Translation

Against women who commit lewdness, bring from among you four witnesses. If they testify, confine those women to their homes until death takes them away or until Allah opens a way for them.

Tafsir

This verse describes the punishment that will be meted out to two women who have sex with each other. Such women do not like men and have relations with their own sex. As for women who are immoral and disobey Allah's commands, when four witnesses are brought from free men to prove their guilt, they are to be imprisoned in houses until death destroys them or until Allah makes a way for them.

Such women are corrupting, disrupting the family order, and leading people to evil. Islam, on the other hand, is a religion that respects morals, manners and etiquette and values human relations. Allah does not want immorality to spread among people. For this reason, He reveals His verses to people so that they can live in honor and dignity and avoid actions that would be considered an embarrassment to them. Allah, Who has created human beings very honorable, has commanded people with His Verses that such people should not be given the opportunity to avoid such despicable acts, and that the elimination of these women is both an example for the people who will come after them and an example for the elimination of immorality. In this respect, it is a sin for women to show their private parts even between each other. They cannot open up and expose their bodies in each other's presence.

In our time, people use the fashionable thing called swimwear to expose their most intimate parts in pilajas and swimming pools to people who are intimate with them. The people who are there envy each other and then have relations with the ones they like. Allah (swt) has made a covenant with the people He created, one by one. He has written their desires and wishes as their destiny. He knows what these people will do, so He warns us with His verses. It is within the will and destiny of human beings to obey or not to obey the verses. People also commit what are called good deeds and sins, whether or not they obey these verses.

Therefore, Allah, the Creator of mankind, knows the actions of all human beings, down to the finest details, and He informs them in His Holy Qur'an with His verses. In this respect, Allah says: "There is a Book in Us, which is preserved in the Holy Qur'an, and no addition or omission is made to it afterwards". According to this verse, everything wet and dry is in the Qur'an. If Allah informs human beings of the events that all human beings will commit, and we become absorbed in the affairs of our own souls and turn away from the Verses of Allah, the responsibility will be placed on human beings, since Allah is free from responsibility and incomplete attributes. Allah (swt) gives life to human beings through His Verses. He protects their dignity and honor. In one of the verses, We have sent you your honor, but you turn away from it.

According to this verse, women are not allowed to open up in each other's presence and show each other their private parts. Punish such women who have intercourse with each other until death doom them, or imprison them in your houses. Keep them hidden until Allah makes a way for them. By preventing the evil deeds of such women, you will prevent the immorality that will spread among people, and you will be obeying Allah's commands.

Verse 15 Against those of your women who commit indecency, from among you bring four witnesses. If they testify, confine those women in the houses until death takes them away or Allah opens a way for them.

In other commentaries this verse has been explained wrongly.

Some commentaries wrote according to their own heads.

This verse is about the events arising concerning two lesbian women. That is, not of a man and a woman, but of two women committing fornication together, making love. This verse, regarding lesbianism, as a result of two women making love with each other, states the punishment to be given to them. Women of this type do not like men and have relations with their own sex.

Now something comes to my mind. Does the one who travels a lot know a lot, it says. Or does the one who lives long know a lot? The one who travels a lot knows a lot. I have traveled a lot. I have heard many things. I have seen many things.

I had a flat in Ankara. I sold that flat. The women above that flat would gather like this, they would practice lesbianism. People were saying it. These were practicing lesbianism with each other, you see. Yes. Their sins are on their own necks. I did not see it with my own eyes, but that is what people said. So these are the punishments for women of this type. That is why in the Quran too, our Lord: showing their private parts to unrelated women, even if they are women, is forbidden. It amounts exactly to showing them to other men. In this case they cannot even undress together and go to the hamam.

That is, they cannot stand naked next to each other. Except Muslims, except believing women, those. And they hardly undress anyway.

What are we saying? This verse, regarding lesbianism, as a result of two women making love with each other, states the punishment to be given to them. Women of this type do not like men and have relations with their own sex. Concerning women who are immoral and go against Allah's commands, when four witnesses from among free people are brought who will prove these crimes of theirs, they are to be confined in the houses until death takes them away or until Allah opens a way for them. You cannot let them out, because when you let them out they will again commit the same filth; people will help in preventing the filth.

In our time, those who helped prevent the filth were punished; today's situation emerged. They did this on purpose, knowingly, knowingly they did it, because, because one of the English, one of those whose word carried weight, says: these people have a leader in front of them. Unless you remove that leader, you can never defeat these Muslims. They say, who is that leader, who is the leader, who is that leader? The Quran, he says, the Quran. So, to do away with the Quran, whatever morally corrupting conditions there are, whatever events please the human nafs, the Dajjal in the leading role has made the people follow him, (?).

My grandfather used to say this, I remember, I was a child. A time will come, a time will come when faith will resemble a fruit at the top of a thin branch. Blessed is the one who climbs up and takes it without breaking that branch, he says. He also used to give an example like this. He was a captain. In the oceans, amid raging waves, it resembles a boat whose rudder is broken, he says. Blessed is the one who saves that boat from those waves, he says.

Yes. Eyvallah. They are turning the times into that. It has not come yet, but that is how far it is. They are turning it into that. May Allah, God willing, give our people an awakening. Our forefathers, who brought our religion, the religion of Islam, to us by living it for 1400 years, while we, as their children, in 50 years squandered the religion of Islam; within 50 years, and it is still going on like this.

Women are spreading corruption everywhere, they are breaking down family order and accustoming people to evil; Islam, however, is a religion that greatly observes morals, decency and manners and values human relations. Allah does not want immorality to spread among people. In this respect, so that people live within their honor and dignity and avoid acts that would be called (?) for them, He declares His verses to people. Allah, who created people with great honor, so that such base acts are avoided, has commanded people through His verses that such people be given no opportunity, and that by removing these women there be both an example of warning for the people coming after and that immorality be removed; so has our Lord commanded.

In this case, in this case Allah Almighty destroyed many peoples. The people of Lot for homosexuality, for men having relations with their own sex, where morals were corrupted, where halal and haram were not heeded, the people of Salih, because they did not weigh their scales correctly, because they lied, because they deceived one another. The people of Thamud, sir, likewise. The people of Salih too, for not believing these miracles and for slaughtering the camel, Allah Almighty sent calamities to those who transgressed His limits. If we are not being destroyed, I repeat, look, if we are not being destroyed, it is because of the Beloved of the Almighty, from whose light the worlds were created, (?), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), that we are not destroyed.

Why? Is Allah not doing injustice? No. Allah is keeping His word. According to the verse, who is more faithful to his word than Allah? I sent you as a mercy to the worlds, He says. So, since he is the mercy to the worlds and he is alive, He lifted destruction from us, but as the embodiment of His justice, what does He do? Instead of destruction He sends calamities. Back then, a people He destroyed was, let's say, three thousand, two thousand people, whereas today in some calamities thousands of people perish. Yes.

A person must be awake. His eyes must be open. He must use his mind. For this reason, it is a sin for women to show their private parts even among themselves. They cannot uncover in front of each other or display their bodies. In our time, with the fashion plague called the swimsuit, on beaches and in swimming pools, exposing their most private parts before people (?). These people. Then, everything is stark naked there; what, what kind of mind it serves, that place is a beach, supposedly no one looks on the beach. Outside they put on a show of chastity and decency, they cover up. Not fully, of course. They cover up in their own way.

What kind of mind is this (?). Stark naked there, and outside decent, supposedly. If they were allowed, they would walk around (?) outside too. They walk around there, they walk around (?).

The people there do not envy, they envy one another, and then they have relations with those they like. Allah Almighty made a covenant with each person He created, one by one. He wrote the desires and wishes of these people for them as their destiny. Because He knows what these people will do, the verses warn us. Observing the verses or not is within a person's own will and destiny. By observing the verses or not, people also commit the things called good deeds and sins. Here we closed the matter without going into it much.

Today we are not only talking about beaches.

We all see it on television. Sir, people gather, women gather. That hall, in the hall, in the meeting place, on stage singers are singing. And the women get up from those rows and belly-dance.

Now look at the morals. There are so many people there. In the midst of so many people.

As I said a moment ago, a person should use his mind everywhere. His mind. But if what rules a person is the nafs instead of the mind, that nafs always leads a person to wrongdoing. It leads to abasement. So when we say Allah Almighty, spirit, nafs and life are a (?), our Lord says to the spirit: I will give you such a trust that with that trust you will find your pleasures. But if you comply with that trust, follow it, I will abase you. If you rule over it, I will raise you, He says. So a person's being capable comes from the spirit within him. Man is capable. (?), and his being capable comes from our Lord giving him of His spirit. In this case, if a person does not know the worth of that spirit, does not know its value, and submits to the desires and wishes of that nafs, he becomes abased.

And so Allah Almighty, to these: They are like four-legged animals roaming the earth. Even (?), He decrees.

Man knows his own place. If he knows that the spirit, a portion given to him by his Lord, is very precious and valuable, if he gains mastery over that nafs, over the nafs, then that person is elevated in the sight of Allah. Yes. So Allah who created man, because He knows the actual doing of all the deeds people will do down to the finest detail, through His verses in His Quran, to people makes these known. The verses He has made known are our sharia rulings. That is, laws. In this respect, He decrees: in Our presence there is a book that is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. After that, nothing is added to it and nothing is taken away.

According to this verse, whatever there is, wet or dry, is in the Quran. Whatever there is, wet or dry, is in the Quran. Now the Prophet (peace be upon him) says: I leave you such a trust that when you hold fast to it, you will find salvation. When asked, O Messenger of Allah, what is it, he says it is the Quran. The Quran.

One day, while I was on duty, two people come to me and say, we have a question for you.

And I say, ask.

You say this wet and dry is in the Quran, that is, whatever there is, is in the Quran. I don't say it, Allah says it, I said. Allah says it, I said, I don't say it, I said. Well, he says, there are these books of 500 pages, 1000 pages, 1500 pages. Yes, doctoral books, law books, or chemistry books, physics books, are all of these inside this 600-page book, you say? I said: your real aim has become clear; whoever, I said, does not believe in the Quran and hadith, do not answer him at all, do not talk, end the matter, they say, I said; your situation has become clear, I said, go on, may Allah make your affairs prosper.

Yes, because however much you flounder, a hidden agenda will come out from under it; they had called us anyway to make fun of us. But we gave them their answer too. Whoever does not believe in the Quran and hadith, do not answer him at all, do not talk, end the matter. Yes.

According to this verse, whatever there is, wet or dry, is in the Quran. Allah makes known to people the things all people will do. And we take on the states of our nafs. If we turn our faces away from Allah's verses, then of course, since Allah is free from responsibility and from deficient attributes, responsibility is loaded onto people; Allah Almighty gives people life through His verses, protects their dignity and honor; in one verse He decrees: We sent you your honor, and you turn your backs on your honor; honor is the Quran. Now, here some things may stick in people's minds. Let us repeat this part. If we turn our faces away from Allah's verses, then of course, we say, Allah is free from responsibility and from deficient attributes.

Why is Allah free from responsibility? From responsibility. He does not feel a sense of responsibility. Because He has made known to people all the sense of responsibility He would feel through His sharia rulings, and He has also left people's will free. The divinity of Allah brings out every question people would ask, so that man is cut off from that question. So responsibility is loaded onto man. Plus, Allah is free from responsibility. Because He is the Creator. No one can question Him. Even so, because He is free from deficient attributes, so that no question is asked of Him and He is not blamed, He has made known to people all His sharia rulings.

In this respect He is free from responsibility. And every created being is responsible for the work it is to do. Today all the creatures in nature, all creatures, according to the duties they are to do, do their duty. In this case they, those animals, those creatures, everyone, completes their duty within their responsibility, and man (?) irresponsible. So this responsibility has been loaded onto man's back. What is this responsibility? The duties he is to do toward his Creator. Being governed by His sharia rulings.

Allah Almighty gives people life through His verses. Life. He protects their dignity and honor. In one verse He decrees: We sent you your honor, and you turn your backs on your honor. What is this honor? What is this honor? The Quran.

The honor and dignity of all people, their lives, their social lives, above all created beings,

I repeat, above all created beings, man, created as the most honorable, with the verses, if he is governed by the verses of Allah Almighty, preserves his honor. Some people without knowledge, ignorant poor people, ignorant poor people, say: look, this Hodja holds people superior to angels. We go to these people. What kind of person is he? This person. A poor person who knows nothing of his own humanity. People who have put on the guise of a hodja and are ruled by ignorance. And who have put on the guise of a hodja on top of that. That is what he says. Especially in Germany this has spread widely.

Sir, because they sent there people who would not contradict their ideologies, who would suit them. He went there in the guise of a hodja. He will (?) their ideologies to them. He will (?) his own ideologies. These? Look, this man says angels, superior to angels, people; poor man. Well, if Allah Almighty created Muhammad from His light and the universe from his light, what do we say? If He created the universe from his light, the angels too were created from his light. Then if He gave a spirit to the Messenger of Allah and created people from that spirit, then if Allah Almighty, who was to set up the human factory, created our father Adam from clay and, after placing His spirit in him, says to Satan, to Iblis and to the angels, prostrate to him, then you brainless man, have you never read a verse? Is the angel superior, or man?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Astonishing, really. Astonishing. Yes. So because Allah Almighty created people very honorable, our Lord says to us, We sent you your honor. Honor is the Quran, the verses. And you turn away from your honor. You turn away from Allah's verses. Are you that clever, He says to you. Are you cleverer than your Lord? This man, created in haste, who does not know the next moment; if Allah Almighty, who knows what all beings will do until the Day of Judgment, programmed these worlds and sends your honor, sends His verses before you as light and proof, who are you, that poor person who knows nothing of the next moment, that you turn your back on the proof by which your Lord holds up a light to you, with honor, as illumination?

Turn it, then. What happens? You dig your own well yourself and leave yourself in darkness. Yes.

No one can change anyone's thinking. Nor change his destiny. His destiny. In this case every person is responsible for what he does. But with our Lord's command, we, each other, we will say, rather. We are obliged to warn each other with our Lord's verses. Eyvallah. Yes. Because there is a proverb. Look what it says. One eats, the other watches. That is what brings on the Doomsday. So you, governed by your Lord's verses, while buying Paradise, to the other suffering in the fire of Hell, would your heart consent? So you will warn. You will explain. If our words come to people like a slap, that thing that looks like poison is a cure for the soul.

Yes. So according to this verse, women cannot uncover in front of each other and cannot show each other their private parts. Women who have relations with each other like this, punish them until death takes them away or confine them in your houses. Until Allah opens a way for them, for them, keep them hidden. Keep them guarded. By preventing the evils such women would do, prevent the immorality that would spread among people, so that you will have obeyed Allah's command. Yes.
