Translation

To those who sit and say about their brothers; “If they had followed us, they would not have been killed”, say; “If you are truthful people, save your lives from death”.

Tafsir

Those who did not go to war but stayed at home, and said about their brothers who were killed, 'Look, they did not listen to us, they went to war and died there. If they had not gone, they would not have been killed, they would have revealed their lives on that day and held themselves as witnesses to Allah and to the world around them. God creates such events and people either come to faith or fall away from it.

Allah (swt) says: "If you are truthful, then save your souls from death when death comes to you. There is no soul that does not taste death. (All souls will taste death) According to the verse, every living being is mortal. One day he will surely die and will have to give an account before Allah (swt).

In the previous Verses, Allah says: "Wherever death is written for you, you will go there with your own feet and fall there". So man will live whatever he has been ordained to live. No human being can deceive Allah with his tongue. Because that person will live exactly as he is destined to live, and through his actual actions, he will combine what is in his heart with his will, and will receive rewards and sins. After living out one's destiny through all these events, one will give an account of one's life before Allah on the Day of Reckoning, without any evasions.

What is said in the video

We have no questions (?). We have come to Surah Al Imran, verse 168. Surah Al Imran, verse 168.

'To those who sat in their homes and said of their brothers: Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed — if you are truthful people, then save your own lives from death, let's see — say,' says Allah Almighty. 'To those who sat in their homes and said of their brothers: Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed — if you are truthful people, save your own lives from death, let's see — say,' says Allah Almighty. You know, in the previous verse it says, I mentioned it a moment ago too, the verse: 'They go to the place where they will fall,' it says, 'on their own feet.' 'We have put in their hearts,' it says, 'in this way,' it says, 'an incurable wound,' it says.

An incurable wound. That is, with their talking like this, their lamenting over those they love, 'Had they stayed with us it would not have been like this' — because they are far from Allah, their love, their longing is an incurable wound in their hearts, it says. Whereas instead of that, instead of these words, had people said: Each of us is our Lord's servant; our Lord entrusted us to one another. And we, in a world where we will be called to account with one another and be tested, within our own destinies, within a divine manifestation of our Lord, we will all taste death, and our return will be to Him. So He created us, and to Him we will return.

Within that person's destiny, so-and-so going before his Lord first and attaining Allah's mercy — instead of saying such words, those who have lost hope in Allah, those hypocrites, or people outside Islam, what do they do? Those who associate partners with Allah according to their own fancies — 'Had he been with us he would not have been killed' — with such words they compete with one another in (?) Allah. And in this case, with Allah Almighty too — instead of that love of theirs being the love of Allah, their love for those people and, because of that love they have for one another, their growing resentment against Allah, in their hearts an incurable (?), it says.

How beautifully our Lord says it.

Yes.

Those who did not go out to battle but sat in their homes. You know, those who said, 'We don't know war's (?).' About their brothers who were killed: 'Look, they didn't listen to us. They went to war. They died there.' Their saying: 'Had they not gone, they would not have been killed.' Laying bare how they lived that day — pay attention to our wording. Laying bare how those people lived that day, that is, as it says in the verse above, we are pointing to the verse. 'They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts,' it says. 'That day they were nearer to disbelief than to faith,' it says.

Yes, words are very important. laying bare how they lived that day, it was to make them witnesses over themselves before Allah and those around them. You know: 'To single out those hypocrites,' it says, 'We did this.'

By creating such events Allah lets people either come to faith through these events or drift away from faith. Or else he reveals his own nature, or with their tongues they end up saying (?). That is where how they lived that day comes from. So Allah Almighty: 'If you are those who speak the truth, when death comes to you, save your lives from death, let's see.' Now, to these hypocrites, or enemies of religion, or to people outside the religion of Islam who hold various ideologies — His address. (?) 'Come on,' He says. 'Save your lives.' There is no soul that will not taste death. Indeed, every soul will taste death.

That is the verse. Yes. Every soul will taste death. According to the verse, every living being is mortal. Every living being. It will certainly pass away. It will die. That is, when you say it will pass away, it will leave the world.

Passing away does not mean being lost or coming into being. How will we come into being? On the Day of Judgement, at the Gathering, Allah Almighty, with our bodies, down to our fingertips, will resurrect us. He will give the very same. He will create the very same. Down to our fingertips. Just as wheat, a pomegranate, a pear, an apple, a seed brings forth its own fruit, its own kind, so in man too there is a cell that neither burns, nor dies, nor is lost. Allah Almighty — in the sixth layer, in that water which is only sea — when that world comes forth, they will water, and, it says, as they sprout from the ground, those people will again be resurrected. Down to their own fingertips.

Meeting together with the spirits — 'when you come into My presence with a driver', 'when the souls are paired' — according to the verse, at the Supreme Court the bodies will bear witness for or against the spirit, wherever it used them. 'I will call you to account for the way you used the bodies I gave you,' says Allah Almighty. And the verses all (?) one another so beautifully like this. Yes.

One day he will certainly die, and in the end he will give account in the presence of Allah Almighty. Every soul will taste death. And finally, after that Judgement, in the presence of Allah Almighty we will be called to account. In the earlier verses Allah Almighty says: wherever death is written for you, you go there on your own feet and fall there, He decrees. Yes. There are some things that are hidden. Allah, these are not known by Allah Almighty. What are they? Sorry. Not 'not known by Allah Almighty'. Look. Human nature: right away a word missing. That is, these are not known by people. There are some events. Only Allah knows them.

What are they? It will rain somewhere, but how much will it rain? Man cannot know this. He knows it will rain. He cannot know how much it will rain. When will a person die? This is different too. He cannot know that either.

Where will a person die? He cannot know this either. (?) 'Well, I'm not going anywhere. I'll die here.' You can never know. (?). While going somewhere, in a traffic accident — what does it say? 'You go there on your own feet and fall there,' it says. Or somewhere else, visiting a sick person, in another town, when you go to visit a friend of your spouse, a heart attack or a sudden illness, there you (?). Not knowing where he will die either; a person — will he (?) tomorrow or that day? He cannot know this either. Yes.

So every soul will taste death, and finally in the presence of Allah Almighty we will be called to account. In the other verses Allah Almighty decrees: if deaths are written for you, you on your own feet will go there and fall there. So whatever a person has had decreed for himself, look, whatever a person has had decreed for himself, that is, Allah did not decree it for you, you had yourself decreed: your desire and your wish became your destiny; one must pay great attention to (?). What are we saying? So whatever a person has had decreed for himself, that is what he will live. That is, if his desire, his wish became his destiny, that person will live that destiny.

He will prove what kind of person he is. 'Did you think you would die before proving what kind of person you are?' That is the verse. Yes.

No person can deceive Allah with his tongue.

That is,

no person can deceive Allah Almighty with his tongue. Why? Because (?). When he made the covenant, his wish became his destiny. Allah Almighty gave him that destiny in the form of characters. There is no living being (?) among those to come until the Day of Judgement of which We are unaware. In these circumstances, according to these, Allah Almighty knows what people will do with their tongues. No person can deceive Allah. He deceives people. He gets through people's door, but at Allah's door he is stopped. Yes. Because that person, because that person, living himself out fully in his destiny, through his actual (?), uniting what is in his heart with his wish, reward and sin he will receive.

Yes. He will unite what is in his heart with his wish and will receive reward and sin.

After living out his destiny through all these events, with no way out left, in the presence of Allah on the Day of Reckoning, he will give account of his own life. He will give account of his own life. When?
