Tafsir
Abu Sufyan, the commander of the enemy troops, who could not achieve any result in the battle of Uhud, said, "O Muhammad, let us meet you at Badr on the same day next year," to which the Prophet (PBUH) replied, "Inshallah.
On the same day on the anniversary of the year, the Prophet (PBUH) arrived at the agreed place with a troop. Abu Sufyan also set out with the troops he had prepared. Abu Sufyan finally gave up the fight and returned back to Mecca. The Muslims made a profitable exchange there and returned to Medina.
This is why this verse was revealed. They proved that a prophet does not go back on his word, and that Muslims fear Allah, not men, and that they will sacrifice their lives without hesitation to repair the mistakes made at Uhud and to spread Islam to all four corners.
Allah (swt) reveals to us in this verse that He is with those who know their Lord. (So they came back with Allah's blessing and favor without any evil touching them). He informs us with the continuation of this verse that Allah is with those who say Allah, that Allah is their protector, that no one can prevail over those who are with Allah, that those who submit themselves to their Lord will be loved and protected by their Lord, and that they will finally attain the pleasure of Allah. (Thus they attained the pleasure of Allah).
Allah is the Great in mercy. He is gracious to His creatures and wise in His work. And Allah is the trustee and the support of His servants and the best of Mawla.
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, verse 174. The verse. "So they returned with grace and bounty from Allah, no harm having touched them, and they followed the pleasure of Allah. And Allah is the Possessor of great bounty."
Here the Battle of Uhud is mentioned again.
But of course, as we always say, the verses do not belong only to that time; the secrets of the meanings here, all of them, are to shed light on the future and to take lessons from the past. Abu Sufyan, the commander of the enemy troops who achieved nothing at the Battle of Uhud, while leaving the battlefield said: O Muhammad, let us meet at Badr on the same day next year. Upon this the Prophet (peace be upon him) answered him, saying: inshallah. Between the two there is a (?) difference in speech. One speaks as if he had a life lasting until next year and some proof of it in his hand. What does it say?
When Abu Sufyan, leaving the battlefield, said: O Muhammad, let us meet at Badr on the same day next year, the Prophet (peace be upon him) answered him: inshallah. That is: if my Lord permits, if I am still alive. Yes.
On the anniversary, on the same day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) goes with a unit to the agreed place. Because Allah Almighty says in His verse: who is more true to his word than Allah?
They ask our mother Aisha about the character of the Prophet (peace be upon him); she says: wait a minute. She brings the Holy Quran from inside and tells those who asked: this was the Prophet's character, and shows the Quran. And (?) sent him as a mercy to the worlds, sent him to complete good character. So according to the verse "who is more true to his word than Allah", of course he will be true to his word. He said inshallah, and on the anniversary he did not forget it; with a detachment he goes to the agreed place.
On the same day the Prophet (peace be upon him), with a unit, arrives at the agreed place, on the anniversary. Abu Sufyan also sets out with the troops he had prepared, but Abu Sufyan in the end gives up fighting and turns back to Mecca. And the Muslims, after doing profitable trade there, return to Medina. Yes, if someone sets out for Allah, of course Allah will shower His mercy on them. Abu Sufyan too, in the end, became a Muslim.
After many events, of course. So this verse was revealed for this. They proved that a prophet does not go back on his word, and that the Muslims fear not people but Allah, and that to make up for the mistakes made at Uhud and to spread Islam to every corner, they would sacrifice their lives without hesitation on this path. The Muslims.
And the Prophet keeping the word he had given. What does it say? "So they returned with grace and bounty from Allah, no harm having touched them." That is, going for Allah's sake on the anniversary to the agreed place, their not fearing (?), according to the verse that Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgment, they will be helpers of that light. If the fighters who will raise the banner of Islam until the Day of Judgment go there for Allah, of course Allah Almighty will shower His mercy on them, and what does it say: "So they returned with grace and bounty from Allah, no harm having touched them." Yes.
"And they followed the pleasure of Allah."
And these people fulfilled the qualities that Allah Almighty wants to see. And they attained Allah Almighty's mercy and pleasure. How blessed they are. To attain the pleasure of Allah. "O soul at peace, return to your Lord, well pleased and well pleasing; enter among My servants, enter My Paradise": the people to whom He says this, those with whom Allah is pleased and who are pleased with Allah. Yes.
"And Allah is the Possessor of great bounty," it says. Of course He is the Possessor of wisdom. Where, when, why, why He does something, Allah knows. And He makes known to His people as much as He makes known. He makes it known to His servants.
Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty explains to us with this verse that He is with those who know their Lord. Yes, whoever, on the path of Allah, does what Allah says, surely Allah too stands behind him.
A duty, and a sacred duty.
What is this duty? Since there will be no shortfall in Allah Almighty's word, He will keep Islam until the Day of Judgment alive, He will complete His light, and those people in the barzakh who will come until the Day of Judgment will come to the earth, and they too will be loaded with truth and falsehood, and finally, having proven what kind of people they are, they will pass on to the hereafter. In this case, these people who fulfil this sacred duty, who (?) for the spread of Islam sacrifice their lives: of course Allah Almighty will be behind them.
As a human being, if we send a letter to a head of state, and our envoy sets out to take that letter to that head of state; let us say you too are a head of state, or an aide, and you are sending a letter to that head of state: of course you follow that envoy in the best way and you want that letter to reach its destination. You do this as a human being. And Allah Almighty will make Islam known to His servants until the Day of Judgment. Since He will not call anyone to account for what He has not made known, of course He will also help the Muslims with this power. He will be behind them.
What do we say? Allah Almighty explains to us with this verse that He is with those who know their Lord. And how beautifully He explains it. Saying "So they returned with grace and bounty from Allah, no harm having touched them" means that Allah Almighty is with those who say Allah, and that their protector is Allah, that no one can prevail over those who are with Allah, that those who surrender themselves to their Lord will be loved and protected by their Lord, and finally that they will attain Allah Almighty's pleasure: this He makes known with the continuation of the verse. "Thus they attained the pleasure of Allah," He says.
Allah Almighty is the Possessor of great bounty. He (?) His creation, He is wise in His work. Allah Almighty is His servants' guardian, their support, and what an excellent Master.
Both support and an excellent Master.
kuvvete illa billahi'l-aliyyi'l-azim. Yes.
Allah Almighty is the Possessor of bounty. He is the Owner of all.
Whoever is with Allah, Allah Almighty is with him too. Well, the people living in this universe, on this world we live on, are far from Allah; is Allah then far from them? You might ask me such a question. We said: whoever is with Allah, Allah is with him.
Allah Almighty, with His attribute ar-Rahman, treats all His creatures in the universe with His mercy. He does no injustice to anyone. He guarantees the sustenance of His creatures and gives them their sustenance. Without loading onto anyone's back, within his destiny, a burden he cannot bear, He creates causes so that he may prove what kind of person he is. Sometimes with their lives, sometimes with their wealth, He tests them within the burdens they are to carry within their destiny. This testing is not because our Lord does not know what kind of person he is.
He knows where, when and what every single living being that will come until the Day of Judgment will do. So why does He do this?
Because He sent people to (?) world, to their first world, and since He will not call people to account for what He has not made known, and after those people have made themselves, those around them and Allah Almighty witnesses to what kind of people they are, saying: this is what you were, after they have proven themselves within their lifetimes, they pass on to the hereafter. So Allah Almighty, so that they prove what kind of people they are, that is, so that those people prove what kind of people they themselves are, tests them with their wealth, their lives, with plenty and with want. Those persons, within the feelings they live, within the deeds they have done, with the judgments they make (?) by their own will, make themselves, those around them and Allah Almighty witnesses.
And when he has completed his life, Allah Almighty has his soul taken, and finally he returns to the (?) world he came from. He waits there until the Day of Judgment. On the Day of Judgment, every soul with a driver, that is, with the (?) of the bodies, when the souls are paired in the presence of their Lord, when you come into My presence with a driver, according to the verse, sir, according to the verse "We give you life twice and death twice", we are called to account in the presence of our Lord. Without any way out for us, within Allah Almighty's attribute of being Allah, in a working of His that no one can question Allah Almighty about, in return for what they did, everyone will receive the full recompense of what they earned.
In full. Yes. We pray that Allah Almighty, in this world, joining us to those servants of His who live in the most beautiful way, that is, who worship Allah, with whom their Lord is pleased and who are pleased with their Lord, grant us and make it easy for us that our souls are taken so. Yes.
