Translation

“Oh Our Lord! Bestow upon us what You have promised through your Prophets, and do not humiliate us on the Day of Judgment. You surely don’t deviate from Your promise.”

Tafsir

O our Lord, grant us what You have promised us through Your prophets. Because You do not break Your promise and no one can be as faithful to His promise as You, O Allah.

O our Lord! Do not throw our sins that we committed during the period of ignorance in our faces on the Day of Judgment. Your forgiveness is abundant, You are tawwabur rahim, who loves forgiveness and accepts repentance. Accept our repentance. Forgive us our sins for the sake of those you love.

Do not make us disgraced and disgraceful on the Day of Judgment, we trust in you alone, we rely on you alone and we hope and ask for help only from you, O Allah. Because you, O Allah, are the one who created us out of nothing, the absolute owner of the universe and omnipotent. Without You, neither this universe nor the creatures You have created can come to life. Do not include us among the people who turn their backs on You and say that they will be alone and desolate in the Hereafter, but include us among the people who are on the straight path and obey You and join the ranks of those whom You love.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-i Imran, verse 194. The verse: Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through the prophets, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Judgment; surely You do not break Your promise. Yes, Allah Almighty never breaks His promise. Who is as true to his word as Allah? Is that a verse? Yes, who is as true to his word as Allah? O our Lord, what You promised us through the prophets — what did He promise? Through the prophets — the prophets said: whoever worships and obeys his Lord, Allah will grant them His paradise. Whoever, after me, obeys the scholars and abides by the verses those scholars explain, they too, by Allah's mercy, will attain the gardens of paradise.

Scholars, scholars raised by our Lord Himself,

grant us the heirs of the prophets too. That is, grant us those scholars too, so that they show us what is right and tell us the truth, so that they light the lamp of the love of Allah in our hearts, so that they strive to engrave our Lord's light into our hearts. Of course, if there is a seed in them too, (?) will come to life.

Yes.

So, O our Lord, grant us what You promised us through the prophets, for You do not break Your promise, and no one can be as true to a promise as You. O Allah, they say. This is how they surrender to Allah, wholeheartedly.

O our Lord! The sins we committed while living in our time of ignorance, (?) do not throw them in our face on the Day of Judgment.

Allah Almighty forgives our sins through His attribute Al-Ghaffar. And through His attribute As-Sattar He covers our sins. As long as you never return to them again. Do not return. Do not return to those sins. Because, through the worship you perform and the (?) you feel toward your Lord, Allah will not throw your time of ignorance in your face. Why not? Because He created our minds imperfect and did not create us apart from sin. If we had not erred, We would have destroyed you and created servants who err, He says. This is so that the human He created knows his helplessness and becomes a servant to his Lord.

So if you too have turned to Allah with a sincere heart, felt remorse for the sins you committed in your time of ignorance and repented, our Lord, as Al-Ghaffar, has forgiven your sin, and as As-Sattar, has covered it. So do not reveal your sins, says Allah Almighty, do not reveal them.

Your forgiveness is abundant; You love to pardon, You accept repentance, You are At-Tawwab ar-Rahim. Accept our repentance, forgive our sins for the sake of those You love, we say — for the sake of those You love, since they too have the right of intercession, right? What do we say? O Lord of the worlds, the prayers we have made, in Makkah al-Mukarramah, in Madinah al-Munawwarah, in the places where prayers are accepted, join them to the company of accepted prayers, we say.

So, to enter the company of the people in those places where prayers are accepted,

and in the hereafter to be freed of the sins we committed in our time of ignorance — since our Lord is At-Tawwab ar-Rahim, the One who accepts repentance often, merciful, abundant in forgiveness, a bountiful sovereign — if you never again return to what you did, you will have attained your Lord's mercy.

That is, do not disgrace and humiliate us on the Day of Judgment. We have trusted in You alone. What did we say? Hasbünallahu ve ni'me'l-vekîl, ni'me'l-mevlâ ve ni'me'n-nasîr. What an excellent trustee You are, what an excellent support, and what an excellent friend. Friend, yes. I did not mishear. And what an excellent friend. This is how Allah draws near to man. This is how He draws near. To what He created. We have relied on You alone, and our help is only from You. We ask of You, O Allah. For You are the One who created us from nothing, the absolute owner of the universe, who has power over everything, O Allah.

Without You, neither the universe nor the living beings You created would come to life. Not among the people who turn their backs on You and of whom You say in the hereafter that they are alone, with no one, but among those on the Sirat al-mustaqim who, obeying You, have joined those You love — join us to them, they say, we say. These are our prayers.
