is in her creation and nature. And He created the man capable, and complete compared to the woman. The reason it is so: if two leaders were together, separations and (?) disputes would arise, unrest would appear in the family. For this reason, in family order, Allah, by creating the woman incomplete and weak compared to the man, so that within people's unity and order, without corruption, through their regard and obedience to one another, has given colour to people's lives. So the society among people — in society, providing order, so that order is provided — Allah created and established this order like this.

For order among people to be ensured.

So that they are not left victims of contradiction, of (?), so that unity and order in the home, unity and togetherness, sir, continue, and so that peace is found in that home, Allah Almighty made His laws known to people in this way.

Righteous women are an exception, an exception. The Prophet, in his hadiths, says: when you reach a dead end, a dead end, ask your wives, he says. Do the opposite of whatever she says, he says.

A hadith, a hadith. I spent my life living by this hadith, I did. When I hit a dead end, I would ask my wife. There is such-and-such a matter. How should I do it? She would say: you don't do what I say anyway. (?) you ask me, she would say. Never mind, I'd say. From your heart, how do you want me to do this? She would show me somehow. I'd do the opposite. It works. We'd win. Yes, I mean. I'd reach success. This is the hadith. So because women are incomplete, they also make some mistakes in their decisions. Righteous women are made an exception. They have no decisions either. What does Allah Almighty say? One who advances on My path, even if a woman, is a man, it says.

That's why righteous women are called exceptions. If events unfold in line with their views, they are consulted too. These are exceptions; Allah Almighty praises righteous women anyway. Yes.

Nations are an extended form of the family home. These nations choose administrators over themselves, form the state and are governed. When the leaders at the head of this nation govern this nation, the nation's honour and dignity do not diminish; it is not counted a humiliation for those people. Nor, by the man who is head of the family governing it, is any humiliation or deficiency counted against the woman. This is an order Allah established; all created people are Allah's creation. Now, maybe you didn't understand this — what are we saying? Nations are an extended form of the family home. What is a nation? The children of this homeland — I mean, we are a nation.

In this homeland we choose an administrator over us. While these administrators govern the state, is it counted a humiliation for us? I mean, is it a humiliation for us, as if we were lowly people because we are governed? We are governed by the state. It has laws — the state has laws. These govern the families. The family is the extended form of the nation. I mean, the state is the extended form of the nation. In the family home, sir, this family, that family, that family — the families, that nation, that people choose a leader over themselves. When that leader governs that people, I mean that nation, does humiliation come to us?

Do we fall into an inferiority complex? Or do we say: we are dignified, yet we are governed? No. The state will govern. In the family, the order for the woman is the same. No humiliation comes to the woman — I mean, because she is governed. This is a law Allah created. Yes. In view of this, a person breaks this order. If he surrenders to the woman — the man coming under the woman's command through her management — the woman running this family, her feelings changing, insults the person who is her husband. Doesn't it happen? The woman says: he dumped the whole burden on my back, what good is he, I mean, I do every job — the man has no greatness left at home, nor, sir, any manhood.

Toward the man who runs his home and takes the home's responsibility upon himself, women feel admiration and envy — those men who will take that responsibility. She even holds those men up as an example to her husband. In this family home the children are affected by these situations, and in these children a crushed feeling is seen too. If we extend this order, according to Allah Almighty's command, because of maternal feelings the woman cannot be a commander, cannot be a judge and cannot be head of state. These three qualities, because she was created incomplete compared to the man, are (?). On the woman.

(?).

Before opening the topic of the lesson, if we give an example: on earth — as I said a moment ago — England and some similar states were governed by women; they could not escape calamity. And finally, at their own head, as head of state, they brought men, and began spreading this order to Islam. Whoever opposes Allah's command suffers losses in this world and the hereafter. If Allah says in this verse that men over women are managers and rulers, then so it is. Those who do the opposite are free, by their own will, their partial will, in the realm of Mulk. But just as they cannot escape calamities in this world, in the end, on the day they give account in the divine presence, their regrets will not benefit them either.

If the rank and status of this world please him and he turns his back on Allah's verses that weigh on his nafs, that rank and status in the world appear before him in the hereafter as a seat of fire. In that case, man wrongs his own self.

Men, because they are created complete compared to women, the headship of the house, (?) from what they earn, on their wives and children they spend. Good women are obedient. As long as these observe Allah's command, Allah protects them, and they, because of their faith, guard both their husbands' property and their chastity. They guard them. Even if no one sees, they know that Allah sees them, and they obey Allah. Give advice to women who do not obey men and who overstep the bounds. If they don't listen to you, leave them alone in their beds for a while. Meeting every provision and need of the house, staying in another house if there is one, or otherwise in another room, keep apart from your wives for a temporary period, by way of discipline.

If they mend their ways and obey you, then do not look for an excuse to hurt them. Allah is watchful over the servants He created and compassionate. Allah Almighty is very great and exalted.

This is the law of the religion of Islam in the family.

Because they did not teach Islam fully — Islam — behind things like glory, fame and rank, taking shelter, thinking "they'll speak of me like this", with their own passion to be the head, to people those who told it half-truthfully have degenerated Islam. That's why no love and respect remained in the family. The young don't recognise the elder. The woman never observes service to her husband.

In this situation the man to his wife, the wife to her husband — no obedience and trust remained.

It is turning into the condition of people living illegitimately.

Allah created man very honourable. Because He created them honourable, He showed them His laws. Although we are created beings, He created us the noblest creature. He gave us of His spirit. He set us apart from other creatures. If we envy the other creatures, then they are like the four-legged ones that came to earth. Even more astray in their way, He says. In this situation, so that some groups are pleased, I never compromise on the verses. As for those groups, if they love Allah, let them never value people who compromise, and let them be governed by Allah's word. This is my advice to my daughters.

Yes.
