Oh you believers! Except for trade conducted by mutual consent, do not consume your possessions among yourselves unjustly (with unjust and impermissible ways) and do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is Most Merciful (Raheem) to you.

Tafsir

O you who believe! Except in the case of mutually consensual exchange and trade, do not spend the maintenance of your children in sensual ways, such as gambling among yourselves, which is the devil's game, and which is like a plague upon mankind. Such situations lead people to disasters, disrupt the family order and lead people to dead ends. Do not turn your own existence into a living dead, like the dead buried in graves, useless for anything. In one of the verses Allah says: "Do not be with the dead".

These dead are not the dead lying in graves. It is the condition of people whose hearts have not been revived. Such people seek unjust gains by usurping each other's property, making unjust gains, and inheriting each other's property with superstitious beliefs. Those who gain or lose their wealth or material possessions in this way become miserable. They kill their hearts spiritually. These are the living dead.

Islam is a religion that takes care of people's social life, their morals and the well-being of its creatures. In this respect, in order for people to find life, they must follow the path that Allah (swt) has shown. Whoever engages in the opposite behavior, he will surely become a restless person in this world and a wrongdoer against his own soul.

If people were to follow the path shown by Allah, if they were to continue on the path with His Verses, there is no doubt that Allah is aware of the conditions of His creatures, He knows who will suffer what by doing what, so He enlightens us with His Verses and says that Allah will surely spare you.

Whoever judges by the Laws of Allah, they will attain salvation and true victory. Allah, the Creator of the universe out of nothing, addressing mankind and taking upon Himself the responsibility of those who judge by His Verses, says that whoever judges by the Verses of Allah, follows the path He has shown and obeys My command, Allah will spare him. O you who believe! If Allah, the Owner of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, says to mankind, as a declaration from Him who is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, (whoever is as faithful to His promise as Allah), according to the verse, "Surely Allah will spare you," does man turn his back on Allah, pursue his ego's desires and follow the footsteps of Satan? Know that Satan and the nafs are enemies of man. Allah invites man to salvation and paradise.

To submit oneself to such a God and to be under the protection of God, but to follow one's ego and make one's existence a living death in the course of one's life is, of course, cruelty to one's own ego. O man! The world does not last for man. All souls will taste death. So make preparations for the Hereafter during your life, before you go to the Hereafter, so that you will find felah.

What is said in the video

Surah An-Nisa, verse 29: O you who believe!

Except when it is trade based on mutual consent. Mutual trade. Except when that is the case. Do not consume your wealth among yourselves through falsehood, through unjust and unlawful ways. And do not kill yourselves. Surely Allah will have mercy on you.

Buying and selling based on mutual consent is trade. To sell my goods lawfully, seeing the person before me as my brother, without seizing the sustenance of his family and children for myself, without taking anything unlawful, within the fair market price my Lord has given me for that trade, even giving up something of your own for the other person: that is the exception. These rest on trade.

Apart from that, deceiving that brother of yours, taking the goods in his hands and leaving him wronged becomes a torment for your own nafs. Refrain from this, He says. He even goes as far as this, in another verse: Do not consume your wealth unjustly by bribing the judges, He says. Do not take it. Do not consume wealth unjustly. O you who believe, except buying and selling, trade based on mutual consent. You, among yourselves, (?) and which surrounds people like a plague, with an evil like gambling, do not spend the livelihood of your families in ways of the nafs. It can be gambling too. A man is in need, he has given at interest.

I mean he has taken interest; an evil like interest. It wraps these people like a plague. As long as a person has not brought his nafs to maturity, the world looks rosy to him, and in the rosiness of this world, without death ever crossing his mind, without saying lawful or unlawful, he loads another's property onto his own back, and, God forbid, Allah protect us, he has driven his hereafter into bankruptcy. The Prophet tells a hadith like this. The bankrupt of my ummah is not the one who goes bankrupt in the world, it is the one who goes bankrupt in the hereafter, he says. How will you go bankrupt in the hereafter?

You will gather the world without saying lawful or unlawful. You will violate people's rights and claims. You will be stingy, following the devil's tracks as if you would never die. And then you will come before Allah saying, I passed my test in the world well. No, there is no such thing. When those people seize you by the collar in that Supreme Court, eleysallahu bi ahkemi'l-hakimin: what does Allah Almighty, the Judge of judges, say? Today, so that no one is wronged, everyone will be given in full what they earned, in return for their own two hands, He says. Then, just as with the trade and the dealings you did in this world you think of your family's livelihood from the money you will earn, you think of how you will make a living in the world, you think of paying your debt if you have one, and if you have something owed to you, you think of putting that money aside and saving it: why do you not think of giving account before Allah tomorrow?

Why, not making this account in yourself, do you do your buying and selling in this way?

Yes.

Situations like these drag people into disaster. They break up family order and lead people into dead ends.

Becoming like the dead buried in graves who are of no use, your own existence is turned into that of the living dead.

Allah Almighty says in His verse: Do not be with the dead. These dead are not the dead lying in graves; their hearts and nafs have found no nourishment. The lives of people. Do not fall into the state of those who, without thinking of Allah and His Messenger, say I am a Muslim, and without saying lawful or unlawful (?), those who are dead.

Those who have killed their hearts spiritually: these are the living dead.

The religion of Islam is a religion that cares for people's social life, their morals and that created beings do not suffer hardship.

Allah Almighty did not send people to the world to suffer hardship. But He also did not send people to the world to live a life prosperous on all four sides.

Then why did He send them? In a hidden realm, every person, according to a covenant he gave his Lord, where? At that call Alastu bi-Rabbikum, when our Lord made a covenant with people, everyone's desire and wish was written for him as his destiny; these people, in a realm where Allah Almighty is not seen, our Lord, afflicting them in their lives and their wealth, testing them with plenty and with want, will make them witnesses to what kind of people they are, to themselves, to those around them and before Allah Almighty. What need was there for this? If our Lord knows, He could have put us right there into Paradise if Paradise, into Hell if Hell.

This comes to a person's mind. Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. No one will be able to question Allah Almighty. The reason: using force on us, frightening us, so that we cannot question Him, He would put us into Paradise if Paradise, into Hell if Hell.

Allah Almighty, as we said a moment ago, is free of deficient attributes. No one will be able to question Him. The questions one would ask, Allah Almighty will create causes, create them, bring causes into being, and each person, according to his own nature, will carry out deeds with those causes and prove what kind of person he is. Well, our Lord already knew; before sending us there, before sending us to the world, if He had taken us straight away, if we say that, as we said a moment ago, our Lord gave the human being a part of His spirit. Allah Almighty, at that call Alastu bi-Rabbikum, all (?) three classes, and eshab-ı meymeneti ma eshab-ı meymenet, how happy are those of the right, and eshab-ı meş'emeti ma eshab-ı meş'emeh, those of the right, woe to them, He says, He said; this third group, in the realm of Lahut, these three companies stand opposite; since Allah Almighty gave the human being of His spirit, Allah Almighty also stands before them exactly, one to one.

When He says, I created you, those there say: You are like me, and I am like you. Where did you create me from? And they wait for the Lord of their imagination. The Lord of their imagination. Yet they know that they were created. In this situation Allah Almighty makes a covenant with them. He knows what state and character they are in, and gives them those characters. Now, since we saw Allah Almighty there, as to whether that person knows Allah or not: so that he would not say, if You had sent me, You who showed Your being here, to a realm where You are not seen, I would have worshipped You there.

So Allah Almighty, who is free of deficient attributes, sent us to an unseen realm. And He makes His being known to us. Now, step up to the challenge. Look, the one who denies still denies. The one who obeys Allah still obeys.

In this situation, Allah, who is free of deficient attributes, created these realms just for this. So that no one could ascribe a fault to Allah Almighty, so that no one could say, if You had sent me to a hidden realm and made Your being known to me, He created these realms and sent us here. What does He say in the end? Every soul will taste death, and your return is to Allah, He says again. So these realms will come to an end. I mean, mankind is a traveler, and on an adventure, making a journey. He is created in the realm of Lahut. He makes a covenant with Allah Almighty. He is raised to the Barzakh. The spirit whose time has come comes to the world.

He lives his life. After he has proven what kind of person he is, his life is full and he goes to the grave, the spirit to the Barzakh. To his grave. Then the Last Day will come. People's bodies will be raised from the earth. With the spirit from the Barzakh, with a driver, they will go before Allah Almighty. In a Supreme Court there will be a reckoning. And its end is Paradise or Hell. The journey will end. We are still on the road, we are still going on.

The religion of Islam is a religion that cares for people's social life, their morals and that created beings do not suffer hardship. So people come into the world, and in the world, as a strange realm, in this realm Allah Almighty gives them a mother and father, and with the feelings He gave the mother and father He has that child raised in its surroundings, has a livable setting prepared for it. Everyone's sustenance is already prepared anyway. In this situation, so that the person does not flounder, He sends him prophets, sends him books. If no prophet is to come after the prophets, He sends scholars.

And He says: the passing of your scholars to the hereafter is like the sun going and darkness coming, He says. Yes, in this respect the religion of Islam is a religion that gives life to the human being, holds a light before him and is a proof for him. In this respect, so that people can find life, people are obliged to walk on the path Allah Almighty has shown. So that he can find life. If you go by your nafs, live as you like. Those who spend their lives in drink, in gambling, in fornication, saying I am living, those who see a Muslim and say he lives like a weed, if only they knew how abased they are, if only they knew how they have given up their honor and dignity,

those who hide behind drink and sink low with words people cannot say, talking like a child, and then saying, I don't remember, and staining human honor and dignity. Are there none? Plenty. Plenty.

Is this it? The human being created most honorable. He lives in this manner, yet says the Muslim lives like a weed by worshipping Allah: that person. One of them, with the trust Allah has given him, I mean with the (?), by Allah's command, turned to Allah in conscience, protects his human dignity and honor. The other tramples it underfoot. Yes. So if you want to live with dignity, if you want to live with dignity and honor, you are obliged to live in the light of the verses. What is a person's most precious treasure today? His religion. Why his religion? Allah Almighty created the human being as the most honorable among the created beings.

The most honorable. If a person cannot preserve the place in which he was created, they are like the four-legged ones roaming the earth, even more astray in their going, He says.

Today, after his religion, the most honorable thing for a person is his chastity and virtue. In this situation, if he drinks, takes his wife on his arm stark naked, and they mix with this one and that one saying we are friends, lie down and get up together, is this the most honorable creation of the human being? Is this their life, trampling their honor and dignity because they are living?

Islam, if it is a person living like a weed, is guarding his chastity and virtue. Because it has not ended within the mindset he follows, his calling the person here one who lives like a weed, and the Muslim being a mirror to him. The believer is a mirror to the believer, I mean to people, they said, a mirror. Today, family outings, within family outings stripping stark naked, men and women together, the very notion of private parts gone, those who cast eyes on one another, and then those looking for the notion of chastity: giving away your most precious treasure.

So our religion, our Lord, makes us the most honorable among created beings with (?) like this. He brings us to the most honorable state.

And in their time He destroyed peoples with moral collapses like these. What does He even say? About the peoples He raised after them, sent after them, He says this: their forefathers, that is, although We destroyed the past peoples, although only a short time had passed over them, how they came to resemble their forefathers, He says.

Although only a short time had passed over that destroyed people, how they came to resemble their forefathers. Yes. I mean, their crossing the limits Allah Almighty does not want.

If my talks weigh on people, I am telling the truth. I am telling Allah's justice. Those who do not say these things, who refrain from them so that people say he speaks nicely, those who fall into the passion of (?), put superstitions into the religion and ruined the religion. The religion of Islam gives a person honor and dignity. It gives him his dignity. The religion of Islam makes a person a human being. A human being.

Then we will know our religion. If, against the one who speaks the truth, we say look how he talks, we head toward denying Allah's verses. We end up disliking them, Allah protect us. But if I speak outside the verses, warn me too.

Isn't that so? Yes.

If people were to go forward on the path Allah has shown, to go on their way with His verses, surely, since Allah knows the states of what He created, since He knows who will do what and meet what, enlightening us with His verses, He declares: surely Allah will have mercy on you. He declares it. He will surely have mercy.

Now,

if I said to my (?) son, take this trust,

take it to that man. Give it, and tell him this and that.

(?) takes this trust from me, he takes it. He tells the man so.

And the man gives Yaşar a good beating and sends him back to me. I am the one responsible for that. I said it, I sent him. And he was not the one beaten, I was beaten. Then I am obliged to protect him. Allah Almighty also tells us this with His verses, and if we put forward judgment by His verses, would Allah ever beat us? If those who go against Allah's verses insult us, and we do not give up anything of Allah's verses, will Allah leave us alone?

This world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter. Yes. It is that simple. For people who will use their minds.

Whoever judges by Allah's rulings, they attain salvation and reach the true victory. True victory. We always say it. True victory is not one person overpowering another and getting on top of him. The victory a state wins by its superiority over another state is also a victory, but it is not true victory. If it wins today, it is defeated tomorrow, it wins the day after; true victory: knowing that this world is a shadow, knowing that this world is a place for a traveler, the people who can win the peace of the true realm, who can win the gardens that are the promise of Allah Almighty, they have reached victory.

And this is true victory. Why true victory? Because we came to this world to prove what kind of person we are. In this situation our return will be to the original homeland. The original homeland is the realm of the hereafter. If I am deceived by the passing state of this world, live in fame and glory and ruin my hereafter, what is that like? Take the sun. It strikes a tree or a building, and the person busies himself with the shadow. With the shadow. When the sun disappears, the shadow will disappear too. The building will remain where it is. Then the building is your origin. To keep the place of this origin firm, not for that shadow, you are obliged to prepare for your true realm.

Yes, whoever judges by Allah's rulings attains salvation and reaches true victory. So Allah, who created the universe from nothing, calling out to people, and taking upon Himself the responsibility of those who judge by His verses, declares that whoever judges by Allah's verses, goes on the path He has shown and heeds His command, Allah Almighty will have mercy on him. Look, He takes the responsibility upon Himself, as I said a moment ago. Isn't that so? This is the greatness of our Lord.

O you who believe! From Allah, the Owner of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, as a declaration to people. Whoever (?) shows faithfulness to (?) promise (?), surely Allah will have mercy on you. If so, should a person turn his back on Allah, run after the desires of his nafs and follow the devil's tracks? Know that the devil and the nafs are enemies of the human being. Allah, however, invites the human being to salvation and to Paradise.

When a person could surrender himself to such an Allah and come under Allah's mercy, his following his nafs and making his own existence that of a living dead while living is certainly (?) against his own nafs.

What a person does to himself, the two worlds together could not do (?).

O human being! The world is not lasting for anyone. Every soul will taste death. Then, before going to the realm of the hereafter, prepare for your hereafter while you live, so that you may find salvation.
