They (the Jews) have plotted traps and Allah disrupted their plots. Allah is the best of the plotters.
Tafsir
The Jews set a trap for Jesus. They wanted to catch Jesus and crucify him. And they trapped him and imprisoned him in the synagogue to crucify him. Allah (swt) broke their trap. He took Hazrat Jesus from the synagogue and raised him to the heavens. He saved Jesus from the oppression of the Jews. The traps that the Jews had prepared had come to naught.
This means that Allah does not feel the need to set traps for people. Allah does not intend to trap people and oppress them. Because Allah does not need to prepare traps. He creates and does whatever He wills. The meaning here is: Allah breaks the traps that people have prepared for their oppression of people in ways that people would not think of, and Allah breaks their traps. The meaning of the best of those who set traps is that traps are set to torture people or creatures. Allah, on the other hand, eliminates these traps in terms of giving life to His creatures within their destiny, and the fact that people fall into the traps they set themselves or that these traps are eliminated means that Allah is the best of those who set traps. This is one of Allah's mercies to us.
If Allah had not created this universe and programmed it according to a program, but created it randomly and left everyone alone with their own existence, the strong would not grant life to the weak, the law of the jungle would prevail, the strong would destroy the weak, life and living would become unbearable, and the world would groan with the oppression of the oppressors.
Thus, Allah (swt) brings to life the verse (Alhamdulillāhi Rabbil ālamin) Allah is the Lord of the worlds and brings to life the right to life of human beings towards human beings through the various feelings and thoughts He has given to human beings, each human being having different feelings and emotions. In this respect, Allah has programmed these worlds in such a way as to give the right to life to the people who will come until the Day of Judgment in proportion to the covenant given by the people. If the traps prepared by people are outside of this program pot, the traps will melt and disappear in this program that has been programmed until the Day of Judgment. Therefore, by saying that he is the best of those who set traps, Allah (swt) grants life to human beings. Because Allah does not intend cruelty to the worlds. By destroying the traps of the oppressors, they bring about events according to the covenants of the people and make them bear witness to Allah through the actions of each person in his or her freedom.
What is said in the video
We had come to verse 54 of the Surah.
The Jews set a trap. For whom? For Jesus.
And Allah foiled their traps. Allah is the best of those who set traps.
Let us read the commentary and open it sentence by sentence. The Jews set a trap for Jesus. Why did they set it? We always say it: this group is the mischief of the earth because of that; this group is used to killing its prophets because of that; and this group, because of this, has incurred Allah's curse.
It is a cursed heart.
They wanted to seize Jesus and crucify him.
And they trapped him and locked him in the synagogue to crucify him. In the synagogue. And Allah Almighty foiled their traps. How did He foil them? Is it you who sets a trap for him? Is it you who puts him into the synagogue? When their commander went inside to take Jesus (peace be upon him), Allah Almighty had long since raised him to the first heaven. And their commander who went in, seeing that there was no one inside, could not come out. His soldiers took their commander for Jesus. And the one crucified was not Jesus, gentlemen, ladies. The one crucified was their commander. Yes. He had Jesus taken from the synagogue and raised him to the heavens.
What does it say? They locked him up. And Allah Almighty foiled their traps. He had Jesus taken from the synagogue and raised him to the heavens. He saved Jesus from the oppression of the Jews. The traps the Jews had prepared came to nothing. Yes. Here a verse of Allah Almighty also comes to light. What does it say? When Our command of destruction goes out for a people, the prophet among that people and those who follow him We remove from there, it says.
Just as He removed Lot. Just as He removed Salih. Just as, in Noah's flood, He had a ship built and saved him.
Yes.
So: Allah is the best of those who set traps. That is, the meaning of this is that Allah feels no need to set traps for people.
When it says He is the best of those who set traps, Allah does nothing to anyone outside their destiny either. Well then, how is this ‘best’? Best. Since what each person earns is the return of their own two hands, He does not allow events that are outside people's destinies according to their own minds, and does not lead them into greater kufr. That is the best of those who set traps. He protected them too. Yes. We already say that Allah does not set traps for people and intend wrong for them. Because Allah has no need to prepare traps. Whatever He wills, He creates and does. Once Allah wills a thing, He carries it out.
The meaning here: the traps people have prepared for the wrong they will do to people, from directions that would never occur to people, Allah foils their traps. The meaning of ‘the best of those who set traps’: the traps that are set are for torturing people or creatures. Allah, however, so that life may be given to His creatures, in terms of giving it, removes these traps that were prepared, making people fall into the traps they set themselves, or having these traps averted; that is what ‘the best of those who set traps’ means. And this is part of Allah Almighty's mercy to us.
Short logic explains this. If Allah had created this universe without programming it within a program, creating it at random and leaving everyone to themselves with their own existence, the strong would not grant life to the weak, the law of the jungle would rule, the strong would destroy the weak, life and living would become unbearable, the world would groan under the oppression of tormentors. So according to this verse, in return for the verse that says He is the best of those who set traps: alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin, praise be to the Lord of the worlds, it says. Why? Because He is the One who gives life to His creatures, who watches over them, who protects them within their destinies, who keeps them clear of every disaster and torment outside their destiny and gives them life: Allah.
Alhamdulillah. You are saying: I praise Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Yes. Look below here as well. We have written it; it repeats it here too. So, Allah Almighty: Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin. Allah is the Lord of the worlds. Yes.
here
the verse is cut off; let us see whether there is more. There is, but we have explained one point: Allah, bringing forth the verse ‘Allah is the Lord of the worlds’, with the various feelings and thoughts He has given people, each person being moved by different feelings, brings forth people's right to life toward one another. In this respect, in proportion to the covenant people gave, until the Day of Judgment, Allah has programmed these worlds to give the right to life to the people who will come. The traps people prepare melt and vanish in the crucible of this program. That is why He declares that He is the best of those who set traps.
Allah Almighty grants life to people. Because Allah does not intend wrong for the worlds. By also removing the traps of those who would do wrong, and bringing forth events according to people's covenants, with the deeds each person has done in their own freedom, they make themselves witnessed before Allah. Yes.
