Do not give your wealth, which is a means of support provided by Allah to those who are not immature of understanding. Feed them with this wealth, clothe them, and speak to them with kind words.

Tafsir

When Allah (swt) intended to send human beings to the world, He created many materials for their livelihood in the realm of property, so that they would be able to bear witness to Allah (swt) and the world around them in accordance with their covenant. People earn their livelihood with these materials. Do not give the money and property that they have earned through hard work, or the property of orphans, or the property of orphans, or the property of minors, or those who are of limited intellect, and who are unable to use it or make it work. Because they do not know the value of these things. People who do not listen to rights and law, and who do not fear Allah, deceive such people who are not capable of self-sufficiency, and take away their livelihoods from them, thereby victimizing them. Then for a lifetime such people will be miserable.

Since Allah (swt) is very kind and merciful to His creatures, He has informed us of His laws to protect people. Do not give the property of people who are incapable of self-government, who are of limited intellect and who are minors. Let you or their guardians put them to work and provide for them, speak sweet and kind words to them, clothe them and treat them kindly. In this way, these people will not be victimized and tormented in their lives. In this way, those who are weak in mind and unable to earn a living, as well as those who will need this wealth, can benefit from it and live their lives. The people who are the guardians of people who have little understanding are the people who protect such people by taking them under their protection and fulfilling the commands of Allah, even if they do not need these goods.

What is said in the video

Your property, which Allah has made a means of your livelihood, to those who lack understanding, that is, to those not of age, or to those with a mind unable to support themselves, do not give it. Feed them from that property, clothe them, and speak kind words to them, it says.

It was the orphan's property; he has no understanding, he cannot manage himself, and you, out of your faith, said I fear Allah, and gave it to him; since he could not manage himself, he squandered his property and was ruined himself, he fell into need. That is when, it says, do not let him fall into need; he is not in a state to manage himself. You use his property, do not give that property to him, feed him all his life, give him drink, nourish him and speak sweet words to him, it says. When Allah Almighty willed to send people to the world, so that, according to the covenant they gave, they could make themselves witnesses to those around and to Allah, He created many things for these people to provide their livelihood in the great world.

He made people sustained by eating and drinking, and these people, since He made them sustained by eating and drinking, so that in buying and selling, in trade, they could prove what kind of people they are, He sent them to the world. Allah Almighty already knows what they are, in a (?) realm, in a realm where our Lord is unseen, what kind of beings people are, what rank they have, so that they could prove what kind of people they are, He granted them many sources of livelihood in the world. While they buy, sell and trade with those sources of livelihood, they prove what kind of people they are.

People provide their livelihood with these created things. The money and property one has worked for, or the orphan's property, to those who lack understanding, who are not of age, who are of weak mind and are in no state to use their property or put it to work, do not give it, it says. Do not give it. Why? If you give it, he will squander it, scatter it, and you will bear the sin for this. Because you will have brought him to destitution. Because these do not know the value of this property; people who heed no right or law, who do not fear Allah, deceive such people who are not (?) of themselves, and taking from their hands the property that would provide their livelihood, they wrong them.

Then, for a whole life, such people suffer misery.

Allah Almighty, since He is very compassionate and merciful toward His creatures, has made known to us His laws that will protect people. We call these conscience; with those laws, with the laws our Lord has made known to us, what people need and how we can treat them, within the light of faith, the compassion and mercy in our hearts, and what is called the sense of conscience in us, raises our ranks in Allah's sight.

Those who cannot manage themselves, who are of weak mind and not of age: do not give them their property.

You or their guardians should put this property to work and provide his livelihood. Let them speak sweet and kind words to those people. Let them clothe them and treat them well. In this way these people too will not be wronged and suffer torment during their lives. Thus those of weak mind, to the degree that they cannot provide their livelihood, and also those who will need this property, continue their lives by benefiting from this property. Even if the guardians of people of weak mind do not need this property, their taking such people under their care and protecting them is carrying out Allah's commands.

If these people, these people are poor, in a hard situation for their livelihood, that is, if the person who is the orphan's guardian is poor and in a hard situation for his livelihood, by putting the orphan's property to work he may eat a certain, well, part of his property. By putting it to work, a certain part of its profit, that is, a part sufficient to provide his livelihood, he may obtain from that orphan's property. Allah Almighty, in a verse, we will mention it later. Put the orphan's property to work, so that zakat does not eat it up, it says.
