Oh you believers! Do not be like the deniers who say about your brothers who go to campaigns on earth and fight; “If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, and they would not have been killed”. With this thought, they have planted into their hearts a regret (for their closed ones they have lost). Allah is the One giving and taking life. Allah sees what you are doing.

Tafsir

O you who believe! Do not say of your brothers who march or fight in the way of Allah that if they had stayed with us they would not have died or been killed. Allah has ordained a lifetime for every human being. Each person lives in his own destiny. Do not talk about people who are living their destiny. Since you do not know what is in their destiny, you are putting your finger on the destiny that Allah (swt) has written for them. Such talk is the hypothetical talk of the age of ignorance and ignorance of Allah. Only those who rebel against Allah and turn away from Him and hypocrites who are ignorant of the light of Islam speak such talk. By saying that they would not have died or been killed if they had been with us, they have put an irreparable wound of longing in the hearts of those who have lost their relatives. They are writhing with this pain.

However, Allah is the giver and the taker of life. No living being dies without Allah's permission. Allah the Creator created the universe and programmed it until a certain time. Surah Yasin Verse [37 - 40]

Surah Yasin 38

The sun also moves around its axis for a certain period of time and this is the will of Allah, the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

Within this program, Allah (swt) has tied everything to a specific time after He has made a covenant with mankind. Within this specific time, in the unfolding of events, people experience their own destiny. To say that if this or that had happened, it would not have happened, is to be unknowingly involved in the events created by Allah.

Those who do not believe in Allah's providence, who live far away from these situations, make decisions by extrapolating events according to their own minds. In such cases, such people commit shirk. People who are ignorant of such events, those who judge according to their own minds, put the love of those who were killed in their hearts as an irreparable wound of longing.

Allah (swt) sees what people do. Allah, the Creator of the universe, did not create the universe outside of His appearance and His will. If He had created any being outside of His will, He would have created it extra and the balance of the universe would have been disturbed. Nor did He create any being outside the appearance of His Essence. The created beings were created in need of Allah. If Allah (swt) had created beings outside of His vision and was unaware of their condition, then those created beings would have suffered injustice.

When Allah (swt) says that Allah (swt) sees what He has created, Allah (swt) is the One Who is aware of what He has created, and there is no other God but Himself. All of creation knows the remembrance of Allah. All these beings are under the appearance of Allah (swt). He is the One who knows their state, He is the One who illuminates them and He is the One who watches over them with His might. Allah, the Almighty, is the Sustainer of the course of the universe, who, as the Owner of His creations, gives life to all His creations in the realm of property within a certain period of time, i.e. during their lifetime, with His attribute of Merciful. No living creature dies or comes to life without His command.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Imran, verse 156. O you who believe! We continue our tafsir with the verses of Allah Almighty.

O you who believe! Regarding those who set out on journeys on earth or fight — their brothers — do not be like those who disbelieve and say, "Had they stayed with us they would not have died or been killed." Why? Do not be like them. Because they have no faith in Allah. They (?) do not know that resurrection after death is true either. (?) they do not value these. They do not recognize Allah as Allah. They only cling to the idols in their own imagination. So they associate partners with Allah. They try to take revenge on Allah. Yes.

Muslims, people who believe in Allah, who have faith, within their destinies say that what our Lord decreed for them will surely come about one day, and believing in His verses — according to the verse saying "You will go to where you will die on your own feet." (?) and of those who go on campaign, in this way, they do not say, "Had they been with us (?), they would not have died or been killed." So, (?) those who go on campaign and die: so his destiny was there, that was his rank, he was to be a martyr, they say. If he returns, they call him a mujahid. Mujahid. So such mujahids fighting in Allah's way are people whose ranks are raised.

Through the actions they do.

A Muslim thinks like that. Do not be like those who say "we would not be killed". Allah made this belief, for the loved ones they lost, an incurable wound of longing in their hearts, it says. If you exclude Allah Almighty, turn your back — "you went with them, you fought, what business did you have there, you died, you were killed" — if one says this, against Allah their love for them, and since he does not believe in that day when He will settle accounts in His presence, Allah Almighty, in return for their love, that is, the love for those killed, into their hearts as an incurable wound of longing places.

When He says an incurable wound of longing: hostility towards Allah — "what did you go for, you fought in His way, what did you gain, from your life you (?)" — saying this, their love increases their rebellion against Allah. Because they love people, their rebellion against Allah increases. (?) says: the Creator is Allah, the one who gives life is Allah, who takes it is Allah, our owner is Allah.

Look, it says exactly that. It is Allah who gives life and takes it. Allah sees fully what you do, it says. Indeed, the one who gives life and takes it is Allah.

He gave us to one another as a trust; we are tested with one another, we prove what kind of people we are.

If we come to our tafsir,

O you who believe, do not say of your brothers who go on campaign or fight in Allah's way, "Had they stayed with us they would not have died or been killed." Allah has decreed a life span for every person.

What is a life span? People choosing for themselves the times they will live within their own desires, and within those times, together with those feelings, His placing those characters in them, and finally, when that time comes, his falling into the mother's womb, living the time he himself desired, and in that time, with the deeds he will do, by his own desire and wish, however long his life is, that number of breaths being given to him as a life span. Now, the children who come in this age — if we brought them 100 years earlier, they would (?). If they had brought us 100, 200 years earlier, we too would (?) next to them.

So, according to the times, according to (?) and our deeds, Allah Almighty, who forms our feelings into characters in us, in such a way that no person could in any way say, "If You had sent me in that time I would have been better" — in such a way, when He made a covenant with people at the address "Elest-i Rabbiküm", their desires and wishes, their aims He gave them as destiny — our Lord, who, to them, whatever time they desired as most beautiful for themselves, gave feelings accordingly and made them live within those feelings; if a mujahid, his being a mujahid, if a martyr, his martyrdom, if he is to live to the end of his life, his living, if he is to die by accident, his accident — He programmed all of it, from that program in such a way that nothing will ever be compromised; why never compromised?

The verses. When your life span is full, not an hour back, not an hour forward, it says, he goes. So in that case people, people live their lives, prove themselves, and finally, as it says, life is given and taken by Allah, all (?) — in the verse, our souls (?) death, and according to the verse "your return is to Me", in the world man will have proved himself, and our return will be to Allah.

Do not talk about people who live their own destinies. Since you do not know what is within their destinies, you would be putting your finger on the destiny Allah Almighty has written. Yes. A Muslim never says, against or in favor of the one who died or the killer, "Had he done this, it would have turned out so." Because in no one's destiny does he put his finger on what is in it. So we say: so his destiny was like that, he was to go that way. Or we say his decree was like this, it was to be like this, and we put our trust in Allah.

Such talk is, from the age of ignorance and from not knowing Allah, spoken speculation. Speculation — that is, words that never, never exist outside the verses. Only those rebellious to Allah, who turn away from Him, and hypocrites speak these. Because those who, outside the verses, deify their own nafs, boasting, in pride and arrogance, in grandeur, as if taking revenge on one another, or as if they loved each other dearly, they begin, ignorantly, to talk nonsense. Their talk is not worth a hazelnut shell. Because of their saying "Had they been with us they would not have died or been killed", for the loss of their loved ones Allah Almighty has placed an incurable wound of longing in their hearts.

They writhe with this pain. Yes.

Yet it is Allah who gives life and takes it. No living being dies without Allah's permission. Allah the Creator created the universe and programmed it until a fixed time. These worlds He programmed until a certain time. In Surah Ya-Sin, verse 38, the sun too, around itself, for an appointed time moves. The sun. This is the decree of Allah, the Mighty, (?) the Knowing, who knows everything. So Allah Almighty, (?), there the sun, now, as an example to us He gives. What does it say? The sun too, around its own axis. That is, it turns around its own axis. How beautifully it tells us. The earth and the moon turn around its axis.

It tells us everything. The sun too, it says, turns around its own axis. And what does it say there? It moves for an appointed time. An appointed time. That is, until the Day of Judgment. After that it too will, how to say, break apart.

So within this program, after Allah Almighty made a covenant with people, He tied everything to a certain fixed time. Everything is tied to a certain fixed time. Nothing is outside the program. Nothing. That is, nothing is coincidence. That is, nothing is luck. You know, "I came across it by chance, this happened by my luck." These go as far as associating partners with Allah. Or go as far as not recognizing Allah. Coincidence. That is, Allah did not know. What you would do — you came upon it by chance. Or it happened by your luck. Yet the keys of the unseen were in Allah's hand, in the noble verse.

So nothing is either luck or coincidence. Everything manifests within a program. And (?).

Within these appointed times, in the manifestation of events within this appointed time, people live their own destinies. To say "had this been so, that would not have happened" is to meddle unknowingly in the events Allah created. Allah programmed it for you. Who are you, I said, who are you to say "had this been so, that would not have happened"? That is, Allah could not know, you knew. Or else Allah had no function here. You tied all events to your own mind. You could not say: his decree was so, (?) was so, his aim was like this, his time was up, his life was this long. You could not say it, that is. You could not (?) to Allah.

Only you could not speak rightly of that person. Yes.

So those who do not believe in Allah's decree, who live far from these states, the events they generalize according to their own minds and pass judgment. In such cases, people like this fall into shirk. Allah Almighty has placed — of those who fall into shirk and judge according to their own minds — the love for those killed, as an incurable wound of longing, into the hearts of such people. Was it you who did not believe in Allah's decree? Was it you who did not believe that after death all souls are returned to their Lord? Did you create that loved one, as much as Allah loves, or His creation — Allah cannot manage it but you managed it? So here, take it: as an incurable wound, his love, since you are far from Allah, into your heart settles this way.

Yes. Allah Almighty sees fully what people do.

He encompasses and perceives all eyes.

He, of this universe, every particle,

its movement, hears and sees.

Allah Almighty sees fully what people do. Allah, who created the universe, did not create the universe outside His own sight and His own will. Like this: you set up a factory; within your own power, within your own sight, you run it, run it; outside your own sight, what kind of shady dealings go on, you cannot know. Allah Almighty does not leave things to shady dealings. He, all these worlds, within His sight, within His rule, creates. He creates. And when it says He has power over all things — from atom to cosmos, He governs all, knows the state of all and provides accordingly.

Otherwise not like this: (?).

So in matters people do outside their own sight, how others run, steal, scrape, or what kind of action they take, they do not know. When they have a few companies under them, to their management they leave them, abandon them. Now and then they gather and inspect them. Allah Almighty has no (?) for gathering and inspecting. He sees it all, (?). That is why He creates no being outside His sight. If He had, that being would suffer torment. Allah is not unjust, He is the owner of His creatures, the giver of sustenance to all. Yes.

If He had created any being outside His will, He would have created it in excess, and the balance of the universe would be upset. Yes.

Nor did He create any being outside the sight of His essence. Created beings were created in need of Allah.

Atom and cosmos were created in need of Allah. If Allah Almighty had created a being outside His sight, if He were unaware of the states of these created things, then those created beings would suffer oppression. Indeed.

Food — their bellies hungry, there is no food. They want death, no death. They have (?) illness and troubles, no escape. You want death, no death. Even if I commit suicide, there is no suicide. Because there is no death. Just think of His sight. In that case Allah Almighty would be ascribed attributes. Allah did not create such a world. Since all these worlds, all these worlds are within His sight, He over all things is powerful.

So when it says Allah Almighty sees fully what He creates, Allah Almighty, besides whom there is no other god, is the one aware of His creatures. All created things have known the remembrance of Allah.

All of creation. The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known their Lord's remembrance. Notice, all I am saying is the counterpart of the verses anyway. From the start we have been speaking the counterparts of the verses.

All these beings are under Allah Almighty's sight. It is all the (?) of the verses. That is, the counterparts of the verse "He has power over all things". That is, He who knows their state, provides, and by His power sees and watches over them.

He sees all eyes and encompasses them, it says — always matching the verses. Allah Almighty, powerful over all things, as the owner of His creatures, in the world of dominion, within a certain time, that is, throughout their lives, to all His creatures He who gives life with His attribute Ar-Rahman, and of the universe sustains the (?).

In the abnormal things people sometimes do, making them fail (?), and that program not (?) — without His command no living being dies nor is revived. Yes.
